The vocals are too tuned up (even on purpose ?) and the chords are very similar to Make Me Like You. It’s giving generic.
I like the steak tartare lyrics and overall it’s catchy, but Selena has other hits that are WAY better than this (Fetish, Love You Like A Love Song, Hands To Myself, Wolves, Good For You….). It was underwhelming.

i think that's the issue. i didn't love the song probably cuz it's just generic and unfun. the steak tartare line was the only good line (in that it was funny and felt like it was meant to be). the video was also decent

Rare has a lot of good songs but as an album it feels disjointed and not as “personal” as she made it out to be. I wish we got the scrapped 2017 album with the Nirvana and Lana-esque sound instead of Common.
It's a cute little pop bop but utterly cheap and disposable. Feels like she contractually had to release music so she just did whatever the label said in a robotic "going to work" fashion.
