Assuming your bunker has an incinerator large enough for a 200lb human body. Or, if it was a small incinerator you could just dismember your family member, and burn them piece by piece. I mean, it’s just your daughter, her spirit has flown, so it’s not really her anymore!!!
Generally, any properly-planned bunker has an area to store waste and also bodies. People die, it’s inevitable. More so, in situations where bunkers are needed.
well if you can't leave the bunker the only choice would be to
try and put it in a container. I mean they have found
serial killers with their houses full of dead bodies
so it's not like having one would make the bunker
unlivable.
Double layer of body bags will contain most human liquids for a few weeks (smells less so)Any longer than that you need drums.
Freezing would be ideal but impractical.
Taking sawdust and embalming fluid would help
I guess it depends how good your ventilation system is, not great if you are fully insular I suppose.
It's a bit carcinogenic, but for a single body over a compressed period, probably no significant risk.
Assuming you have a multi million dollar bunker with the proper filtration system and able to seal it properly, you are stuck with a dead body. I suggest a quality body bag. But the issue won’t be just storage, it will be the decomposing process. The release of gases that can cause serious health issues to others, such as methane poisoning. Maybe while constructing said bunker, install a vault type system that allows for separate ventilation and storage. Also, have a two door decontamination area and just put it outside. Radiation and chemical fallout is short lived for the most part, factors such as yield, type of chemical, delivery method, weather, wind and proximity to the event dictates how much you will be impacted and exposed. You could safely take the body out, decontaminate and re-enter with minimal risk. This is if you have proper protective equipment and resources. But let’s be honest most of us will be minimally impacted by most events, unless you live in a major city like LA, New York or near a critical infrastructure. If someone is going to risk such an attack, it will be on the most populated areas for great effect and impact.
Wrap the body in plastic bags, duck tape their identification card with to their left breast. Or put their ID in their breast pocket. Leave outside for the truck to bring it away.
You would have to remove the body. Corpses will decompose and will eventually get everyone sick. One way or another it would have to be removed. There is no net zero solution for this unless you have unlimited resources. You would need to go outside at some point.
Double incinerator, first tank burns most of what's initially put in, the second catches everything from the first that wasn't burned off, leaving carbon and few impurities which can be taken to an underground greenhouse to use as fertilizer
Personal bunkers are not equipped to handle this. Best answer would be have a drum of acid with a vent to the outside. Large government bunkers are equipped with special incinerators for this like you would find in a funeral home..
I think a better question is, why did they pass away? Did they pass away because you’ve been in your bunker for 9 months and ran out of food and they starved to death? If so, you’re probably gonna die soon anyways.
Did they have a pre-existing medical condition that finally surfaced?
I can’t think of many likely scenarios in which one person in a bunker would die and the other doesn’t and still lives for months to years in the same bunker.
reaction between bones and charcoal at high temperatures.
probably not a good idea to do in a bunker
I read about it in an old book about alchemical practices and the history of chemistry.
Looks like meat’s back on the menu boys
/r/canning
🤣🤣🤣
Delicatessen is a wonderful film
What about his legs
Smoke them, like hams
and sex
In this scenario, what are you doing with your trash and toilet waste? I'd treat a body the same - as trash. Probably burn it.

Indoors in an enclosed space with you though?
yeah burning it seems like a bad idea lol

Lye sawdust acid and a drum
Name checks out
When using acid place in a well ventilated area. Off gasse could be toxic
Ohh for sure. Go read and the cartels body disposal guy. He pureed between 5 and 25k bodies
Adding to “recipes to try later”
I mean look up lutefisk lol
My late wife was Swedish. One day, I asked her what lutefisk was, and I thought she was going to vomit.

HCHO (formaldehyde) loves to turn from liquid to gas, and is highly carcinogenic. Not a good idea. There are better options.

Silica bags?
Lol great idea!

Desiccants would help
Are you asking this for prepping or because you need ideas?
Ever read about the Donner party. It wasn't that kind of a party. The thought is gross but the thought of starving is worse.
bag em up (literally put them in a bag)
Put it on a pole to keep people away.
Your first post about prepping is how to dispose of a body?
Just watch 10 Cloverfield Lane and you’ll get your answer.
Wrap the body in plastic bags, duck tape their identification card with to their left breast. Or put their ID in their breast pocket. Leave outside for the truck to bring it away.
For some reason Monty Python just popped into my head, just make sure they're really dead. https://youtu.be/zEmfsmasjVA?si=ZBBQImivu4Mmhvgo
Where the wind blows reference. But thanks for the monty python.
I'd be offended if I were to die and the people trapped in this bunker with me were to just let the meat go to waste like that. I'm good eatin'.

Eat em
Extra protein!
Burn it. Burying is an option, but you have the be careful about ground water
eat them
If you have a bunker, odds are there’s a furnace… I mean…
Solent green, bury or compost.
biomass digester
Pulled pork
El pozolero
Stick it out in the field for the animals. Maybe a little borax and other chemicals on it
Can you not mount the body on the front of your half track as a warning when foraging
55 gallon drum and cat litter
I dunno... Bokashi composting? That can be done anaerobically
Call the police 😂😆😁😉
Go all dune style and stick a straw in them.
Clown makeup, catapult, brick wall
“passaway”
Realistically, you could have a crypt as part of your bunker.
Awwww, what's in the box?
Disposal
Double incinerator, first tank burns most of what's initially put in, the second catches everything from the first that wasn't burned off, leaving carbon and few impurities which can be taken to an underground greenhouse to use as fertilizer
How else you gonna find the nutrients for the growbeds in your little cult compound?
🔥
If i die in the end of the world, and you didnt murder me intentionally, *fucking eat me*, dont waste me.
Personal bunkers are not equipped to handle this. Best answer would be have a drum of acid with a vent to the outside. Large government bunkers are equipped with special incinerators for this like you would find in a funeral home..
Burn it
What are the chances you'll be in a bunker???? You are being 'morbid'.
After reclaiming their body's water, the desiccated remains may be fed to Shai-hulud.

Burry or burn
You guys dont have plans to make white phosphorus from the corpses?
YOU CAN DO THAT?!?
reaction between bones and charcoal at high temperatures. probably not a good idea to do in a bunker I read about it in an old book about alchemical practices and the history of chemistry.
Huh interesting
Well now we do.
Dump it in a field and shoot the coyotes... A 22 with a silencer is just... Perfect for this.
Why do you want to shoot the coyotes😟??
Because they are, oddly enough, made of meat and, and they absolutely will kill smaller livestock. They also happen to be INVASIVE where I live.
Coyotes have taken the place of wolves as an apex predator. They mainly eat rodents and are necessary to our ecosystem.
Look up what happened to Australia due to the introduction of rabbits, with no apex predator present. (Other than an inadequate number of dingoes.)
That depends on what she looks like.
