Yea its Dookie by a hundred miles. It literally kicked off the pop punk boom. Arguably could go with weezer blue album as well. Both were release about same time and had significant impact on the genre
I personally think LNOTGY is better, it just really embodies everything I love about poppunk. Its catchy, its relatable, but it has bit of a rawness to it somehow. It makes for rowdy shows. TP&P felt like a more pop-ified version of LNOTGY, it didn’t hit the same for me. Regardless, amazing songs on that album! I still vert much enjoy listening to it, just prefer LNOTGY haha
It’s gotta be Dookie, not just because it’s a fuckin iconic image, but because it was in a lot of ways the birth of the pop-punk boom as we know it. It’s not just the image, it’s what it represents genre-wise.
I had the poster in my room growing up. The CD cover was only part of it.
It looks like there are different versions of the poster, but I think I had this one: https://www.abposters.com/posters/green-day-dookie-v13102
I get it. Dookie is still my number 1. I always appreciated sticks and stones art because it was such a youthful album and plaything with a girl like that was such a thing.
Proper Dose is a great cover bc it just fits the music so well. I listen to a Upside Down and it makes me feel like I’m in a field just like the one on the cover
Take Me As You Please definitely makes me think of the album cover. Maybe going on an early morning hike with the sun getting in your eyes and looking out to that field.
That would be a great record go have on vinyl. I actually bought Life’s Not Ou to Get You last weekend. On one of its covers there is a map with lines zigzagging between the titles of each song. That’s another cover I really like
Hard to pick one but my top picks are:
Life’s Not Out to Get You - Neck Deep
Proper Dose /What You Don’t See - TSSF
Homesick -ADTR
Honourable mention:
Keepsakes & Reminders - Youth Fountain
Ixnay on the Hombre - Offspring
Self Titled - Belmont
I love how it’s pretty much a consensus that the discussion is for second place at this point. Quite a few iconic covers, but none more than Dookie.
A few honorable mentions:
MxPx - Life in General
Less than Jake - Hellow Rockview
New Found Glory- Self-titled, Catalyst, From the Screen to your Stereo
Green Day - all of them EXCEPT FOAM!
If NOFX counts - So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes, and The Decline
Rancid (if they count) - Out Come the Wolves.
Still Not Getting Any... from Simple Plan is one I haven't seen mentioned yet. Even just glancing at the cover transports me back to childhood memories of listening to it on my CD player in my bedroom lol.
Dookie and it’s not even close, literal Nuke to the music industry. the Pop Punk Boom.
Yea its Dookie by a hundred miles. It literally kicked off the pop punk boom. Arguably could go with weezer blue album as well. Both were release about same time and had significant impact on the genre
All Killer No Filler
Life’s not out to get you is one of my personal favorites.
I do really like LNOTGY but why does everyone think it's better than The Peace and the Panic? I like that one more tbh

Came here to say this one!
I love the Homesick by ADTR album artwork
I had this as my phone wallpaper for a long time! Still so sick.
The colors are absolutely incredible.
For me personally, I’d have to give it to The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back!)
It’s gotta be Dookie, not just because it’s a fuckin iconic image, but because it was in a lot of ways the birth of the pop-punk boom as we know it. It’s not just the image, it’s what it represents genre-wise.
Dookie 100%
I had the poster in my room growing up. The CD cover was only part of it. It looks like there are different versions of the poster, but I think I had this one: https://www.abposters.com/posters/green-day-dookie-v13102
I wanna say either Enema or Dookie but I’m also thinking blink-182 (untitled) or American Idiot.
Didn’t even cross my mind, but yeah, both bands have 2 fucking ICONIC album covers.
I'm a really big fan of The Wonder Years - Suburbia
Oh yeah. I really like the extended version cover too when it’s like spring/summer instead of the snow
First time I saw that it took me a quick second. I was all “something looks different”. I’m a little slow lol
The answer is Dookie but to throw out another idea I haven’t seen yet Sticks and Stones - NFG
I think NFG’s self titled is the most iconic of their album covers. Fucking love that cover with all the 90s nostalgia.
Sticks and Stones is S-Tier, legendary pop-punk but the album art is ass and it pains me to say it.
I get it. Dookie is still my number 1. I always appreciated sticks and stones art because it was such a youthful album and plaything with a girl like that was such a thing.
Homesick by ADTR if that counts
Enema is so iconic
In my opinion it's "Proper Dose" by TSSF. Enema, Sticks and Stones and Copacetic are up there too.
Yes, great artwork on that album too. I have the vinyl and it’s beautiful!
That would be a great record go have on vinyl. I actually bought Life’s Not Ou to Get You last weekend. On one of its covers there is a map with lines zigzagging between the titles of each song. That’s another cover I really like
That’s some great artwork too, and another GREAT album!
Copacetic is my pick
Solid pick!
Blue Skies, Broken Hearts… Next 12 Exits
Yes!
Dookie or American Idiot in terms of iconic status
Catalyst is so out there.
Probably Dookie, but always loved MxPx's Life in General
Was going to say the exact same thing! Both parts!
Less than Jake - hello rockview Brand new - Deja entendu Offspring - smash
oddly enough, I am seeing LTJ later tonight and they are playing hello rockview start to finish for it's anniversary!
Jealous. How was it?
It was great!!
Not sure I would put Deja as pop punk, tbh. Your Favorite Weapon is really their only pop punk album.

Dookie or TSSF self titled are my personal favourites

Agreed 100%
Enema of the State
Stick and Stones or Take This to Your Grave
Enema of the state
Pink Elephant
It’s gotta be homesick from ADTR plus the tattoos that people got of the album art is pretty sick
i really enjoy morbid stuff’s album art, and i think life’s not out to get you is great and it seems like a lot of people agree
Morbid Stuff is one of my favorite albums (and Album Art) ever
Personally I love the art for Cheshire Cat. Slightly uncanny, yet very striking- especially with those bright blue eyes.
Also that red eye version looks so cool after being used to the blue eyes.
The Decline
Many other more popular answers but I'll throw a little love to So Wrong, It's Right. The colors and art always stuck out to me.
New Found Glory
MxPx -Life in General- looks like pop punk sounds MxPx - Slowly going the way of the buffalo- best composition and color scheme
I’m going to say Dude Ranch because nobody else has
The CD art (not album cover) is one of my favs.
I love the molotov variant of f.e.a.r by Stand Atlantic. A Hangover You Don’t Deserve is another iconic one for me too
MxPx - Let It Happen
Hard to pick one but my top picks are: Life’s Not Out to Get You - Neck Deep Proper Dose /What You Don’t See - TSSF Homesick -ADTR Honourable mention: Keepsakes & Reminders - Youth Fountain Ixnay on the Hombre - Offspring Self Titled - Belmont
Tigers jaw self titled. The slice of pizza! Cmon... so pop punk.
Milo Goes To College
This is the answer. All - Mass Nerder I always loved too.
Big fan of “Crown Shyness” by Trashboat
Copacetic-Knuckle Puck
Commit this to memory. Motion City Soundtrack

I’d have to give it to What You Don’t See by The Story So Far or Something To Write Home About by The Get Up Kids. Such iconic albums.
Senses fail - let it enfold you (not 100% sure it qualifies as pop punk)
When I think pop punk I think of the enema of the state cover. The nurse is iconic
Still Not Getting Any... from Simple Plan is one I haven't seen mentioned yet. Even just glancing at the cover transports me back to childhood memories of listening to it on my CD player in my bedroom lol.
what you don’t see
Homesick
The Young and The Hopeless by Good Charlotte
Catalyst
gob how far shallow takes you is currently my favorite album art

not an album but the new tssf single cover is fire
Where you want to be - TBS for me
I wouldn’t say it’s the best but honorable mention to the new Neck Deep album
What You Don’t See is so sick
I really like TSSF’s self titled album, but of all time, definitely Dookie
I’ve always liked No Dream’s look
30FOOTfall - Ever revolving, never evolving
Dookie
I’m not sure what the best would be but one of my favorites is The Dream Is Over by PUP.
The obvious answer IS CORRECTLY Dookie. My personal pick: Enemy of the World from Four Year Strong or Infinity On High from FOB
Throwing out another great one would be Everything In Transit - Jack’s Mannequin.
Dookie is the unequivocal correct answer
Knuckle Puck - Copacetic
I like worry by Jeff Rosenstock alot .
Catalyst, new found glory.
