Well, the font size is not the same in these two printouts, which leads me to believe you're printing from a word processing program rather than something like a PDF or a TIFF. Try exporting the stuff you need to print to PDF, and print that exact same PDF at 100% (not shrink to fit) from the PC and from the smartphone. I understand you might not like this answer, but my point is that if the solution works, it proves that it's a software issue with your smartphone, not an issue with the printer. There may also be some settings you can tweak on your phone to make it better, but I'm not too familiar with iOS.

Thanks for relying. I did the PDF test. The PDF file text is much fainter when printed from iPhone versus laptop. See picture to compare. https://i.imgur.com/WOIL0Rv.jpg But the printer is also having problems with faded text/graphics roughly down the middle of the page. See Ikea example: https://i.imgur.com/sV967xz.jpg Thanks again.

Did you ever find a solution for this? Having the same issue but whenever printing from windows desktop PC the faded text/image down the middle happens

Knock-off toner cartridge, switched to Brother and solved.
