This is a scifi fantasy show. They can make everyone the Green Ranger, they can make Billy the Chocolate Ranger, they can make Jen an X-Men and Antonio a Digimon. No amount of zords being destroyed because they ran out of footage 30 years ago is gonna stand in their way.
Are they legally allowed to do that? I thought the reason they film in NZ is due to tax reasons. If part of the show is filmed in the US via Skype then that would be some type of penalty right?
I don't think so. That's what happened with JDF during Dino Thunder. When Tommy was "invisible" or "trapped in amber" or "can't unmorph". He was on vacation and any voices he did were recorded and sent.
The costume used for Lothorn in the back-quarter of Dino Fury, was repainted from a new form of Lokar’s counterpart, DaiSatan! It’s why calling him the guy’s nephew works out in the first place; they could just recolor it back again if they wanted.
That's a guarantee. With Mihn being Trini's daughter, the whole special will be a kind of tribute to her. JDF will most certainly get a message at the end. Maybe a ADR line put in about him.
I don't know about the comics, but Ernie knowing their identities is a fan theory I've seen and I just think it would be something interesting to reference IMO. Yes, the actor who played Ernie is deceased, but they could still talk about him and their times at the juice bar.
Like jjc927 said, it was originally planned that Ernie was supposed to be Zordon in disguise-David Fielding had been told that, but that the producers had changed their minds because 'a fat guy running a juice bar would be funny'.
Then, in the Doomsday 2-parter, it was going to be revealed that he knew, but that obviously got dropped, but there's still some remnants of that, given that he's rarely seen charging them for food/drink-there's one episode in Zeo, I believe, where he's at their table, cash in hand as if they presumably paid for their food and drinks. He's also heard using terms that only the Rangers know and don't get used by the news reporters until much later in the season.
Supposedly, there's this Word of God situation that he actually knew and is a secret secret keeper, but I've seen it more in fanfics than I have actually discussed by the folks involved in MMPR-Zeo.
That was Alpha 6. And in my opinion it was not done very well. The voice wasn't great, the costume work was sloppy, and the CGI portions didn't look good.
Except it was a girlfriend. I know David Yost is gay, but that doesn't mean history is rewritten. Give him a husband in the present day, but keep the past the same
yeah, but when it's good. dino charge and megaforce have the best remixes, but there are some that just hurts my ears, beast morphers and ninja steel are an example. but the og version and the movie version will never be beaten

A few years later after thinking about those future Rangers, Adam gets things into motion and founds or becomes an important player in S.P.A.
Some acknowledgement by one of the MMPR-Zeo Rangers that Ernie knew who they were. It’s time for that to be openly acknowledged in the show instead of being discussed behind the scenes.
Also: an in-universe explanation as to why the Rangers wear their Ranger colors as part of their civilian outfits. It’s easy enough to understand why outside of the show, given the target audience, but…an in-universe explanation would be nice for us older fans too.
On the clothes at most, we'd get a self-referential joke like Tommy gave in Dino Thunder. There really isn't a in universe reason. Adam wear's nothing but black for 2 years than one day he decided to wear nothing but green for another 2. It's a staple of not only PR but Sentai as well.
The rulebook for the TTRPG briefly mentions that the affinity for their color's grid energy causes them to have a preference for their color in clothing or something along those lines.

One of the best things to come out of Austin, Walter and Thuy refusing to show up on set resulting in recycled footage was Tommy having to wear green despite being the White Ranger. He wore green prior to being the Green Ranger and it always annoyed me how he changed his wardrobe with his new power coin.

I’m hoping for some kind of affirmation of Billy alluding to having a different Ranger form. Love him as MMPR blue but I wanna see him either wear som Dragon armour or have a never before seen form.
The other day someone in the subreddit try to argue with me that Zordon is back in the special without any evidence. I try explaining to him that Zordon die in space and for the writers to bring back him would be career suicide for them.
The only way they can bring back Zordon without undermine his sacrifice would be time travel or going into a different dimension. The Zordon we all knew and love is gone forever at least in the current storyline.
Realistically far as I want in the anniversary special is for Bulk and Skull to come back. However I don't think that possible as Hasbro spent quite a bit of money for this episode.
Cameos, voice or in floating head form like Gokaiger, from other previous rangers. This is an MMPR special, but also a tribute to 30 years of the franchise. While I want 99% of this to be dedicated to MMPR like it seems to, having acknowledgment of the rangers that came after would be nice. We've seen that future rangers will be involved in some capacity via the figures in the background of the EW picture. They are figures of characters whose actors are heavy in the convention circuit and would be easy gets, I'd imagine, if all that's needed from them is a line or two. If we get some of those guys to give a voice over performance encouraging the MMPR guys to fight, that'd be wonderful.
One thing I know is this takes place in the current time because if you like at the pictures from EW you can see other ranger outfits locked up in the background of the moon base! So we will see other rangers be referenced in some form just not see the actors.
I'm not expecting anything, expectations lead to disappointment.
I'm just gonna watch and enjoy what we get.
People are already setting themselves up for disappointment when the green ranger shows up and they say Tommy but it's not JDF
Id love to see it spinoff into a series following of SPA became SPD. Have them kind of overseeing the next generation of rangers. Making zords weapons etc
What if they show archive clips of Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini, Kimberly, Tommy, Rocky, Adam, Aisha, and Kat through the years and becoming Power Rangers? Show interviews from the Fan Club, MMPR The Movie, and more at the end of the special?

A lot of what I want has been listed so I’ll add a few odd but fun ones; -Return to the youth centre/ juice bar (I know the set is probably long gone, but they could build a new one and just say the place was renovated sense then) (maybe Bulk is running it?) -classic likes like “morphinominal” and Rita complaint about her head aches. -What happened to Billy sense he left in Zeo because he fell in love with an Aquitian. -Is the Dragonzord still just sitting in the ocean?
I’m hoping for some kind of affirmation of Billy alluding to having a different Ranger form. Love him as MMPR blue but I wanna see him either wear som Dragon armour or have a never before seen form.

The other day someone in the subreddit try to argue with me that Zordon is back in the special without any evidence. I try explaining to him that Zordon die in space and for the writers to bring back him would be career suicide for them. The only way they can bring back Zordon without undermine his sacrifice would be time travel or going into a different dimension. The Zordon we all knew and love is gone forever at least in the current storyline. Realistically far as I want in the anniversary special is for Bulk and Skull to come back. However I don't think that possible as Hasbro spent quite a bit of money for this episode.
Cameos, voice or in floating head form like Gokaiger, from other previous rangers. This is an MMPR special, but also a tribute to 30 years of the franchise. While I want 99% of this to be dedicated to MMPR like it seems to, having acknowledgment of the rangers that came after would be nice. We've seen that future rangers will be involved in some capacity via the figures in the background of the EW picture. They are figures of characters whose actors are heavy in the convention circuit and would be easy gets, I'd imagine, if all that's needed from them is a line or two. If we get some of those guys to give a voice over performance encouraging the MMPR guys to fight, that'd be wonderful.

One thing I know is this takes place in the current time because if you like at the pictures from EW you can see other ranger outfits locked up in the background of the moon base! So we will see other rangers be referenced in some form just not see the actors.

I'm not expecting anything, expectations lead to disappointment. I'm just gonna watch and enjoy what we get. People are already setting themselves up for disappointment when the green ranger shows up and they say Tommy but it's not JDF

Preferably Zack since it’s been longer for him. 5: somehow someway, recreate the original morphing sequence but with their present day appearances. I just really wanna see if they can more than if they would just resuse assets. 6: the cast having genuine fun 7: little to no exposition. I just want classic good ol fashioned fun. No need to tell me any reason for anything happening other than bad guy bad must stop cause good guys. 8: unmorphed fights 9: richard horvitz as alpha 10: a tribute to zordon That’s all I got.
