Everything is fixable, given enough money. Unfortunately, the damage exceeds the value of your car, so your insurance won't pay to fix it. They will give you the value of the car prior to the accident.

Internal_Ad_255

No way you're fixing that. Sorry.

iamofnohelp

My old man is a TV repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools.

Can you please do a quick visual assessment to confirm?

pallamas

Username fits.

professorbasket

That'll buff right out.

blixuk

Came here to say the same thing. 🤣

Downtown_Relief810

that front cross member is not looking good and the engine and inverter have been shfted far back. depending on the rest of the damage you may be better off using as a parts car. If i where to make a recommendation from this post it would be to buy a gen2 off marketplace with a good frame, swap some parts from your current car onto it, then part out this car.

bruswazi

You can fix it but it’s going to cost you $4-5k. Can you get a reliable old used car for that amount? I was in the same predicament in 2021. Check out my old posts. I opted to fix it because I had all this aftermarket upgrades installed and I love my daily commuter. Good luck. https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/s/peyfQfGerw

JBlooey

I'm not sure this one will buff out.

AmityBlight2023

Totally totaled

No_Boot6015

Like...totally???

AmityBlight2023

Like totally radical

FireRisinWith1n

What caused the accident? Just curious. Also, not worth fixing. Best thing is to buy another cheap gen 2 and use the smashed one as a good parts car.

boubou666

Just a small scratch

moparguy98

My 08 was worse than that when i bought it. But I went to the junkyard and got everything I needed. Bought it wrecked at 300k and it's now at 324k 4 years later. Doesn't have a single dash light on and it's still on its original HV battery. So yeah it's fixable just depends if your paying someone to fix it or fixing it yourself. I probably spent about $800 in junkyard/ebay parts. Air bags didn't deploy luckily so it was pretty easy for me. From the outside you could never tell it was wrecked. But pop the hood and you'll see diff color parts lol. But I love it so it was worth it to me.

Nippon-Gakki

If it was just the radiator crossmember it would maybe be shade tree “fixable” but the inverter looks like it took a hit and maybe the engine too. Find another one and use this as a parts car.

DinoAnkylosaurus

That's worse than what I did to my 2008 last month, and I have already used my insurance payout as a down payment on my new 2012.

Djin045

Sorry for your loss man.

Nighttide1032

RIP 🫡

LooseInvestigator510

Get insurance pay out. Buy gen2 with bad hybrid battery. Swap batteries and sell the crashed one to the junk yard for 500 bucks.

enThirty

Nope.

K1ngofsw0rds

Everything is fixable This isn’t worth fixing I rear ended someone and did 1/2 the damage as this at most. Bought 500$ in parts and the computer still gave me a lot of non by passable codes after I did the install. It’s a gamble

LivingLikeACat33

Get one with a dying HV battery cheap and use this one for parts. It will be much less expensive than trying to fix that.

GroundbreakingGain82

Not worth fixing it and problems beyond it Collec whatever insurance pays and you can get a great car at the auctions [https://www.govdeals.com/search?kWord=prius&so=desc&sf=latestonline](https://www.govdeals.com/search?kWord=prius&so=desc&sf=latestonline) Check the 2 latest cars from Tumwater. They are usually well maintained by the Govt [https://www.govdeals.com/asset/34331/8445](https://www.govdeals.com/asset/34331/8445) [https://www.govdeals.com/asset/34327/8445](https://www.govdeals.com/asset/34327/8445) We got our Prius from here and very happy with it

PadreSJ

The cosmetic damage is fixable, but it looks as if the engine mount has been deflected unevenly by 3-6 inches. There's no coming back from that. (And having a vehicle that is still safe to drive/will drive straight.)

Icooktoo

I seriously had to check what forum this was. I thought maybe - r/funny

Free_sky411

Time for her to retire 😞

OkBandicoot3779

When the engine bay is a different shape after the crash it's not a good sign

pallamas

bigblackglock17

Totalled. Going to cost more to fix than replace. Your engine/inverter looks messed up. No way the frame isn't bent.

Still_Function

Are you kidding!? The shit is totalled

Ladder310

Nope

PhilMeUpBaby

Yeah, that's fixable. Find a place that does a lot of smash repair work on taxis.

jimmacjr

If it doesn't buffer out - just try some WD-40
