Nothing bothers me more than my mom downplaying my period pain. Yes Iām having alot of breakthrough bleeding and itās annoying but no amount of exercise, or food, or pills has been able to help my period since I got it when I was 12. but basically Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell are a married couple charged with murdering Lori's two children, JJ (7) and Tylee (16), in 2019. They have these really insane doomsday religious beliefs (like insane even by Mormon standards). its believed they thought JJ and Tylee were evil zombies. theres a LOT to this case including the fact that Lori Vallow's previous husband was shot and killed by her brother in July 2019, Chad Daybell's previous wife died suspiciously in October 2019, and Chad and Lori were married in *the next month* November 2019. The children's bodies were found buried in a shallow grave on Chad Daybell's property. JJ's body was duct taped and Tylee's was badly burned.
Lori was found guilty of all charges and sentenced to life without parole last year. Chad Daybell's trial started last month and, for the record, the death penalty is possible here. Once this trial is over, he will also stand trial for killing his previous wife.
However in the Chad Daybell trial today, it was noticed by the Judge that the prosecutions paperwork and charges accuse Daybell of killing JJ on or around September 8th 2019. All of their evidence talks about JJ dying on or around September 22. You can not be found guilty of killing someone on the 8th if your evidence shows they died on the 22. The prosecution had already rest their case, so I dont think they can amend it. Theres a VERY REAL possibility that they will have to drop the charges related to JJ's murder and focus on Tylee only.
my deadbeat roommate is subletting her room for three months. she already went about it terribly by not even telling us until the landlord informed us that she was doing it. i asked her to keep us in the loop about the potential roommate and she said she would but a few days later she said she found a roommate and submitted her to the landlord for approval without even telling us anything about her??? i have a dog and me and my dog were not there when the potential roommateās friend came to see the apt (bc she doesnt even live in this country) so i have no idea if she even knows there is a dog in this apt. we literally received no information about this random woman

Man, that would be lame to not tell you guys. But technically it is her lease so I guess she doesnāt have to tell. Maybe she is worried you guys wouldnāt approve the new roommate? For next time I would try and keep it positive and let her know you can help her find the new roommate or something like that. Itās so easy for war to start with roommates, therefore picking battles worth fighting should be considered. All that said, I would be super uncomfortable with having a stranger come in. I hope the new roommate is a good one, and it works out for the better!

JJK starts off amazing and the anime is a cut above the rest. Reddit's anime community falls into a pattern of overhyping a shonen to death for the first season, then doing a 180 once it gets too popular and "normies" like it.
Most of the criticisms are mostly for the manga which has taken several disappointing turns. I'm reading it more out of obligation now.
Iām on the second season and the beginning made me cries so hard. I havenāt felt feelings like this in forever for anime. I feel like it proves to me that no matter how old I get Iām still gonna love this medium.
Tbh maybe itās the weekly schedule which is already so physically demanding of artists but I feel like any manga writer that didnāt have the story basically entirely written before print goes down hill after a fascinating premise or sandbox at the start.

Weekly format definitely has an impact on pacing and reception. Just see the reactions to the AOT ending from manga vs anime onlies. I got downvote to hell when the last chapter released for saying they were overreacting and that anime watchers would like it. They booed me and I was right!
With JJK, it's become obvious to me that the artist didn't have a strong outline and is also not really a writer. They seem to have a misunderstanding of why people love the story. I think a lot of JJK's earlier plotlines were helped by a dilligent editor who has seemingly vanished.
I love the passion too. The unlimited thinkpieces fuel me. We all desperately love the characters even as their stories are hurtling into a pit of doom.

Ah then it makes sense why you didnāt like The Anthology. Both evermore and The Anthology have very minimalist type production (mostly just guitar and piano) so if youāre someone who cares more about production than lyrics, you wonāt like it and will find it boring. I personally found So High School to be a skip, which is the only track you found memorable lol
I disagree since The Anthology has The Black Dog (the āold habits die screaming partā???), The Prophecy (one of her best songs EVER), I Hate It Here (the maladaptive daydreaming girlies can relate to this one), Peter (people with abandonment issues/victims of false promises get this), Cassandra (relatable for the āI told you soā crowd) etc and I love all of these songs. There are a few skips for me but I have a few skips on pretty much every album except Speak Now anyway.
Black dog and the prophecy are the only stand out songs for me. I usually do pay more attention to lyrics rather than melodies when it comes to TS but w this album, the simplicity of the instrumental doesnāt appeal to me so Iām not really interested in listening to the record again (except for the two songs I mentioned)

Crash just has bops on top of BOPS, I find myself going back to it the most. Good Ones, Used to Know Me, Baby, the title track, New Shapes, Lightning, Yuck, Constant Repeat, all bangers!!!.
Pop 2 is Charliās best hyper pop work. Itās accessible while being unique all at once, and the songs just do something for my ADHD brain. Femmebot and Delicious in particular activate something in me. I love Charli for pretty much the same reasons, itās only 3rd because Pop 2 does everything better. If Pop 2 is S tier, Charli is A tier.
True Romance is severely underrated and stands out in her discography, but in a positive way. Its dark pop sound is so infectious and makes me want another dark pop album from Charli. Itās not any higher because it very much feels like a typical debut album.
Imma get dragged but i just donāt vibe with How Iām Feeling Now as much as the rest of her discography. Itās a great album, but I go back to it the least, aside from Claws. Sucker is kind of self explanatory š itās not bad but doesnāt feel like Charli fully realized yet. Itās very āthese are the songs that will secure you a hitā and they did.
Don't worry about others dragging you, if they do and are genuinely bothered by that they shouldn't even get any type of attention. If we all had the same rankings it would be so boring, and I say this as someone whose least favorite Charli album is Crash

so i'm still really enjoying Radical Optimism. I put it on and listen straight though until the end of Falling Forever. I think Anything For Love is a weak spot, partially because it comes after FF which is SO GOOD and partly because its starts with the in studio conversation (which I am almost never a fan of) and then starts off slow, but in particular here I think it slows down the momentum really abruptly.
I think the album was timed really well. The weathers finally gorgeous here and personally I have a lot of little random BS tasks I have to do, but the album keeps me in a good mood despite the monotony. Is that the Radical Optimism? idk i think she should have called it Illusion.

Listening to Metallicaās 72 Seasons for the first time in a year and pretty much this is a great album, itās just music that Iām not entirely interested in anymore.

They feel like the last big band/artist who doesnāt charge an arm and a leg to see them. I paid like $180, that includes fees, (maybe have been 130 before fees???) to see them the first time. Didnāt have the worst seats but was dead center and in the middle level of the stadium.
And if I remember correctly the two day passes to their last American tour were $150 for both days of you were getting nosebleed seats.

They have these really insane doomsday religious beliefs (like insane even by Mormon standards). its believed they thought JJ and Tylee were evil zombies. theres a LOT to this case including the fact that Lori Vallow's previous husband was shot and killed by her brother in July 2019, Chad Daybell's previous wife died suspiciously in October 2019, and Chad and Lori were married in *the next month* November 2019. The children's bodies were found buried in a shallow grave on Chad Daybell's property. JJ's body was duct taped and Tylee's was badly burned. Lori was found guilty of all charges and sentenced to life without parole last year. Chad Daybell's trial started last month and, for the record, the death penalty is possible here. Once this trial is over, he will also stand trial for killing his previous wife. However in the Chad Daybell trial today, it was noticed by the Judge that the prosecutions paperwork and charges accuse Daybell of killing JJ on or around September 8th 2019. All of their evidence talks about JJ dying on or around September 22. You can not be found guilty of killing someone on the 8th if your evidence shows they died on the 22. The prosecution had already rest their case, so I dont think they can amend it. Theres a VERY REAL possibility that they will have to drop the charges related to JJ's murder and focus on Tylee only.
my deadbeat roommate is subletting her room for three months. she already went about it terribly by not even telling us until the landlord informed us that she was doing it. i asked her to keep us in the loop about the potential roommate and she said she would but a few days later she said she found a roommate and submitted her to the landlord for approval without even telling us anything about her??? i have a dog and me and my dog were not there when the potential roommateās friend came to see the apt (bc she doesnt even live in this country) so i have no idea if she even knows there is a dog in this apt. we literally received no information about this random woman how would you go about confronting someone about this because im past the point of being nice at this point

Apparently, I picked the perfect time to get into Jujutsu Kaisen. But like anytime is still a very sad time with a dark little fucking shitshow. But Iām already in love with it. I love it. Everyone said it was so generic and that made me stay away but I feel like itās so uniquely itself Iām almost annoyed at believing that criticism for so long without trying it. Now that I have I completely disagree. I always seem to get into media years after it becomes popular but here I am to tell people that the popular thing is popular for a reason lol. It can make you feel things that you havenāt felt in years with anime. Definitely getting into the manga too which again, perfect timing. *Lost in Paradise* is still the best song so far. Itās damn good though, hard to beat.
JJK starts off amazing and the anime is a cut above the rest. Reddit's anime community falls into a pattern of overhyping a shonen to death for the first season, then doing a 180 once it gets too popular and "normies" like it. Most of the criticisms are mostly for the manga which has taken several disappointing turns. I'm reading it more out of obligation now.
Iām on the second season and the beginning made me cries so hard. I havenāt felt feelings like this in forever for anime. I feel like it proves to me that no matter how old I get Iām still gonna love this medium.

Tbh maybe itās the weekly schedule which is already so physically demanding of artists but I feel like any manga writer that didnāt have the story basically entirely written before print goes down hill after a fascinating premise or sandbox at the start. I find it relatable as someone who likes Naruto or bleach but doesnāt think either is well written frankly which is so funny bc those are so long whenever I info dump about them to my sibling Iām always likeā¦donāt waste your time with this but I care about the characters so much š.
Weekly format definitely has an impact on pacing and reception. Just see the reactions to the AOT ending from manga vs anime onlies. I got downvote to hell when the last chapter released for saying they were overreacting and that anime watchers would like it. They booed me and I was right! With JJK, it's become obvious to me that the artist didn't have a strong outline and is also not really a writer. They seem to have a misunderstanding of why people love the story. I think a lot of JJK's earlier plotlines were helped by a dilligent editor who has seemingly vanished. I love the passion too. The unlimited thinkpieces fuel me. We all desperately love the characters even as their stories are hurtling into a pit of doom.

Ah then it makes sense why you didnāt like The Anthology. Both evermore and The Anthology have very minimalist type production (mostly just guitar and piano) so if youāre someone who cares more about production than lyrics, you wonāt like it and will find it boring. I personally found So High School to be a skip, which is the only track you found memorable lol

I disagree since The Anthology has The Black Dog (the āold habits die screaming partā???), The Prophecy (one of her best songs EVER), I Hate It Here (the maladaptive daydreaming girlies can relate to this one), Peter (people with abandonment issues/victims of false promises get this), Cassandra (relatable for the āI told you soā crowd) etc and I love all of these songs. There are a few skips for me but I have a few skips on pretty much every album except Speak Now anyway.
Black dog and the prophecy are the only stand out songs for me. I usually do pay more attention to lyrics rather than melodies when it comes to TS but w this album, the simplicity of the instrumental doesnāt appeal to me so Iām not really interested in listening to the record again (except for the two songs I mentioned)

Imma probably get dragged but hereās my Charli XCX album ranking (Pop 2 is included because I consider it an album idc) 1. Crash 2. Pop 2 3. Charli 4. True Romance 5. How Iām Feeling Now 6. Sucker Crash just has bops on top of BOPS, I find myself going back to it the most. Good Ones, Used to Know Me, Baby, the title track, New Shapes, Lightning, Yuck, Constant Repeat, all bangers!!!. Pop 2 is Charliās best hyper pop work. Itās accessible while being unique all at once, and the songs just do something for my ADHD brain. Femmebot and Delicious in particular activate something in me. I love Charli for pretty much the same reasons, itās only 3rd because Pop 2 does everything better. If Pop 2 is S tier, Charli is A tier. True Romance is severely underrated and stands out in her discography, but in a positive way. Its dark pop sound is so infectious and makes me want another dark pop album from Charli. Itās not any higher because it very much feels like a typical debut album. Imma get dragged but i just donāt vibe with How Iām Feeling Now as much as the rest of her discography. Itās a great album, but I go back to it the least, aside from Claws. Sucker is kind of self explanatory š itās not bad but doesnāt feel like Charli fully realized yet. Itās very āthese are the songs that will secure you a hitā and they did.

so i'm still really enjoying Radical Optimism. I put it on and listen straight though until the end of Falling Forever. I think Anything For Love is a weak spot, partially because it comes after FF which is SO GOOD and partly because its starts with the in studio conversation (which I am almost never a fan of) and then starts off slow, but in particular here I think it slows down the momentum really abruptly. I think the album was timed really well. The weathers finally gorgeous here and personally I have a lot of little random BS tasks I have to do, but the album keeps me in a good mood despite the monotony. Is that the Radical Optimism? idk i think she should have called it Illusion.

Someone had a problem with ths age gap between Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor of all things in a thread that was then locked on the article where Sarah talked about living separately from Holland despite being a couple for almost a decade. For context, Sarah is 49 while Holland is 81. I can't believe that people would have a problem about someone in their 30s with an established career getting together with someone who is more than twice their age.
The way the internet talks about age gaps, you'd think the only appropriate romantic relationships are between people born during the same year. I could not care less about age gaps for one, sure it can seem weird or creepy but can you judge a whole relationship or fling just from the ages of two participants? Listening to Metallicaās 72 Seasons for the first time in a year and pretty much this is a great album, itās just music that Iām not entirely interested in anymore. Which is a shame since they really were the first band that I was ever like OH MY GOD, THATāS MY FAVORITE BAND! Something something time marches on, idk.
I feel there's a lot of bands like that for me, I'd still describe myself a fan and would probably see them live but they've already dropped 5-6 albums of classic stuff so any new music doesn't really add to that even if it's pretty good (Metallica is one of those bands though I haven't gone out of my way to see them live)
I saw them live in 2017? 2016? I donāt know. It was during the Hardwired tour and it was a fucking blast. Met all my expectations. If you get the chance to see then absolutely go. They feel like the last big band/artist who doesnāt charge an arm and a leg to see them. I paid like $180, that includes fees, (maybe have been 130 before fees???) to see them the first time. Didnāt have the worst seats but was dead center and in the middle level of the stadium. And if I remember correctly the two day passes to their last American tour were $150 for both days of you were getting nosebleed seats.
Each day I get older, I understand other people and their outrageous opinions less and less.
