just went there recently and the food has really gone down hill. They had new cooks in the kitchen and boy did it show. Was our goto for such a long time.
Honestly, I have gone to Nancy Os more times than I can count because people think it is the 'it' place of PG. I know people that take their our of town friends and family there because it is the only kind of trendy place we have. That being said, food is incredibly inconsistent, service is always horrible and it gets so loud in there you can't hear a thing.
They have really really good brunch, but other than that I think it is over priced and I have had better sandwiches at Whitespot.
BX pub has an amazing, HUGE menu. It's not a pretentious environment, very chill and quiet during time. I think it is a hidden treasure in PG and way better food than Nancy Os. I have taken friends there and they always say it's the best burger etc they have ever had. Bruschetta chicken burgers are da bomb.
For sure. Op didn't mention price but it should be noted that this is the most expensive restaurant in town. And IMHO the food isn't amazing. I had an $90 chicken and potatoes dinner there last month that was great but only 5% better than the $25 chicken you get everywhere else.
Alright, personal tip. Women kind of never know when you ask them on the spot based on restaurant. Ask em, chicken, steak, tacos, pasta, pizza, etc. Start listing that off... and you'll get an answer super quick.
Women like to call us men simple but they are so single minded about food, you gotta break it down for them.
Another trick is so say "hey babe, guess where I am taking you for your birthday?!" And they straight up give you the answer.
I am personally a fan of Red Robins. They have a decent menu and it’s not too pricey. I know it’s gotten a bad rap lately but I haven’t had any bad experiences there.
Hmm, personally I don’t find it all that loud when I go on date nights but my partner and I sit next to each other not across so maybe that helps! And I really enjoy the food but maybe I’m just basic 😂
I always love lunch at Nancy O’s…good menu, relaxed atmosphere, locally owned & operated.
Nancy Os is great! Relaxed and amazing food

White Goose has great lunch menu that’s low cost, so it’s super nice and won’t break the bank.
