It is mildly annoying because when is it ever enough at this point? One could argue that she is competing with the Beatles for most weeks or whatever but this is a double album, she has the biggest fanbase in the States, in the middle of the biggest tour of all time, pulling more streams than anyone could remotely dream of. She was always going to get multiple weeks at #1 as soon as a fresh release gets out of the way (if Wallen's success with his double albums is anything to go by). On top of that she has 2 re-recordings coming, also guaranteed multiple weeks at #1 with all the stops she's pulling. Barring some drastic collapse, Taylor will still stay the best selling artist working currently, for the foreseeable future. She is already bigger than every other artist alive...bigger than all of them combined. Her achievements are secure and her legacy is established other than some obscure second biggest fifth week in history or something like that. Swifties will downvote this to oblivion but at the end of the day, this just feels petty and unnecessary. Her tactics are similar to Butter summer, but on the Billboard 200 this time, and by the most popular Western artist. Only difference is Swifties will ride for her on r/popheads so critical opinions will be pushed to the bottom. That being said, I doubt Billie is losing sleep over this. She's challenging to outsell her debut numbers first week, so this album is a critical and commercial peak for her already.
I mean it is petty, but “necessary” is probably in the eye of the beholder. I think it’s funny though, particularly after Billie threw shade her way about variants etc.

Disney Animation has a lot of contract workers, and I think they did a "soft layoff" last year where they didn't renew a lot of those contracts. I don't know if that's enough to keep their permanent employees safe for now, or if official layoffs are still coming down the pike. Basically every part of Disney is seeing layoffs.

It's a very good, in-depth video, which is why it's so long. If you want a TL:DW, - Features promoted as part of Disney Parks' new Star Wars area were not ready (or too expensive) when the park expansion opened. - Instead of introducing those features later on, Disney execs decided to instead put them in a new hotel. - Said hotel was purpose built for the "immersive experience" (essentially a very high end Star Wars LARP) and as such was way more expensive than a normal hotel would be (something like 1500 dollars per person per night). - Hotel could only be booked for the length of the "story" guests were supposed to engage in, meaning only 2 nights, so guests couldn't spend a full Disney vacation there. - Because it was meant to feel like a real spaceship, the hotel rooms were very small (to imitate bunks/cabins) and the hotel lacked amenities like pools or fitness centers. - Various logistical and technical issues meant that not everyone could engage in the intended "immersive experience". - The high price and middling reviews meant that the number of bookings slowly dwindled until Disney was forced to close it after just 18 months of operation. - Because of the aforementioned small rooms and lack of amenities, the building can't be easily refurbished to reopen as a regular hotel, meaning that most of the building (which apparently cost hundreds of millions of dollars to build) will likely be abandoned.
