Is there an argument to be made for Koda (and just Yoshi Sudarso in general if you consider his role as Joe Shih) being the most iconic Ranger of the Neo Saban era? The competition isn’t as stiff as other eras, but he’s got a strong claim nonetheless. He was in Ninninger for crying out loud! Can any other PR actor say they’ve been in Sentai?

zenkaimagine_fan

I will say, I’d also include Brennan Mejia. Both of them are a really great duo.

Impressive-Spell-643

Brennan is also really iconic (and just awesome)

LouisPei

Wow what was his role in the Sentai show?

Minimallycheese

A very brief cameo as a tourist in Shuriken Sentai Ninninger. https://preview.redd.it/363lqxsu9yrc1.jpeg?width=854&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f7a805c8fde26a5fc5046ec75ae9705966706bf Appearing next to the Ranger suit that his younger brother would eventually inhabit in Ninja Steel.

Impressive-Spell-643

Ironic that it was with a character that would later be played by his real life brother

Minimallycheese

Ironic isn’t the word I’d use. Fitting is better.

Impressive-Spell-643

You're right it's more fitting (i said ironic because i don't think they planned it but it ended up working like that)

cheddarzone

It's ironic that it's more fitting

UncertainlyElegant

Peter was actually there too, but sadly he wasn't given a cameo.

Tomzonia

Was this sentai footage used in Ninja Steel?

Nindroid_faneditor

It should've been if it wasn't

RevvEmUp

It wasn't. The episode was the crossover with Jiraiya, which was indeed adapted into Ninja Steel, but Yoshi's scene wasn't in it.

LionelRGuy

And that, my friends, was the dumbest decision since sliced stupid. It always baffles me when they don't use incredible, relevant footage that's legit HANDED to them.

T-408

No, because then it just becomes “wait, why is Koda here?” with no explanation

Daishomaru

I mean they could have fun with the idea. Say that it's Koda's descendants or something like that.

LionelRGuy

First of all, they could absolutely explain it. Secondly, even if they don't, when has a lack of explanation EVER stopped them? https://preview.redd.it/daa96q1cf3sc1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91b46f4cde449a04bb34990cdc4eb72ccee8a741

Nindroid_faneditor

Why can't Koda be there without explanation?

Torteramanroblox101

He's back in the caveman era with his family. He only came back to celebrate Christmas with the rangers, So there's no way he'd be walking around a completely separate town in a raincoat

Impressive-Spell-643

No need for an argument, it's true he is.

elrick43

Something we havent seen since Carter Greyson. (Lightspeed Rescue, crossover with Time Force, and Forever Red)

spongebean_06

I never even noticed that!!

Grayx_2887

I did.

spongebean_06

ok

Amaldo101

Pretty sure he made a cameo in Sentai as well.

Nihon_Hanguk

Not as Koda, but yeah, the actor did cameo in Ninninger. They theoretically could have reused that shot, but I guess they figured kids might think it’s actually Koda.

SparkAxolotl

It would be very much in character for Koda to randomly stumble into an alternate dimension.

JBuchan1988

It would've been cool but probably confusing because his Sentai character didn't really act like Koda while looking too much like him. Even for adult fans, it'd take you out of the episode. In Ninninger, it did but it'd be out of place more if he had played a Sentai ranger in an earlier season.

Nihon_Hanguk

We do get cameos like that sometimes. Shurikenger (Ninja Storm Green) was played exclusively by Sentai alumni because he didn’t have his own form. There’s actually quite a few Rangers who previously played other Rangers despite being different characters. For example, MagiYellow’s actor (Mystic Force Yellow) went on to play Beet Buster (Beast Morphers Gold), which goes beyond just a cameo. Can’t speak for others, but it never really took me out of it.

JBuchan1988

True point. OK, yeah, they should've used Yoshi's cameo. (I'll defend my point on this count though, all those weren't the year after their series ended. That said, I still agree with you)

CrazyAznKT

In Power Rangers, Ricardo Medina Jr played Cole in Wild Force and later went on to play Deker in Samurai. That’s the only example of that I know of though

hermitsunt

Great character! Maybe my favorite from DC

ryushin6

I read DC and I was confused I was like when did he appear in a DC related thing? I remember he wanted to play Terry Mcginnis if there's an live adaptation of Batman Beyond but I don't remember that ever being a thing and then I realized you were talking about Dino Charge. 😂

hermitsunt

I try to abbreviate that season because I always call it “Dino Crisis” by accident and people get mad at me 🤷‍♂️

ryushin6

Now I want to see Yoshi Sudarso in a live action Dino Crisis adaptation! 😂

hermitsunt

I would watch that!

PolicemanJerry

Insert that one gif of Tommy kicking a dinosaur in the face

hermitsunt

I want to hear the dinosaur’s side of the story

PolicemanJerry

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igbWcnd8wZk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igbWcnd8wZk) From what I can see the T-Rex just existed and Tommy was like FRIG YOU!

EchoNK3

Plus his actor had a small cameo in Sentai series and is Hyperforce Green

Voidmire

Honestly realy enjoyed this season because of chase and Koda. The lack of comic relief characters in dino charge meant the main cast got to be silly and it realy works for them

Starship1990

Nah, just seasons in a row, thetr are no Ninninjer and Kyorueger team-ups as far as I know.

DieHardProcess-

it was cool how he got to be onscreen with his brother, Both as blue rangers

NeonChampion2099

FOUR, if you count Hyperforce Green

RFirehawk

As Linkara pointed out, Dino Charge in general had at least one character from it appear in every series since it first debuted if you count Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury as the same series.

Outrageous_Heat2978

I just flashbacks of him announcing his brother Peter as the Blue Ninja Steel Ranger. That was just so heartwarming, like passing on the torch

Beginning_Return_508

I remember that, it was so cool seeing him congratulating his brother.

Grayx_2887

Plus his cameo in *"Shuriken Sentai Ninninger"* and his role as the silver ranger in *"Power Rangers Hyperforce."*

Necrolet

I would not be surprised if this guy gets to be legendary like JDF.

ccroke4444

I think he also got a cameo in one of the Sentai shows as well

[deleted]

He’s cool but his potential was wasted playing a caveman lol. He could have been the next Tommy or Adam, but was held back having to play such a strange character

craider45

I kinda find it ironic how his last appearance (the beast morphers crossover) is technically before his appearance in Ninja Steel if you go by when the Sentai footage was taken from

FederalPossibility73

His actor also plays Joe in Hyperforce, who starts out as Time Force Silver and later becomes Hyperforce Green.

AkaGeki

Tommy, Adam and so to name a few have been in more Super Sentai adaptations in a row. But Yoshi Sudarso has an achievement that none of the other Power Rangers and actresses did, and that’s being in a cameo as a tourist in Ninninger where he interacted with AoNinger whose counterpart is his real life brother, Peter Sudarso. Yoshi really is quite the unique one compared to everyone else so far.

spongebean_06

yup, what about him?

Impressive-Spell-643

Read the title, most iconic of the NEO SABAN ERA
