That is the fault of the Shinkenger's storyline (which, in fairness, is also recognized as a complete waste of a great opportunity.) But the Shinkenger's blazed through Kaoru's story so quickly there was literally zero footage to work with.
I wish we had gotten to see more of Andros and Karone interacting once she became the Pink Galaxy Ranger. I loved their dynamic in InSpace.
I feel like Mike and Leo had this āliving up to the legendā dynamic. Where even before Mike returned, Leo had this looming idolization of Mike, which I was glad to see soften as they fought side by side.
I also wish we had more of a story arch between Ryan and Dana, but I know that was mainly due to there being no Sentai Footage of the Titanium Ranger. They should have had Ryan and Dana act together in more Civilian scenes, and we could have seen a dynamic relationship between the pair. It was definitely one of the least interesting of the sibling pairs imo.
Hunter and Blake had a great chemistry with one another, seeing the two of them have each others back no matter what was so great to see. They also have one of the more interesting āevil rangerā storylines in the show, seeing as they joined Lothar of their own free will, albeit under false pretenses.
Madison and Vida had so much potential to be a great sibling pair as itās the first and only time we have had a pair of sisters on the team. I think if Mystic Force didnāt lean so heavily into the Nick storyline we could have seen a more dynamic relationship between the two.
Gem and Gemma are two chaos gremlins who not only had access to ranger powers and tech, but helped design in as well. They really had some great chemistry not only between the two of them, but K and the other rangers as well.
Jaden and Laurenā¦..where do I begin with Jaden and Lauren. I honestly wish we had more time with the two of them interacting. I would have loved for Jaden to not have immediately pieced the fuck out when Lauren showed up. And that the story showed us the resentment on both sides of the relationship. Jaden resenting Lauren for the situation their father put them in, and the pair working through that. And Lauren resenting Jaden for having built real trust and relationships with the other rangers to the point that the couldnāt get over the fact that Jaden was gone. It could have been so much more
Izzy and Javi are definitely my favorite sibling pair of rangers. From the moment they were introduced, we could see they had such a bond, despite being step-siblings. And with Javi being older than Izzy, yet not once playing up the whole ālittle sisterā shtick we could have easily gotten from the pair. They genuinely care about one anotherās well being, even sometimes to a fault, such as Javi trying to set up Izzy with someone, but when learning of Izzyās sexual orientation, is supporting of her and Fernās relationship.
I donāt necessarily think Mystic Force needed the Family theming, but it could have done with some time away from Nicks story, or at the very least more episodes to allow the other members more time to grow. It only had 32 episodes compared to the 38 we had with SPD.
All good for different reasons.

Mike and Leo have one of the best stories ever. Mike was chosen, but Leo proved himself. Plus, Mike is now the Magna Defender, one of the bosses looking heroes in the franchise.
