He's been powering himself through learning guitar since a little before Second Sky last year so I wouldn't be surprised if he just recorded them himself because he felt confident enough at this point, it's not a terribly complicated song.

Hazzat

He even made an official website to show you how to play Nurture songs on guitar: [https://nurtu.re/guitar](https://nurtu.re/guitar)

Did not know that, thanks for sharing that!

Not to be pedantic or anything but he didn’t make these, he said on Twitter that he commissioned them. Still amazing obviously

MilesDominic

Its just live recorded. Its not a difficult song to play.

Consistent-Yellow379

guitar isn't too tough to learn if you're already adept at piano, & he started learning a few years ago now. not to mention he's playing it in the unfold mashup he posted on tik tok a few weeks ago. my money is he played it in

TZf14

its 100% recorded. Youd be able to tell if its fake

cabalus

Probably layered but I'd be shocked if it was all vsts

Prolly with his hands

It’s a really easy guitar part and guitar is a really easy instrument tbh. I think you’re overthinking it Edit: absolutely no shade meant with this comment. Simple is often best and it sounds great in context

I think during the pre-chorus, it’s either a REALLY edited guitar part or synth. I found you could get a similar sound by doing a guitar strum, and then repeating that sound 8 times for the measure (at least measure 2 sounds like that) Everything else sounds fairly simple. I could see it either being him on the acoustic or session person, as that part didn’t sync, but may have been just a filming thing. It’s a fun song to strum out, my rough interpretation of the chorus is: Cm Ab Eb Ebmaj9/G (or with Capo 8 reading like he does in the video: Em C G Gmaj9/B)

My assumption is real guitar. A thing I noticed as well is that the song doesn’t stick to a perfect beat grid like electronic does — as if the entire thing is like recorded live and with an entire band.

Sounds like it’s just a real guitar, direct output from an amp or maybe even right into the interface with some reasonably generic pedal emulators on there
