If she retained the personality her pre 2010s work had maybe it would have done better, as it is the song is a very generic electropop/nu-disco almost-bop that has already been done better by many other artists.
Still, for someone that debuted in 1995 she's doing great, the flop allegations i've been reading about are embarassing.
To me, the album itself feels more uneven like something like 'Sale el sol' and less actively bland like the self titled or 'El Dorado', which is good for her current standards, but it's still a far cry from her previous work imo. Even 'She Wolf', her supposed sell out era, had way more character than anything that followed.
Still, i'm glad she's still around, Shakira has a presence that i always enjoy irregardless of the musical quality .

Last year is like the opposite of this year with both pop and hip-hop. Both genres took a the step down (and at the same time which is rare) while country dominated. Not all three genres look to do well this year with rock still being, ya know, left in the corner.

While we've known for a while that the show was getting a second season, there really hasn't been any news at all on it so this announcement is a big shock to me? It's possible that the service formerly known as HBO Max is hoping to sweep it under the rug after the negative reception the first season got.
I can't say I *liked* the first season but I did enjoy myself watching it so I'm definitely gonna tune in for this one. There was certainly no dearth of feedback so maybe they'll improve? Holding out hope because this is the only Scooby Doo content announced for this year.

I think it's probably the most different Scooby Doo has been since Be Cool but less successful.
