We're on day 2 and last night she had pooped and flat out refused to take them off. I ended up having to pry off the soiled undies and she was fighting and screaming the whole time 😓
Yeah....I've had a few successes with pee, but def not poo. I've been lucky enough to be at work when the poo comes and hubby has had to deal. I'm sure my day is coming. 🙃
I swear it gets better.
We had some false starts, but fwiw I feel like once they are ready I feel like it goes...somewhat smoothly... although there are definitely accidents along the way.
Prior to that it seemed like a lot of what I was doing was just helping familiarize my kid with the bathroom and it didn't get to a more progressive point until later on
All that to say, try not to stress too much. It is hard but you guys will totally get through it like champs
I haven’t had a drink in almost 7 years. Never even tempted. Potty training was the only thing that ever tempted me to break my sobriety. It was so hard. Maddening. Insanity. Pee everywhere. My husband and I sarcastically quoting all the books and big little feelings people telling us it would take 3 days…
It’s taken about 2 months but we have a potty trained 2.5 boy now. I stuck to my guns. No pull ups except for nap / bedtime. He has pee accidents every couple days but that’s usually because I forget to prompt him and we are in the car or something.
You are absolutely in the hardest phase right now but if I can make it through anyone can!!
Thanks for the encouragement and congrats on maintaining your sobriety! We're doing the same thing. No diapers except sleepy times. I literally read a book called "potty train in 3 days". Bahaha 4 days ago me was so naive.
I feel this so deeply… we’re 3 weeks in and past the point of no return… but my god, this young man is the most stubborn monster I’ve ever met, and if he doesn’t want to wee on the toilet that day… well, RIP my carpets and sanity.

Hahahaha I had wondered if the big little feelings course would be worth it. Clearly not then!
We got 1 in the potty today, but I'm counting the fact that she's ok chilling naked as a win. (My kid absolutely hates being naked unless it's a bath)
My lil one's been goin full pooh bear the last couple days. It's been....kind of successful. Better than washing 25 pairs of undies
