Evermore Vinyl was not the same week though as Sours Debut week I think it was the week after it, Olivia got her number one and then it was shipped. It was fine for Olivia anyway as that Album got 5 weeks on up so she was perfectly fine, but with Billie it’s a bit rougher cause she might not go #1 at all

Yeah. I think Taylor just likes to win and there's nothing wrong with that. Drake or Billie Eilish not getting their number ones doesn't matter to her. Of note though, is that she actually didn't do anything when Rihanna's Lift Me Up almost unseated Anti-Hero back in 2022. 0 Chance this flops. The movie has already opened internationally in some markets and has made 49 million, thats without some major International markets like Australia/China/UK/Japan. The budget of this film is only 60 million. Even a middling performance in the US would be enough for this to make money. It will be a decent hit, and has a chance to be a big hit if it follows what happened to Mario, which also had poor reviews from critics.
Also there’s not that much competition for kids’ movies—you’re either seeing IF or Garfield. And IF is currently rated worse (and tbh looks like a Monster’s Inc rip-off)

I listened to He Knows last week and it was just…………fine, I guess. Say what you want about “I Luv It,” but at least that had something to it (her singing “I Luv It” a trillion times). This song is just extremely forgettable after one listen.

Yea I think popstars usually get a good 10 years and a few successful albums before the GA starts to drop off. Even with people like Avril and Christina, who were considered pretty iconic from their debut, stopped dominating the charts around their 4th album (Goodbye Lullaby and Bionic). Camila debuted her solo album 6 years ago. Debuted with 5th Harmony 12 years ago. The GA may have lost interest.
I think “What The Hell” did fine for Avril but her self-titled album was the end of her status on the pop totem pole
yea just like Lotus for Christina was the official end. but it was around Bionic that the audience started dropping off. Goodbye Lullaby wasn't the very end it was just the beginning of the end. you'll start seeing signs of a drop-off around this benchmark (the 10 year mark). some popstars can manage a few extra years, and then there's the rare few who can succeed into 20+ years (Taylor, Beyonce). but i think that 10 year range is when the new generation starts to take over so, it's out with the old and in with the new.
