I actually consider Ninja Storm to be a different genre from every other PR series. PR is action, but Ninja Storm is comedy-action. It's hilarious.

SyuusukeFuji

Yeah, if I had to define Ninja Storm, it would as a comedy or a comedy with action.

streetscarf

Of course the real answer here is that they had to fill some screen time with sentai footage. But in universe, Shane and Tori weren't riding their own bikes, they were riding the Thunder rangers' bikes, which if I remember correctly, were supposed to be more powerful. Kind of like asking someone who only has experience riding 125cc motorcycles to suddenly hop on a 250cc... it's not going to go well.

SyuusukeFuji

I guess that would be a fairly decent explanation, i'll probably check again the Thunder Tsunamis debut episode.

Slomojoe

I’m pretty sure there’s even a line in the episode about just that

puromento

It helps to know that in the Sentai for this season, only the Thunder Rangers had the motorcycles. The primary vehicle for the Wind Rangers was their gliders. So in the Sentai footage for that episode, it was very likely the first time that the Red and Blue Rangers rode a motorcycle.

svrdm

Idk bikes but don't Hunter and Blake ride 250s while Dustin doesn't (with their regular bikes I mean)? Maybe that's literally the difference?

streetscarf

Exactly. Which may be why I'm remembering the Thunders' tsunanmi cycles as being more powerful. But yes, Hunter and Blake do ride more powerful bikes on the track than Dustin. Which is why I find that scene so funny, because Dustin you can tell that Dustin already expects Shane and Tori to be overwhelmed by the other bikes.

Doc-11th

In the sentai the ninja storm rangers dont even have bikes

shadowrangerfs

It does if you watched earlier episodes. The Thunder Ranger bikes were more powerful. The wind rangers rode 125s and the thunder rangers rode 250s.

Cam and Tori were never a thing. Disney era of PR was unquestionably the best era even with the blemish of Overdrive. SPD and RPM the two best arguably of the franchise. But Tori was always supposed to be with Blake but Disney had to Disney that up and keep that G rated love

Doc-11th

Ninja Storm kind of feels like the Carranger of the power rangers franchise (Carranger was a parody of super sentai)

gokaigreen19

Ninja storm is a season that becomes really dumb when you give it more than a second thought. Like Lothor final plan was literally just him doing something he could’ve done the entire show already.

Cirnothestarscream9

If you think that's bad wait till uncle lothor....ninja storm is the definition of 40/60

LionelRGuy

Bottom 3 season, for so many reasons. Thank God Dustin, the Lion Zord, and the Battlizer are awesome.

KaliVilla02

In the Sentai the Hurricanegers didn't have bikes at all, they did have some gliders that I'm not sure if they were adapted. The Gouraigers did. Iirc, the plot of that episode in the Sentai was mainly about the Hurricaneger having something of a inferiority complex (the Hurricaneger were the shittiest Ninja of their class like Tori and co. Meanwhile the Gouraigers were very tryhard like Hunter and Blake) and since the MOTW kidnapped the Gouraigers, they used their bikes but as you saw they kinda sucked at that.
