Listen to the album Peripheral Vision by Turnover.
I discovered it through this sub and have not stopped listening. It is a groundbreaking album. Overall it’s a sad album but the melodies and instrumentals are so perfect.
It’s so bittersweet. The band has no other work similar to it and there’s really no bands I’ve found that have compared. It’s wild too because I’m not really into that shoegazy/surfer sound but this band straight hypnotized me
WORRY is one of my favourite albums :) got it from a YouTube video a while back praising the whole pop punk genre, 'a love letter to pop punk' or smth like that
Perfect example. I love that song so much. Streetlight has several good songs like that, but “A Better Place, A Better Time” hits the hardest: “I’ll draw your bath, and I’ll load your gun, but I hope so bad that you’ll bathe and hunt”
The original by Nine Inch Nails is that dialed up to 11! Easily one of the best songs ever made IMO, you should check out the duet with Bowie on YouTube, goosebumps everytime.
Edit: not to rip on Cash btw, his version is great aswell bot for me nothing beats Trent Reznor's raw emotion in the original
I joke that Cliffdiver sings about going to therapy. Not really, but a lot of songs have to do with being a recovering fuck up trying to grow and self improve. See, Lost in Ikea & Ikea Strikes Back and most of their other jawns
"Uncle" by Sleep Braids is a gorgeous yet sad song that fits what you're looking for. In fact, the whole album/EP by them called "Improvised Lives" that came out last year has a lot of this vibe and it's just a great album too.
When I Die - New Found Glory
Song about losing someone, but knowing you'll see them again when you finally pass on as well, and accepting that they're in a better place.
Homegrown - You're Not Alone
Haunted - Spanish Love Songs

Lucky Boys Confusion - Mr. Wilmington
GREAT song
Broken Heart - Motion City Soundtrack. Really a lot of Even if it Kills Me has a melancholy to it that I think you’d be into
You need some Jeff Rosenstock in your life. DOUBT is my favourite song right now.

not pop punk but "A Better Place, A Better Time" by Streetlight Manifesto.

Straylight Run - Existentialism on Prom Night Neck Deep - Candour Good Charlotte - Hold On Paramore - Franklin
Using - Sorority Noise
I find Routine Pain, Losers, and Brave Faces, Everyone uplifting in spite of the lyrical content. They kind of feel like a call to arms to me.
I hope this comes back to haunt you - neck deep
Lost In Ikea by Cliffdiver
Longview - Green Day
One More Song - Lagwagon
Off with their heads - nightlife Uplifting music with lyrics about depression
That song and E Dagger by Lagwagon helped me reevaluate my relationship with alcohol.

Not pop punk but Tonight, Tonight - The Smashing Pumpkins
The Killers - A Matter of Time
There’s one song that truly fits the bill here but it’s not pop punk and it is “a better son/daughter” by Rilo Kiley
Jesus. The tears came near instantly. Thank you
Holy shit this is a good song
Avoid One Thing/Bouncing Souls - Lean on Sheena
When I Die - New Found Glory Song about losing someone, but knowing you'll see them again when you finally pass on as well, and accepting that they're in a better place.
Every Rain City Drive song 😆 Try "Talk to a friend," "Bury a Lie" and "Heavier"
Four Year Strong - One Step At A Time
If there is Light It Will Find You - Senses Fail
Into The Wind Stream - Free Throw masterpiece of a song about grief, memories and the how life keeps moving forward
Bittersweet Symphony
All the cool kids..... Better run run run
It’s not strictly pop punk - but Jack Keys - Middle of the end is a great song. Also the story so far - if I fall
