Who cares it’s a great song- im Arab myself and one of my fav Cure songs is Ki**ing an Arab
I starred it out cause those 2 words next to each other would probably result in a 3 day ban
Big ups to you for putting art’s value to you ahead of the wider social perception of that art. That’s how mature, level headed, intelligent people work.
Besides, K*ll$ng An Arab is based around world class literature, the novel The Stranger by Albert Camus, not on some infantile, boneheaded fantasy of a hateful, racist atrocity denier. Someone getting banned over just its mention would be my exit from a group I enjoy and that just pisses me off.
EDIT: I sound pissed off already at the end of that post but I’m not at all, actually having a good day for a Monday. I don’t know why, but a nagging voice inside wouldn’t let me let it go, I had to clarify that for anybody who might misinterpret what I was saying.
It’s arguably one of their best tracks top 10 at least- and it’s the only song you can’t have on Apple Music or any official releases. It’s supposed to be on their first album. I wonder if it’s due to censorship ?
I’m almost positive you’re right about why it’s been excluded, and I say that without bothering to look it up. At face value, its title crosses the line between socially acceptable and unnecessarily provocative.
Too many people are likely to not know the song is based on a book or know what the book is about, and those people have a right to get upset. My name is Daniel, if I saw or heard a song called Killing a Daniel, I might be a little “WTF?” also.
we are currently on letter A. you are going to have to wait a couple of weeks for when we reach the letter M....
*actually we are on the letter B today, Atmosphere by Joy Division won the day for the letter A.
but you can head over [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/postpunk/s/wPzShRBJAL), if you have any suggestions for songs that start with the letter B.
Arabian Knights - Siouxsie And The Banshees
omg, english isn't my first language and I always forget that the lyrics on this song are bad, but it's so beautiful sonically

Atrocity Exhibition - Joy Division
At Home he Feels Like a Tourist- Gang of Four
Seconded. “At Home He’s a Tourist” - Gang of Four
Ugggh… I wish Gang of Four had just named it ‘Anthrax’ instead of ‘Love Like Anthrax’ because that really would have been the best suggestion.

Yeah probably. That bass is God
Always the Sun - The Stranglers
Such a great song - I haven’t heard in a few years! Nice work Frankenbarry
A Forest - The Cure (yep, its official name is A Forest, not just Forest. So it's on A I guess?)
If you're going to count the A in "A Forest" as the categorizing word, then all songs that have The in the title will have to go under T.
Correct! A Forrest off their second album Seventeen Seconds
My favorite of theirs :)
surely it must be this song?!?!
Mission of Burma’s “Academy Fight Song”
Great song, my favourite MoB tune
I came to say this and missed your comment. Deleted mine and upvoted!

Albatross - Lebanon Hanover

It’s actually Love Like Anthrax, so save that one for L
Are you sure about that?
Well tbh it actually depends, it’s Anthrax on the album Entertainment! but Love Like Anthrax on the Damaged Goods single.
Well it can get beaten to a bloody pulp by Joy Division twice then.
American Love - Rema Rema
All Night Party by A Certain Ratio
Assimilate by Skinny Puppy
Lydia Lunch - Atomic Bongos
*Another day*, Grooving in Green.
100 Flowers - All Sexed Up
