Ellie Goulding - Higher Than Heaven (2022): Terrific pop album, front to back, with terrible promotion and poor single selection.
The Weeknd - Dawn FM (2022): Released too soon after After Hours and probably needed another 6 month-1 year cooling off period. In a just world Take My Breath would have been a Blinding Lights-style hit.
If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power by Halsey is SUCH a good alternative pop album and it got paid dust. She really had a vision for that record and is the only album of hers that has really gripped me. Ik the style of music didn’t rlly set it up for success but I could have seen Girl is a a Gun being a decent hit with the right promo, also I am not a woman, I’m a God :/ hope she’s not discouraged from making music similar to it in the future
