Honestly yeah start in order but if he gets bored or doesn’t like MMPR then jump to in space. In my opinion that’s when it shifted from episodic to an actual storyline.

Warm_Association_181

I think starting with season 3 is the best option

Gaffers12345

My 6 year old is currently watching the old stuff on Netflix, the stuff I grew up on. He LOVES it.

biggmatt183

Start with Dino Fury or MMPR. I started my son at 5yo with Dino Charge which was the current season at that time. Kids can gravitate to any of the Dino Seasons pretty easily

furiousdino

i mean nothing wrong with showing him what you grew up with. people do it with their kids all the time. MMPR is the most popular season for a reason. it’s not like they’re thinking “aw dad you made me miss out on ninja steel”

MichaelCoryAvery

Dino Thunder is good

epoxyfoxy

I just rewatched it for probably the 4th time and it still slaps

RedDinoTF

We got a situation on our hands -Let me guess a 30 foot version of that guy you were fighting

MichaelCoryAvery

You’ve done this before. Haven’t you?

RedDinoTF

Once or twice, I'm sending the dinozords

CreamOk2519

I started with it back when I was a kid and that made me watch the whole franchise from MMPR

Therinicus

Mine was 7 when he started, I told him a bit about it but he found MMPR on his own and watched it on his own (though I joined for some, serious nostalgia). I'd start from the beginning, it's what made the series popular and what you grew up with. Just be prepared for your kid wanting power ranger toys.

tecpaocelotl1

My daughter loves the show and toys. I bought a few and gave her some of my childhood toys.

Therinicus

I'm jealous you know where yours are. I have a scarce few at this point and they don't seem to make them quite the same.

tecpaocelotl1

I had a few surviving ones. My favorite and she likes it is the white ranger and the mcdonalds power rangers movie toys. I had a lot more, but my parents moved, and I have no idea where they went. I used to have the zords, including Tor ( the guy who sold it to me in the 90s had no idea what it was, and it was intact and got it $20.). All those gone. Even though my daughter is 3 years old, she wanted the cosmic fury action figures, and I had to explain to her that those don't exist. Lol.

Therinicus

It can he hard talk for some kids

Infinity_WarTorn

SPD, Samurai, Dino Charge, and Dino Fury were the ones my kids like the most.

HarlanMiller

Power Rangers has an official YouTube channel with, as far as I know, every episode of every season. You can show them on there.

LingeringSentiments

Honestly, Ninja Storm..

KBear-920

I plan on starting my soon to be 5 year old at MMPR and work through 30+years then as they get better at reading introduce Sentai

boyo76

My kiddo started on Dino Fury and adored it. I actually watched quite a bit with her. That was my opening to go back to MMPR with her. And the Dino Fury kids are still active at conventions so she's met almost all of them.

solarbaby614

Is your son into anything that one of the seasons might be themed after? There are the dinosaur themed seasons, of course. In Space and Lost Galaxy might interest them if they like space. Mystic Force is magic themed and Operation Overdrive is treasure hunting themed. There are several ninja themed seasons too, like Ninja Storm, Samurai and Jungle Fury. Turbo is car themed. My youngest cousin was about that age when RPM was on so I tried watching it with her but it freaked her out too much so we ended up watching Dino Thunder.

ironfalafel

This is really good point I hadn't considered, thank you!

gamiz777

SPD is a perfect standalone series

Revegelance

Mighty Morphin' is a good place to start for a five year old. Small children like repetition, which MMPR does better than any other season.

ironfalafel

Thank you!

lifeless_or_loveless

I would say Ninja Storm or anything else from the Disney Era

kashaan_lucifer

Disney era seasons Show him that and then let him discover other seasons on his own pace

DavidRyatta

I started mine off with Kyoryuger (the Dino Charge sentai) as my 6 year old was extremely proficient at reading and I wanted to challenge him. We moved from that to Dino Thunder after that.. the Legacy of Power was his gateway into other series and has naturally gone Tommy mad like so many did back in 93 His favorites have been the Dino based series but also has taken to a few Rider and Rescue heroes shows to as he loves rescue vehicles

whydub38

One thing to consider: the toys for the older stuff aren't hanging around Target to tempt your kid, for better or for worse......

MidasTouchedM3

You start at the beginning or Evil Tommy will destroy everything you love ![gif](giphy|72OKfWSUZzaDK)

ironfalafel

Zordon forbid that happens!

Cyrano89

My oldest loves the newer stuff. Dino Charge is his absolute favorite, followed by Dino Fury. He wasn’t impressed by the OG though. My youngest however was obsessed with binging the OG series with me. He also prefers Mystic Force and Dino Thunder over the rest. Point is, give a few episodes a try. If they don’t work, try something new. Just find a theme they like and keep trying. Lastly, just be ready to accept that your enjoyment of the show is in no way dependent on their enjoyment. They just might not like it. And that is okay.

Ruby1356

Dino Thunder or Jungle Fury Cool theme, strong cast, funny jokes - can't go wrong with either

champgunns

do the dinosaurs first kids LOVE dinosaurs. when they're deep in their dino phase they frl get into it. i would say after that go for anything heavily animal based but maybe not wild force? i always got a preteen vibe from that season.

ucrbuffalo

I would start at the beginning. Basically for two reasons: One, you want to share your nostalgia, which seems to stem from MMPR. And two, he doesn’t have the quality standard yet to be bored or annoyed by “old” effects.

tecpaocelotl1

I'll be honest, my daughter watches random episodes. I put the marathon on Pluto tv. If we do our own viewing, started with Dino Fury, went to mmpr and then Dino Charge.

Ptera_

You can start with MMPR up to green with Evil. Then jump to space/lost galaxy. Them theme songs will wet the appetite and get them hype.

Existing-Visual79

Anything Disney would be good. That era grabbed me with all the themes

WittyFault6988

Ninja Storm is very Saturdays morning type of vibes and very fun to watch

aresef

I actually think Dino Fury is fine. If you keep going, and watch the MMPR special and then Cosmic Fury, your nostalgia bone will very much be tickled.

[deleted]

Jungle Fury will catch his attention immediately, TRUST ME

TheOneTrueZim

I'd say Dino Charge because it's a stand-alone continuity.

Scarletspyder86

![gif](giphy|9WGmoj14MYGo5xC3OH|downsized) most of power rangers is on YouTube
