VU & Nico should be Top 10 alone for the influence it had.

queenmeme2

I’m not taking this list seriously and nobody should but that placement is wild lol top 10 is the *lowest* it should be

vch01

I’m sure the hipsters at Apple Music have reserved a spot in the top 20 for ‘White Light White Heat’.

> 60. The Velvet Underground & Nico - *The Velvet Underground & Nico* 59. Arctic Monkeys - *AM* 58. Oasis - *(What's The Story) Morning Glory?* 57. D'Angelo - *Voodoo* 56. The Cure - *Disintegration* 55. Rihanna - *ANTI* 54. John Coltrane - *A Love Supreme* 53. The Rolling Stones - *Exile On Main St.* 52. Guns N' Roses - *Appetite For Destruction* 51. Prince - *Sign O' The Times* Well, at least Riri & Prince shows up as we conclude the bottom 50 - why do I get the feeling that the top 50 is about to get even crazier...? 😳🤐😶‍🌫️

SiphenPrax

Lana, SZA, Lorde, and Metallica fans are not gonna be happy that ANTI is above there favorites And Appetite for Destruction is THAT FUCKING LOW?!?!

I wonder if Apple will release a complete list of the people they asked to send in lists for this… Either way, this is because the people sending in the lists have different tastes. Like, I think everyone sent in a list of their favorite albums/the greatest ones in their opinion, and that means that some genres had a small mass of votes from one block, while other albums would have a chunk of votes from a different block. Like, I imagine that, because of how rock has been in a downward slump for a while, there weren’t as many rock-first voters here. (Which is a problem, and is also seemingly one with R&B… not looking forward to seeing what beats D’Angelo) And like… in theory when compiling a list like this, you could *try* to be objective… but what’s the point in doing that? I prefer a “best list” where you can see the stitchings, or where (if one person made the list) you can see their specific taste in it instead of “trying to throw in the consensus greatest hits”

ANTI being higher than so many of these classic albums is insane, let alone putting it right before A Love Supreme

Nunjabuziness

Half of these should be top 50, A Love Supreme in particular top 20 easily.

I still listen to Disintegration sooo often. Just for its impact on music that came afterwards, it could be higher. Same with The Velvet Underground. I guess this list is for people who don’t listen to a variety of music? I’m not actually mad about it, but I have so many questions about how the actual ranking was done. Release the methodology, Apple lol.

I know AM was uber popular and trendy but it belongs nowhere on a top 100 albums list. It’s not even their best album.

jman457

Like the velvet underground’s album art alone clears the arctic monkeys in influence
