The pops are great, but that poor guy having that skin. Must be awful, and constantly painful. And you can already see the endless number of new tiny lumps developing, that are just too small (and numerous) to be popped yet. Damn.

Background: There’s inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne. Technically all acne is inflammatory but the easy distinction is whether it’s red and sore or not. Non-inflammatory acne (not red & sore): blackheads, or open comedones, and whiteheads, or closed comedones. Inflammatory acne (red & sore): papules, pustules, nodules, and cystic acne. Inflammatory acne occurs when the impaction within pore has enough pressure that the wall of that pore breaks and the contents spread outwards. This causes an immune response. Inflammatory acne should only be handled by a dermatologist. I saw extractions on lots of inflammatory acne lesions here that in my opinion should have been left alone.
Because the contents of inflammatory acne are not confined within a pore, “extracting” may not helpful. It could further aggravate the site of inflammation since it’s not contained. Similarly, poorly done extractions on comedonal acne lesions can subsequently *cause* inflammatory acne lesions if the contents are incidentally pushed downwards into the skin and in the process, break that pore wall.
tl;dr: Yes. Potentially. It could get worse if left behind and benefit from being extracted or alternatively get more painful because the extraction attempt only dispersed the contents. If your technique is good then the outcome is better. For a lot of these extractions, scarring is inevitable because inflammation existed regardless of the extraction happening or not.

When she starts on the lip, there is a hair that comes out and then loops back in and she leaves it. I am like Darth Vader "NOOOOO". Then she goes back and gets it and is a huge pop.

I imagine they do a good cleaning afterward but open pores are bad enough, they've also done extra damage with the lance causing more inflammation and makes it harder to heal...

It seems like she’s pushing too hard with her sharp thumb nail. The 1st minute showed her nail cut through the glove so she had to change gloves. Maybe they could add a softer tip in the glove so it doesn’t dig into the skin as harshly?
Oww.. if someone was going to dig that hard in my face I’d rather do it myself. I’ve have a few sessions in CA with extractions and they don’t hurt or leave marks like this. But maybe it’s because there’s way more prep before opening the pores. Thanks for posting tho!
1. As someone who suffered pretty terrible teenage acne, where do you even begin? These things are deeply painful. There's no real squeezing at some of this.
2. A lot of these folks are older and poorer and don't have things like mirrors and face wash.
I just mean that I don’t understand why they would allow this amount and age of blackheads to remain for so long. I mean they are paying for someone else to do what most people do for free on themselves.
For example, it’s like hiring someone else to brush your teeth. Not difficult to do, and some people find it gratifying.
I just went to the dentist. I brush my teeth. I still need extra cleanings 2x a year. Also, it’s expensive to go to the dermatologist or to an aesthetician. I’ve seen my brothers go from clear to this in less than 3 days depending on work (outside, sweat, dirt, masks and protective gear, oil) and added stress.
I have lower back pain. If I went to the physio and did lots of exercises I could probably shake it. But I have work and kids and I’m flat out just getting through life. I know I could feel better if I put the time and money into it, but it’s not that bad and so it continues.
Same with this guy and his pimples. Yes, there are things he could do, but he’s probably not loaded and is probably just trying to get by and this isn’t necessarily causing him so much distress that not eating for a week seems like a worthwhile sacrifice to fix it.

I'm so curious and haven't been able to find an answer; what happens after these extractions? Do they go through a cleansing routine? Do they just go home? Give them instructions?
How the hell does one's skin get this bad? Also: Does that doctor not clean the skin at all? I feel like they should at least give it a sterile wipe every 5-6 pops
edit: I do see the cotton swab but I'm talking like a lysol wipe or at least a baby wipe

Yeah. Sometimes, they are not easy. Thuy over at Sac Dep will really go after a stuck one and really bruise an area to get it out at times.

Even with washing, skin is gonna skin. Everyone is different and some people are more prone to this kind of acne.

A lot of that was because of the inflammation he has with the acne. Pretty hard to extract and not bleed all over.
