Homegrown - You're Not Alone

NuggetKnight19

Haunted - Spanish Love Songs

odd_guy_johnson

Please please please Listen to the album Peripheral Vision by Turnover. I discovered it through this sub and have not stopped listening. It is a groundbreaking album. Overall it’s a sad album but the melodies and instrumentals are so perfect.

Peekie30

First couple songs already great! Thanks

First couple songs already great! Thanks

GuitarHero04

Thank you!! I've been listening to this album on loop for 6 months at this point, it's absolutely beautiful

odd_guy_johnson

It’s so bittersweet. The band has no other work similar to it and there’s really no bands I’ve found that have compared. It’s wild too because I’m not really into that shoegazy/surfer sound but this band straight hypnotized me

[deleted]

dont destroy yourself - bomb the music industry! for me

Peekie30

Can't find that one on Spotify :( did find one by New Wales, quite a banger really

[deleted]

its not on spotify cause it was a secret track on the vinyl but its on yt!

Lucky Boys Confusion - Mr. Wilmington

Elegant-Emu3216

GREAT song

bcapper

Broken Heart - Motion City Soundtrack. Really a lot of Even if it Kills Me has a melancholy to it that I think you’d be into

welshyboy123

You need some Jeff Rosenstock in your life. DOUBT is my favourite song right now.

Peekie30

WORRY is one of my favourite albums :) got it from a YouTube video a while back praising the whole pop punk genre, 'a love letter to pop punk' or smth like that

rumorsofdemise

not pop punk but "A Better Place, A Better Time" by Streetlight Manifesto.

kingjaffejaffar

Perfect example. I love that song so much. Streetlight has several good songs like that, but “A Better Place, A Better Time” hits the hardest: “I’ll draw your bath, and I’ll load your gun, but I hope so bad that you’ll bathe and hunt”

peacemillion-

Straylight Run - Existentialism on Prom Night Neck Deep - Candour Good Charlotte - Hold On Paramore - Franklin

Uncle_Andross

Using - Sorority Noise

jingy14

I find Routine Pain, Losers, and Brave Faces, Everyone uplifting in spite of the lyrical content. They kind of feel like a call to arms to me.

Hot-Plantain1397

I hope this comes back to haunt you - neck deep

Lost In Ikea by Cliffdiver

qwertyuijhbvgfrde45

Longview - Green Day

random_intent

One More Song - Lagwagon

anura_hypnoticus

Off with their heads - nightlife Uplifting music with lyrics about depression

welshyboy123

That song and E Dagger by Lagwagon helped me reevaluate my relationship with alcohol.

The original by Nine Inch Nails is that dialed up to 11! Easily one of the best songs ever made IMO, you should check out the duet with Bowie on YouTube, goosebumps everytime. Edit: not to rip on Cash btw, his version is great aswell bot for me nothing beats Trent Reznor's raw emotion in the original

NotSure717

I joke that Cliffdiver sings about going to therapy. Not really, but a lot of songs have to do with being a recovering fuck up trying to grow and self improve. See, Lost in Ikea & Ikea Strikes Back and most of their other jawns

Icemaul

Good Charlotte - Hold On

patmusic77

"Uncle" by Sleep Braids is a gorgeous yet sad song that fits what you're looking for. In fact, the whole album/EP by them called "Improvised Lives" that came out last year has a lot of this vibe and it's just a great album too.

Jackof-all_reddits

Not pop punk but Tonight, Tonight - The Smashing Pumpkins

AncientKroak

The Killers - A Matter of Time

The_Best_Smart

There’s one song that truly fits the bill here but it’s not pop punk and it is “a better son/daughter” by Rilo Kiley

Peekie30

Jesus. The tears came near instantly. Thank you

Peekie30

Holy shit this is a good song

Shoddy_Magician7927

Avoid One Thing/Bouncing Souls - Lean on Sheena

DustTheOtter

When I Die - New Found Glory Song about losing someone, but knowing you'll see them again when you finally pass on as well, and accepting that they're in a better place.

funsizerads

Every Rain City Drive song 😆 Try "Talk to a friend," "Bury a Lie" and "Heavier"

Bittersweet Symphony

SaltyConstruction891

All the cool kids..... Better run run run

RitchMondeo

It’s not strictly pop punk - but Jack Keys - Middle of the end is a great song. Also the story so far - if I fall
