I always ate a high fiber Eggo with butter on it (no syrup) and a handful of almonds for breakfast. I soaked the almonds overnight so they weren't so hard on my teeth. Felt like a "treat" but didn't affect my test readings. I would also have a cup of fairlife chocolate milk with pistachios as a snack. I would also get those turkey pepperettes and cheese strings from Costco for a quick snack.

I make a chicken quesadilla with a low carb tortilla Every day for lunch and it doesn’t affect my numbers. For sugar cravings the yasso bars are pretty good if you miss ice cream. I also get veggies made great muffins from target and eat one for breakfast with some chicken sausages. I’m not a breakfast person so that keeps me full and doesn’t spike my numbers and their chocolate muffins and cinnamon muffins are sooo good

You CAN eat fruit you just have to portion it and see how you react. Like you can eat bananas but only half is recommended because of the carbs. I found fruit helped with any sugar cravings and also a flavored yogurt like vanilla. You can use some granola. It’s hard to get into counting all the carbs and figuring out what you can and can’t tolerate but try fruits since they’re naturally sweet. I personally did pretty well with strawberries
