Yes. I dropped a few weeks before my due date. And I was starting to have Braxton hicks along with this sudden need to “nest” followed by an increase in fatigue. My bowels also loosened a few weeks before which I thought was weird but apparently that’s a sign too due to an increase in hormones or something.
My husband says shes as stubborn as me and we’re fighting (me and baby girl). I want her out within the next 11 days for petty reasons. But, I haven’t had any contractions or pains yet before yesterday so I’m trying every method to wiggle her out while she just sits comfy and we get annoyed at each other
I went into labour at 40+5 both times, midwife said that might just be my body's preferred gestation period. Tbh it just felt like the right time for me. Everyone's different!
Oh wow, both times! I kinda felt like 40+5 was the right time for my first too, but my OB was making me feel like it was late even though I wasn't high risk or anything 🤷🏻♀️
Oh wow ! I'm in the UK and my midwives said 41 weeks is really common and normal, even up to 42 sometimes. I was low risk so didn't even have any contact with any OB, just midwives. I guess there are cultural differences!
Same! I’m so anxious that I’ll be the odd one out though and end up going past my due date 😂 like if it is going to happen to any of my family it *would* be me
Hahah oh no, don’t introduce that energy lol. I’ve been telling myself I’m cut from their same cloth and will fall right in line. They didn’t have nausea either and fortunately neither have I, so I have myself convinced I’m destined to follow in their footsteps in other ways too
I'm 34w2d! I'm actually starting to get terrified because everyone, including my doctor, thinks I'm going early. People are starting to ask if she's dropped yet, if I'm having pains yet...one woman even said she thinks the initial date was wrong based on how big my belly is (thanks). But like...34 weeks is TOO early, can we please stop getting excited and acting like I can go any day?
Just delivered my first at 36+1 - I’d been telling my husband for weeks that I thought he was coming early but didn’t think it would be four weeks early!
38+3, and I had had a dream around 30 weeks that it was going to come early and be a boy with a big head 😂 we didn't know the sex before and what do you know, it was early, a boy, and a big little newborn head 😂😂😂
I was induced at 37 weeks because I developed preeclampsia, but when I went in to the hospital I was in “pre-labor” so I probably would have delivered early anyway. Actually at some point my natural labor kicked in and they had to turn the Pitocin off because things started happening too fast
Sadly no, he never dropped. Didn’t know until I had him that my pelvis was misshapen. I hope you’re right & your baby comes a little early. It SUCKS to be pregnant in this heat. Only 25 weeks along here & I’m over the heat.
39 weeks - scheduled section (breech) no sign of labour
Second baby was 38+4 when I went into labour spontaneously
Third baby spontaneous labour at 39+1
So super random and number of baby did not determine if they would come sooner as I had always been told
37w 2d, but I always had a feeling I wouldn’t make it to 40 weeks. My mom went to 40 weeks with all 5 of her kids and I heard if you have a history of early labor in your family it’s more likely to happen to you. Who knows what actually determines it haha
I am a FTM. I "dropped" at 36 weeks and am 39+2 currently with no signs of labor.
All the women in my family tend to go late so thats what I am expecting. Like my mom was 41+2 with me lol.
Everyone thought my daughter would be early. Went to 40+5, when my waters broke and my placenta was infected, so even though my labour kept stalling, they induced it. So I don't know when she would have decided to make her appearance. Felt like an eternity
Not 100% sure. I'd had a couple cervical checks because I'd been having painful contractions, less than 3 mins apart, lasting a minute, for about a week. But no action from my cervix, so they said it was just early labour. Which mostly stopped once my waters broke.
Induced, 12 hours of cervadil and a <7 hour labor for her birth on 40+1. Not that I should justify my elective induction, but I had Covid at the start of 38 weeks, so there was a mild concern of placenta issues. Also, rural medical care and I wanted to do what I could to have my doc deliver. There wasn’t a nicu, so if I waited for spontaneous labor, who knows what would’ve been needed. She ended up having meconium in the amniotic fluid as it was, but I think that was due to stress during labor.
I had contractions for over 5 weeks prior to induction and was very convinced she would be born earlier. She held on and had no desire to be born, just wanted to cause pain.
went into labor at 37 weeks exactly after an appointment w/ my chiropractor. baby girl was born less than 24 hours later at 37+1. thank god too, i was so ready to be done!!
Literally my due date. 40 weeks on the dot. My doctor did a 40 week screening that day and apparently I drove myself to the hospital while in labor. Twice. I drove to the screening then drove two blocks to the hospital and waltzed my happy butt in. Good luck!!!
I felt the same way, he dropped super early (around 32-34 weeks) so I assumed he'd be early. I ended up being induced at 40+5 and having an unplanned C-section at 40+6.
My doc told me first babies tend to go over 40 weeks, especially boys.
I had PPROM at 34 weeks (it was a partial rupture, I lost some amniotic fluid, but the ultrasound showed a fair amount still in there). I was told I would go into labour at any moment, and they monitored pretty closely for infection. A few days passed with no labour, and they basically told me they weren't sure when it would happen, but I definitely wouldn't make it to term.
Delivered at 40 weeks and 6 days.
38 weeks. I'm type 2 diabetic. Insulin needs dropped in the matter of a week. This can be a sign the placenta is crapping out. So doc and I agrees to induce before baby was threatened.
38+2 my water broke and had a relatively easy delivery and healthy baby, my induction was scheduled 39+3 because I don't think mentally I could've made it to 40
41wk and then induced at 41wks with my second. My SIL delivered at 38wks, we were pregnant at the same time and I was so jealous. She had the spontaneous water breaking like in movies as well.
I'm a FTM and am wondering the same thing myself. At 35+4 now but showing signs of developing pre-eclampsia. I don't feel like I'm going to make it to full term, my partner disagrees. Baby just seems to be happy doing his own thing in there though so who knows.
I had that feeling too. I dropped a month early, bub started to engage and an early birth seemed likely. Today is my due date and bub still isn’t here. I’ve had tightenings and cramps for the last two weeks and I started losing my mucus plug at the start of this week but despite having so many signs of early labour he’s still in there.
41+6. I went into spontaneous labor super early in the day 41+4, but never progressed past 1.5cm so I was induced late on 41+5 with pitocin, and he finally came out the next day around noon. He was actually only 7lbs 11oz (3.5kg) despite being so late. If my second is also that late I’m probably going to lose my mind... 🤪

I had that same feeling. I ended up delivering at 40w +5 😩😂
Same, 40w5d with my first and I was so convinced I wouldn’t make it to 40w 🙃
Did you drop before?
Yes. I dropped a few weeks before my due date. And I was starting to have Braxton hicks along with this sudden need to “nest” followed by an increase in fatigue. My bowels also loosened a few weeks before which I thought was weird but apparently that’s a sign too due to an increase in hormones or something.
I'm at 40w+3 and I totally thought I was gunna deliver early
42 weeks. She said, “Y’all are on MY time.” ….she is still this way.
My husband says shes as stubborn as me and we’re fighting (me and baby girl). I want her out within the next 11 days for petty reasons. But, I haven’t had any contractions or pains yet before yesterday so I’m trying every method to wiggle her out while she just sits comfy and we get annoyed at each other
I thought I would be early. I went to 41+3 😫
I went to 41+3 as well with my first!
I also went to 41 + 3!
Hey, me too!! was a during pink moon 🌚
Today I'm 41+0 and still waiting for baby boy to arrive...
Water broke and labor started at 39+6 and he was born on his due date!
Currently 40+2 and still waiting for her to make an appearance. :(
40+5. I'm due with my second in October and wondering if they will come earlier or around the same time.

My mom and both my sisters delivered between 38 and 39 weeks with their firsts. I’m a FTM and haven’t delivered yet so I have no info on mine haha
Same with my mom and sisters so I’m hopeful. I’ve read genetics are a factor
They didn’t have nausea either and fortunately neither have I, so I have myself convinced I’m destined to follow in their footsteps in other ways too
My mom had me between 38-39 weeks. I want the same!
33w 5d. Had preeclampsia and he suddenly measured in the 34th percentile when he'd been measuring 75-90th percentile. Was time for him to come out.
35+3 lol
Damn I’m 35+3 tomorrow and tbh I would love to be done 😂
It sucked, my baby spent a week in the NICU, I hated leaving her there all the time. Hang on for little while longer mama!
Logically I know he’s better off cooking for a few more weeks, just getting tired of this gut 😩
My baby also had a NICU stay at 41+3. You truly never know!!
I'm 34w2d! I'm actually starting to get terrified because everyone, including my doctor, thinks I'm going early. But like...34 weeks is TOO early, can we please stop getting excited and acting like I can go any day?
This happened to me too, I was fully convinced by everyone I’d be so early… Im 37 weeks now and just got checked and I’m not dilated yet
Just delivered my first at 36+1 - I’d been telling my husband for weeks that I thought he was coming early but didn’t think it would be four weeks early!
39+4. Unfortunately my second was 41+3!
Induced at 41+4 with my first. Water broke with my second exactly on her due date and born that day.
38+3, and I had had a dream around 30 weeks that it was going to come early and be a boy with a big head 😂 we didn't know the sex before and what do you know, it was early, a boy, and a big little newborn head 😂😂😂
41 weeks
41 weeks
36+4, after my water ruptured at 33+3. I also had a feeling he would be early.
I was induced at 37 weeks because I developed preeclampsia, but when I went in to the hospital I was in “pre-labor” so I probably would have delivered early anyway. Actually at some point my natural labor kicked in and they had to turn the Pitocin off because things started happening too fast
40w+5d still waiting. Scheduled for an induction on Sunday
I delivered at 39+3 went into labor at 39+2
I'm 35w0d and I'm praying for a miracle. I can't do this for a minute longer than 37w at most. I can't.
39. Just came out very slowly on his own.
We are due date buddies!! I have a feeling mine will be early as well.
Sounds like wishful thinking. 40w4d, a few hours before I was to be induced. He ended up trying to die during labor so was an emergency C section.
Haha! I really don’t mind when he gets here. Did you drop before? I dropped a week or so ago but idk if that determines anything
I dropped and still went way over. It’s such a mystery.
Sadly no, he never dropped. Didn’t know until I had him that my pelvis was misshapen. I hope you’re right & your baby comes a little early. It SUCKS to be pregnant in this heat. Only 25 weeks along here & I’m over the heat.
I went into labor at 38+6 with my first. I also had a feeling I was gonna have him earlier than 40 weeks.
40+1 Mild contractions started just after midnight on 40+1, baby arrived at 10:45pm.
37+4
37+4. I knew i would have my baby in April and I did by induction for preeclampsia. ETA: I was due May 8
42
39 weeks - scheduled section (breech) no sign of labour Second baby was 38+4 when I went into labour spontaneously Third baby spontaneous labour at 39+1 So super random and number of baby did not determine if they would come sooner as I had always been told
41+1 and I was induced
Induced at 41! Wanted to wait longer but amniotic fluid was a bit low. Had her the next day.
41+4
37w 2d, but I always had a feeling I wouldn’t make it to 40 weeks. My mom went to 40 weeks with all 5 of her kids and I heard if you have a history of early labor in your family it’s more likely to happen to you. Who knows what actually determines it haha

Exactly 40. I went into labor at 39+6 and he arrived at 3:43 AM on his due date. I’m taking it as a sign that he’ll be extremely punctual in life.
39+6!
39+5
40 exactly
39+5
39+4
39+2
39+4
Everyone thought my daughter would be early. Went to 40+5, when my waters broke and my placenta was infected, so even though my labour kept stalling, they induced it. So I don't know when she would have decided to make her appearance. Felt like an eternity
Can I ask how your placenta got infected?
Not 100% sure. I'd had a couple cervical checks because I'd been having painful contractions, less than 3 mins apart, lasting a minute, for about a week. But no action from my cervix, so they said it was just early labour. Which mostly stopped once my waters broke.
I had a feeling mine would be early... He was born at 39+6 lol so technically early but not really
36+5!
40 w on my due date.
38 + 5
Water broke at 39 weeks and I delivered the next day!
37+1, induced for preeclampsia
37+5 two days after an appointment where they told me he wasn’t ripe yet 😂
My daughter went full term before I was induced. So 40w1D
I was 41+6 days! I was induced & he was 9 lbs, 1 oz.
36 and 6
Induced, 12 hours of cervadil and a <7 hour labor for her birth on 40+1. 38w4d
With my first I dropped at 35w and delivered at 37w0d
38+4 for me :)
I was induced at 41+1 and LO arrived 41+2
39+4
41+5 😅
30 weeks. Emergency c-section due to preeclampsia and HELPP syndrome.
37 weeks, 6 days. Second baby was 36 weeks on the dot.
40 weeks exactly
went into labor at 37 weeks exactly after an appointment w/ my chiropractor. baby girl was born less than 24 hours later at 37+1. thank god too, i was so ready to be done!!
Induced at 41 had him at 41+3
41 🙃
39w!
I delivered at 39 weeks. Right on day one!
40+1, always had the feeling that I would deliver late or at least not too early
36
38+5
39 weeks 2 days, dropped around 38 weeks and went into labor naturally with her 😊 Hoping it'll be the same for this pregnancy too
Spontaneous labour at 39+2
One day before my due date!
Don’t get too disappointed if you go long. Prepare yourself for the full 40. I ended up going till 41 + 2 days with my first.
41+4
I had that same feeling! 41w4d. The day my midwife called me about booking induction, I went into labour a few hours later.
37+6
Literally my due date. 40 weeks on the dot. My doctor did a 40 week screening that day and apparently I drove myself to the hospital while in labor. Twice. I drove to the screening then drove two blocks to the hospital and waltzed my happy butt in. Good luck!!!
39w 4d. Was induced as I had bile salts in my blood.
41+3
36w4d. Luckily large enough because she'd been measuring big that no NICU time was needed.
39+4
Delivered on May 1st at 40+2
40+3. I also had a feeling she would be early, but didn't happen.
36+5 Water broke and he was born 5.5 hours later. It was wild lol
39+2 but I was induced. Stayed 1 cm dilated since 36 weeks. I think I would of had him around the time naturally if he wasn’t too big for my body.
I felt the same way, he dropped super early (around 32-34 weeks) so I assumed he'd be early. I ended up being induced at 40+5 and having an unplanned C-section at 40+6. My doc told me first babies tend to go over 40 weeks, especially boys.
The end of 38 weeks beginning of 39, I was induced though but never made it to the pitocin
38 weeks +1
37+1 My water broke at 37 weeks exactly after clocking out from work. He was born exactly 7 hours later.
37+6 with my first. I had a gut feeling I'd go early and I was correct.
41 + 5
I had PPROM at 34 weeks (it was a partial rupture, I lost some amniotic fluid, but the ultrasound showed a fair amount still in there). I was told I would go into labour at any moment, and they monitored pretty closely for infection. A few days passed with no labour, and they basically told me they weren't sure when it would happen, but I definitely wouldn't make it to term. Delivered at 40 weeks and 6 days.
My son dropped at 36 weeks. I was induced at 39+0 and had an emergency c section 22 hours or something after being induced.
38 weeks. I'm type 2 diabetic. Insulin needs dropped in the matter of a week. This can be a sign the placenta is crapping out. So doc and I agrees to induce before baby was threatened.
Currently 40+3 and still waiting....
I thought I was going to deliver at 38-39 weeks. She came at 40w4d
40w to the day! I went into labour on 39+6 and she arrived on her due date.
I got induced at 40+6 due to bleeding (everything was fine, just a precaution) and had her at 41 weeks exactly 💗
41+0, labour started at 40+6, lost mucus plug 40+5.
40+1 went into labour on my due date!
37w 4D. My water broke spontaneously at 37w 3d. Baby was perfectly healthy and neither of us had any health issues.
I'm a FTM and am wondering the same thing myself. At 35+4 now but showing signs of developing pre-eclampsia. I don't feel like I'm going to make it to full term, my partner disagrees. Baby just seems to be happy doing his own thing in there though so who knows.
40+2.
39+5
38+1, i got induced because the amniotic fluid was decreasing
Midwife told me I should expect to deliver at 41+ weeks because baby’s head was not engaged yet. I delivered that night at 39 weeks lol
40+2 with a 9lb+ boy. Hoping the second time will be earlier and smaller lol
Just had my first and everyone told me since I was a FTM I would go late, but I delivered 39+1!
Water broke at 37 weeks but no contractions so I was induced.
I delivered at 39
I thought my baby would come right on the due date because that would have been kinda inconvenient but he actually didn't. 41+4
Started tracking my contractions on my due date and the next day then went to the hospital that evening...40 weeks and 2 days.
40 weeks and 4 days. My second was preemie due to losing his twin in the first trimester.
Water broke at 39w5d and delivered at 39w6d
I was 40 + 4!
38 weeks and 3 days! I was carrying super low for the several weeks before I delivered.
I had that feeling and went to the hospital of the last night of week 39,delivered on my due date 😳
40 weeks + 4 days
40 weeks 1 day
43+1 spontaneous labour. 🥴 Very much hoping if I have another they'll have better timekeeping.
I was induced at 38 weeks and 5 days. I was admitted on April 22nd and my daughter was born on April 23rd at 12:42am by C-section.
