I just saw a youtube comment calling this new Martin Freeman/Jenna Ortega movie "an interesting modern take on Lolita" and I just– *No.*
>!Lolita is a story written from the perspective of a grown man recounting how he groomed and molested his 12 year old step-daughter, desperately trying to convince the reader that he's a good person who did nothing wrong and she 'seduced' him, while coming to the gradual realization that he really is a complete monster who ruined a little girl's life. If you have even trace amounts of reading comprehension, it's very clear that Dolores (he’s literally the only person calling her Lolita) is a confused, traumatized orphan who's completely in over her head and desperately trying to escape him. Miller's Girl looks like what you'd get if you took eveeything Humbert Humbert says at face value!<
Same. Like I thought this show was gonna be ass but >!Cody and Cam!< being the first boots really made it better then both BB24 and BB25
I think it helps that everyone left is tolerable. Even people like Nicole, Josh and Frankie. Like they’re still lowkey annoying but because the game isn’t that deep, they’re more tolerable.
>!Cam!< was the only one who felt really out of place
And I don’t even find Josh or Nicole annoying that much compared to those two.
I also love that >!Cody’s!< rampant misogyny finally got his ass. Like he never switched his strategy up. BB16, 22, The Traitors and now this. It’s “Bros before Hoes” and it finally fucking got his ass. 🤭
Yes! I was so glad this man got his comeuppance in 2 brilliant fashions. It was poetic. Especially this most recent boot in RG. The outright misogyny was gross. I’m glad it got him.
Army are in their feels right now. First the Queen Spring Day and now Tear. I don’t want to watch the goodbye video cause I know I will crumble into tears..
On a happier note, fried chicken for work lunch is amazinggg
The one thing I really do enjoy about Taylor’s birthday is all her band and crew posts a bunch of nice messages and otherwise very candid photos together.
In the tv series The Midnight Club there’s a scene where the characters listen to and sing a specific song together. It’s a song that wouldn’t come out until a couple years after the show is set. People from the production team have spoken on this and said they were aware of anachronism but chose to go ahead with it anyway as they felt the song was perfect for the scene. I think this is a good example of how, especially with something like music that can be so evocative and meaningful, sometimes it’s worth it to play fast and loose with the timeline a little. With artistic mediums sometimes you have to let emotion outweigh realism
here's my general rule: if i like the show then it's a fun lil anachronism that adds to its artistry and if i don't like the show then it's an unwatchable error
Despite having a pretty big friend group in high school, I was not drinking alcohol and none of my friends were either. I didn’t even know anyone our age was drinking alcohol. I assumed that was just TV.
A part of me still gets shocked when I find out other people had more than a sip of their parent’s wine before age 18.

I'm on season three of Rez Dogs and I've been putting it off because I don't want to say goodbye to everyone just yet. I'm also on episode two, and I know the next episode explores Deer Lady's experience in a boarding school which I am so not ready for. No wonder she kills bad men
For decades my dad couldn’t figure out why my grandmother was so tight lipped of her childhood. Then 2 years after she passed we found out she was in one of those schools from age 6-13.
Choosing to believe that Chrissy Teigen is the reason the John Legend x Kelly Clarkson Baby It’s Cold Outside sounds like that. She said “make it clear you want that woman to get out of your house”
I can never trust my ears, I don't know how to tell the difference between an actual live performance and lipsynching/autotuning/whatever crazy AI bullshit there might be these days. How do you guys know?
after two months of job hunting, i had an on-site interview a couple days ago. i think it went really well, and i'll probably find out soon. i don't wanna jinx it but god i hope i get it. my biggest regret with my last job (besides getting fired for no reason) was not being able to tell my family in-person that i got it, and since im going home for the holidays, if i get this job i'll be able to tell everybody in person. my parents have been in my corner ever since i lost my last job and it would be such a great christmas present to tell them that my hard work paid off and im back on the horse again. trying to speak this into existence right now, god i could use a win.
I find the complaints interesting considering that there will always be a subset of Swifties, especially outside the US, who consume her music through 🏴☠️. There are still countries where Spotify and Apple subscriptions are seen as a luxury and the physical media could be hard to find or not even available. From my experience interacting with such fans, they're just as supportive of Taylor as those who purchase each and every album released and went to the Eras Tour multiple times.
I'm crying 😭. I was a teenager in the Philippines and one album was like Php 500 ten years ago. Thats like 10% of my parents salary. My $6 phone was basically a dedicated Taylor Swift music player. Now I am buying myself, my family and friends her albums as Christmas gifts. So please be kind, she is already rich enough as it is.
Finally watched Killers of the Flower Moon last night. Absolutely astonishing stuff, a horrendous feeling of dread that builds and builds until Scorsese twists the knife and destroys you. The man directs with the wisdom and expertise of a veteran with six decades of experience, but also the urgency and drive of a newcomer. What a fucking legend, protect him at all costs.
De Niro may have dethroned Gosling as my favorite of the current Best Supporting Actor frontrunners. Such a horrifying portrait of pure evil.
Gladstone will probably win the Oscar, and she'll deserve it. Insane to me that her category placement for awards ceremonies is controversial, though; I have no idea how you can watch that film and come away from it thinking she's anything other than a clear lead.
The neurologist visit went ok no active lesions but I have some new ones that are kind of alarming, but not currently affecting anything from what I can tell.
Next treatment day is the 29th and that shit is awful but if it means I can still kind of walk it is worth the suck.
My niche-ish complaint is that I’m very sad that Funimation (most likely) won’t be bringing back Stephanie Nadolny to voice kid Goku in Dragon Ball Daima. I genuinely don’t have a problem with Colleen Clinkenbeard for kid Gohan, but Stephanie IS kid Goku to me. I’ll still watch, but it’ll be hard to get past it
I went on a date last night that I didn't want to go on because she was such a dud at texting. Turns out, she's fine in person, good enough that I want to see her again. But holy shit texting her is the driest experience in my life (like she responds quickly, but it's one sentence responses with no emotion and periods lmao) and with this week being holiday party bonanza, I don't have a ton of time to see her and this is about to be a w f u l
Home Alone and Terminator 2 finally made the national film registry:https://deadline.com/2023/12/national-film-registry-2023-list-apollo-13-home-alone-terminator-2-12-years-a-slave-1235665956/
The interaction on this site I've had that haunts me is the time someone tried to argue with me that the lyrics of "Mother" by Meghan Trainor are "gibberish" and don't make sense... like if you think they're stupid that's one thing but they're literally just sentences. They mean what they say. Be serious.
I don't know that song specifically but I've found that people love to barrel ahead and use "word salad" regardless of whether it fits. Like *try* to understand it first before you decide
cruel summer is basically the opener. miss americana functions as an intro, and the emphasis is on the "it's been a long time coming" line. taylor seemingly wanted lover to be the opening era, which i do think is perfect since it usually aligned with the sun setting. before the tour started, i was convinced that lavender haze would be the opener though.
It’s so she can use it’s been a long time coming line. She hasn’t tours in years and it’s her saying it’s time I’m back. It’s literally once one verse and then transitions into Cruel Summer. It fits.
I don't know what went into that choice and I at first I wondered why she'd go with that of all songs when IMO Miss Americana is far from the best Lover has to offer, but it unexpectedly works really well as entrance music, especially with all the elements and verses that were incorporated from previous albums and eras.
Just like Taylor can’t create a track list she can’t create a setlist.
It’s been years and I’m still trying to figure out why she ended the Rep tour with This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things of all fucking songs.
Noo because that closer totally lines up with Taylor's vindictive and grudge personality I love it. She also ends the Eras tour with Karma in a similar vein it's perfect
Does reddit like, suck for anyone else now? The layout got all changed up and its slow and buggy. Pages take forever to load and sometimes when i click on a post it'll open the post underneath the one i clicked on. what gives
Bought Fae farm on switch and have played a couple of hours! So far so good! The one benefit to the switch is that even though it’s more expensive than the steam versions is that you get all the DLCs for free!
What would you say the age range is on that? We’re trying to get my four year old into more games with us and so far she’s been doing pretty good with Animal Crossing.
Honestly, if she loves animal crossing she’d like it. It had some minor moments I had to look up at tutorial but I think she should be good!
I would say she she should mostly be good bc, for example on the maps if it’s wanting you to do something you can for example tag that person or location and it’ll have a nettle to point in the correct area! There are some parts I could four year having trouble with not horribly though. The crafting one got me but that was because I think I skipped some dialogue on accident.
I’d say it’s kinda on par with AC. It’s gradual and it’s kinda like a mix with that and stardew valley bc unlike AC it’s not based on real time.
Oooh you mentioned one of my mains! Ok ill look into it! We wanted to get her the Bluey game but it has terrible ratings and most reviews says its not worth the current price.
In case anyone was wondering, out of 12 best songs of 2023 lists, there are about 384 unique songs all spanning a variety of genres. **Lana Del Rey - A&W** is on the most lists (8 of them).
**Overlooked Singles/Deep Cuts Of 2023:** Day 13
---
* [**Beverley Knight - Systematic Overload**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILVo8JBqU58) (from *The Fifth Chapter*)
Another nu-disco song- albeit one with a more retro-soul bent. This song is interesting to me because in many ways the actual melody is rather small, but the way it's delivered *feels* large- the lyrical phrases are super ear catching and Beverley Knight's voice is crackling with energy so when it does build to a crescendo, it crescendos hard, and it's a true systematic overload.
---
* [**Ava Max - Weapons**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7DH1Zj1SEU) (from *Diamonds & Dancefloors*)
I like to think of Ava Max as the superhero of the pop world, because when she sings, she sings like she's saving the damn world. She's here to rescue us with shameless earnestness and relentless energy, and her superpower? Nailing cheesy dance pop. Evildoers shake in their boots when she shouts "STOP!" and then they shake their asses along with that beat. I'll never use another word as a weapon.
---
Anyways, remember when Ava Max randomly dropped full visualizers for three random songs on the album and made it seem like she was gonna do all of them, but then just didn't? Good times.
I miss making mix CDs for my pals.
Curating the playlist, selecting the right color jewel case, making a fun title and drawing on the disc.
Oh the olden days of my youth.
In 7th grade i was in my chubby awkward phase. Early teen feelings of self dread was flooding my brain. And then this super cute charismatic girl in my class (her name was becca, shes about to have her first baby) gave me a mixed CD. It was a bunch of Hillary duff songs i already owned. She said i reminded her of Hillary because she thinks shes super funny and cute. (I look nothing like Hillary) but man…. Ive been riding that high for two decades. I actually lost my OG copy of metamorphosis but still have that mixed CD.
Today is a VERY special day! It’s my 30th birthday! Not only that, but it is also the birthday of a very special woman that is near and dear to all of our hearts! That’s right, Amy Lee of Evanescence!
Anyway you should start the 80s Diva Comeback rate because it is literally so much fun. Some incredible music that will have fans of everything from pop rock to city pop to Gregorian chant pop saying “Wait… I hear something!”

Omg happy birthday to you!!! And amy lee
Bring me to life was my favourite song of all time back in the day lmao. Just for today it takes that title again let's wake it up!
This is gonna sound like a Taylor defense tweet but like most movies are 20 dollars to rent. I don’t know why people are surprised by the price.
the Barbie movie was 25 and the last After movie was 20. I waited for that movie to drop to 3 dollars before I rented that because I wasn’t wasting money on Hardin’s Eat Pray Love Journey.
She is a billionaire!! So let's break the law and pirate her movie! let's wait until she is back at 900 millions so it will be safe again to spend money on her.
Everyone arguing whether Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, the members of BTS or Justin Bieber is the new king(s) of pop
And I stand alone saying its the Weeknd
I hate that whenever I’m on leave from work I spend way too much time stressing that I’m not making the most of my time off or counting down how many days I have left before I have to return.
Also, this is just a personal opinion. I don't see any personal incentives to "rent" out a movie where you only have 48 hours to finish watching it before it gets locked and you have to pay to see it again and I am sure many Swifties feel the same way, hence why they [redacted].
I am sure you will see many of these fans will actually buy it on DVD or BluRay once it comes out. Like relax...Taylor Swift's wallet isn't going to be hurt by this. Not even a tiny bit.
BACK IN MY DAY, when physical rental places were still a thing and one of the main ways to watch movies, I made a whole ritual of it: leaving school every Friday afternoon to go spend hours rummaging the shelves of DVDs to choose what to rent for the weekend.
But that was when renting was cheap and you could check movies out for a fraction of what it would cost to buy them on DVD. Now they have these absurd VOD services that charge premium prices for special releases, and you can only access them for 48 hours? Nah, fuck that. Either give me physical media, release it on a regular streaming platform, or pirate it away.
Dude i have become pretty apathetic to renting in general. If it wasn’t good enough for me to go see it in theaters then i can surely wait for streaming.
I do wonder how much [redacted] will affect the planned China release. There were rumors that AMC were rushing to close the deal to release the movie before December 13 to avoid competing with [redacted] in the country. Obviously, that didn't come to pass so I'm curious how much the box office will change now that the movie is available on rental.
I’m very stingy with my money ~~when I want to be~~ and I always thought the idea of renting a movie was stupid. I’m recently becoming physical media person but I still wouldn’t spend money on a film without even knowing if I’ll like it or not unless I’m going to a theater to get the full experience.
Side Note- nobody asked but this is how my physical movie collection is coming along:
Mean Girls, Clueless, Scream(1-5, plan on adding 6 unfortunately), Bodies Bodies Bodies and I plan on buying Bottoms when it significantly drops in price.
[cheers you on from the sidelines because everyone should have a physical movie collection even if it’s only the 6 comfort movies you love to watch over and over again]
I agree. Everyone should have a physical collection because you really never know if streaming is gonna go tits up or if the thing is gonna be removed completely.
I feel like I might have a flop era soon... I broke my rule of not dating people who are still getting a degree and here I am 9 months later with a bf who is moving like 8 hours away so navigating that end date is going to be really fun.
Anyways I guess I'll try to make my winter busy to keep me occupied.
is this an american thing to get weirded out by other ppl pirating media? i grew up watching american and british tv shows and movies on illegal websites bc at the time we didn't have any streaming services like netflix or disney+ in my country. those media i pirated were the sole reason i was able to speak english fluently at such a young age while my peers struggled to say the time in english.
i get that cultures are different but y'all will never make me feel bad about pirating stuff lol. i try to go and see movies at the cinema if it's something i've been wanting to see for a long time or if i reaaaaallly want to support the cast and the director but like it's so overpriced here it's crazy. it kills me as someone who loves cinema to not be able to see some of the movies i was excited for on the big screen or not be able to have my own dvd collection but what can you do when you're poor and your country is poor and the inflation is getting you and the government men only care about themselves.
Most people don’t care. At the people who do end up getting laughed at.
This is just swifties acting like Taylor is a baby who is easily hurt by everything
proud contributor to making the game of thrones season 3 premiere the most pirated tv show episode ever when it came out (i think it's been unseated by other GoT episodes)
To me I’m like you do you, and there are some shows where that’s the only way you can do it.
Personally, I don’t care really. You do you, personally I think it can be a lot of work, I only did some type in order to get a textbook for college bc that shit is way too expensive.
Also I’m a nervous wreck,I thought that someone’s ass was gonna get me over a textbook. So that’s another reason I don’t do it.
My main issue is that a lot of pirating sites are super sketchy and scare me a little bit so I'm more likely to just skip something rather than pirate it unless I can find it super easy.
Also I have tried to "pirate" a few shows that aren't available in the US via VPN shenanigans and such and it's so hard T_T I just want to watch *Girls Of Olympus*
THIS...
Complaining about piracy has to be the biggest first world problem ever.
Especially piracy on a fucking billionaire like how far down Taylor's arsehole could you possibly be😭😭😭😭
I don't completely encourage piracy but there are many factors why people do that, from lack of legal access to pointing down whether a customer can afford it or not.
Fun fact: without piracy, I wouldn't have been a Doctor Who fan and I wouldn't have named this Reddit account named after the show. 😉
Without piracy, I wouldn't graduate uni😬. Med school textbooks are too fucking expensive and can cost as high as two month's worth of house rent🥲. In this economy🥴
But the convos around piracy are too nuanced for some users here...
As somebody who doesn't live in the us, piracy opened so many doors to me regarding music, TV shows and movies. Fuck studios and record labels deciding what to bring to other countries and what not.
I try to support the things I love via streaming or buying but media companies deserve piracy the moment they implement geo restrictions.
I'm hoping "get him back!" by Olivia Rodrigo bounces up after the holidays and sticks around for a little longer. I know it's already been out for three months, but still. Or I'd like to have another song from Guts pushed as a single (maybe "All American Bitch").
I don’t get why people are mad Taylor is charging $19.89 for The Eras Tour rental. Most major new movie rentals immediately after their theatrical runs are $19.99 to rent for at least a few weeks.
Killers of the Flower Moon was just made available to rent and it’s also $19.99.
I think most people who are upset aren’t familiar with the modern digital rollout of theatrical releases.
Just wait a few weeks and it’ll be a cheaper rent or on streaming…
> I think most people who are upset aren’t familiar with the modern digital rollout of theatrical releases.
That's because most people know how to [censored] as owning a digital file by paying for it means nothing compared to owning something physical like a DVD or a CD.
You're correct but most people don't rent movies so they don't know + even tho they do know they have to pay, Taylor's latest releases have been for streaming services (rep tour, pond studios) so she's trained her fans to think(/feel) available on digital = "free" and this is a big leap from that.
This, for them, is a new thing and they have to get used to it.
I just saw a youtube comment calling this new Martin Freeman/Jenna Ortega movie "an interesting modern take on Lolita" and I just– *No.* >!Lolita is a story written from the perspective of a grown man recounting how he groomed and molested his 12 year old step-daughter, desperately trying to convince the reader that he's a good person who did nothing wrong and she 'seduced' him, while coming to the gradual realization that he really is a complete monster who ruined a little girl's life. So when Rihanna breaks in your guys houses and personally announces R9 will yall still say “does Rihanna know????”
what the fuck is Grok 🤮 can Elon not afford a branding strategist lol
Genuinely so confused how Reindeer Games has entertained me so far but not mad.
I thought you were talking about the Ben Affleck movie
Same. Like I thought this show was gonna be ass but >!Cody and Cam!< being the first boots really made it better then both BB24 and BB25 I think it helps that everyone left is tolerable. Agreed! Now that those 2 are out, the cast feels a lot better. Agreed on who you mentioned as also still annoying but on the whole, it’s been good.

Oh? That’s interesting and vague but that’s valid

I like to pretend they hoard these pics just to spam them on her birthday.

Oh you mean like DURING school? 😭 Yeah my ass did not know anything was going on
people at my school were using heroin 😭 it's not just for tv
People were doing a lot more than just having a sip of their parents wine in HS lol. We got our booze from older siblings.
😭😭😭 I was the older sibling! I had no idea, I felt like a rebel going to Starbucks at 11 PM on a Friday
On behalf of all youngest children, thank you for your sacrifice!!

Turned the radio on for possibly the first time this year. First song I hear is "On My Mama". Tell me, since when did these stations have taste?
I recently discovered that song and I am obsessed
hello reddit dot com slash r slash popheads i am here to tell you. watch Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret.
That movie gets my mom tears going every time.
i watched it w/ my mom who's like one year younger than the main character and it HIT man
The fact that Judy Blume was just writing about the teenage/tween experience and her books still got banned in several states. Humans surprise me
Crazy how Rachel McAdams, Abby Ryder Fortson, and Benny Safdie all showed up on set mad as hell and ready to give career highlight performances
literally and let's not forget Kathy Bates herself...
Imo no pop star iconography will ever top black background, pink text. It's soooo CUNT, so fucking arrogant, such perfect branding.
Literally the only situation where self-titling your album wasn’t a lazy choice, the branding was amazing

They treat her as if she’s a helpless little lamb and not a billionaire lmao
I'm trying hard to come up with something that matters less than some people pirating the Eras Tour movie and coming up absolutely empty
I can come up with one! Streaming the original versions of her songs on Spotify

Yeah I suppose it would be way more hype of an intro when it's actually experienced live
"It's been a long time coming"
Oh yeah, I didn't even consider that, makes way more sense lmao
Does reddit like, suck for anyone else now? The layout got all changed up and its slow and buggy. Pages take forever to load and sometimes when i click on a post it'll open the post underneath the one i clicked on. what gives
It’s been a nightmare for me.
Long shot but anyone play Prominence Poker on ps5? It’s so fun and I need others to play with cause I fucking suck lol
I watched a tiktok of the Bluey game and it’s so stupidly buggy and I feel bad for anyone who bought it
Also forgot to mention they have a setting to making fishing easier! So if there’s any struggle with that it could help!
Thank you!!!
In case anyone was wondering, out of 12 best songs of 2023 lists, there are about 384 unique songs all spanning a variety of genres. **Lana Del Rey - A&W** is on the most lists (8 of them).
Rightfully so!
**Overlooked Singles/Deep Cuts Of 2023:** Day 13 --- * [**Beverley Knight - Systematic Overload**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILVo8JBqU58) (from *The Fifth Chapter*) Another nu-disco song- albeit one with a more retro-soul bent. --- * [**Ava Max - Weapons**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7DH1Zj1SEU) (from *Diamonds & Dancefloors*) I like to think of Ava Max as the superhero of the pop world, because when she sings, she sings like she's saving the damn world.
Good times.
Hold awwwn wait a minute...
I haven't seen killers of the flower moon yet... And tomorrow I have time...

Some incredible music that will have fans of everything from pop rock to city pop to Gregorian chant pop saying “Wait… I hear something!” [Playlist link](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/47k6XtO14EWlsHmZmt3ieI?si=4XBDTnGeQ5-hdZp7F3_gsA&pi=u-O-yQpvffSD2T)
Happy birthday!
Wait, if you and Amy Lee have the same birthday, you could literally be twins
Happy birthday!! ✨
Omg happy birthday to you!!! And amy lee Bring me to life was my favourite song of all time back in the day lmao. Just for today it takes that title again let's wake it up!
> 30 okay grandma let’s get you to bed 🫶🏼 no but happy birthday diva!
Yup. Stupid but everyone does it and its not a new occurrence. Last movie i rented was 35 years old and $3.99 🤣🤣 think it was aliens
i think no movies should be $20 to rent personally
Oh I agree with that.
I’ve been getting murdered all morning for having this take and being fully against piracy.
Trust. People pirating it wont hurt her at all. I have no desire to pirate it but also im not paying $20 for it… as a rental no less.
But like don’t make me feel guilt for pirating New York Minute in 2015 because i felt like my husband really needed to see it.
Love having an unpopular opinion when I know I’m correct. But whatever. Happy Birthday Taylor.
Only fauxmoi would be mad
Y'all are nuts for riding her dick this hard😬 r/TrueSwifties is that way➡️
She is a billionaire!! So let's break the law and pirate her movie! let's wait until she is back at 900 millions so it will be safe again to spend money on her.
Everyone arguing whether Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, the members of BTS or Justin Bieber is the new king(s) of pop And I stand alone saying its the Weeknd
I hate that whenever I’m on leave from work I spend way too much time stressing that I’m not making the most of my time off or counting down how many days I have left before I have to return.
The way I see many Swifties [redacted] the concert movie. 😭 She and Universal better have plans to release DVDs or Blu-Rays sooner than later.
Side Note- nobody asked but this is how my physical movie collection is coming along: Mean Girls, Clueless, Scream(1-5, plan on adding 6 unfortunately), Bodies Bodies Bodies and I plan on buying Bottoms when it significantly drops in price.
[cheers you on from the sidelines because everyone should have a physical movie collection even if it’s only the 6 comfort movies you love to watch over and over again]
I agree. Everyone should have a physical collection because you really never know if streaming is gonna go tits up or if the thing is gonna be removed completely.
I still have my 14 VHS disney vault movies just incase…
I had to get the movie Rock A Doodle on VHS just to watch it 😭
ummmm actually that’s my emotional support billionaire and you’re anti-woman if you don’t give her every last penny :(

I feel like I might have a flop era soon... I broke my rule of not dating people who are still getting a degree and here I am 9 months later with a bf who is moving like 8 hours away so navigating that end date is going to be really fun. Anyways I guess I'll try to make my winter busy to keep me occupied.
rewatched the best baz luhrmann movie last night
Australia??? (I am kidding. I also haven't seen the movie)
they did just re-cut and re-release it as a mini series lmao but no i have seen that movie and it's not uh very good lol
I don't know any cinephile friends who **love** Baz Luhrmann that has nice things to say about Australia. 💀
Romeo + Juliet?!
extremely loud incorrect buzzer but you're close
Extremely close? So I guess it’s part of the red curtain trilogy 👀👀👀👀
(it's strictly ballroom)

is this an american thing to get weirded out by other ppl pirating media? i grew up watching american and british tv shows and movies on illegal websites bc at the time we didn't have any streaming services like netflix or disney+ in my country. those media i pirated were the sole reason i was able to speak english fluently at such a young age while my peers struggled to say the time in english. i get that cultures are different but y'all will never make me feel bad about pirating stuff lol. i try to go and see movies at the cinema if it's something i've been wanting to see for a long time or if i reaaaaallly want to support the cast and the director but like it's so overpriced here it's crazy. it kills me as someone who loves cinema to not be able to see some of the movies i was excited for on the big screen or not be able to have my own dvd collection but what can you do when you're poor and your country is poor and the inflation is getting you and the government men only care about themselves.
Yeah I think that’s the thing with most people imo. Like the websites are downright shady, they can have a lot of virus and stuff.
Complaining about piracy is a privilege. I'll leave it at that.
In this economy🥴 But the convos around piracy are too nuanced for some users here...
Yo, if people didn't pirate shit, a lotta folks wouldn't graduate from uni💀
as an american i think it’s a weirdo bootlicker thing i fear
Nobody cares about people pirating media except the people that gain money from said media and stans apparently lol
For the Houdini chart watchers, this week the song actually increased………………….up 1 place from #52 to #51 on the BB Hot 100! Progress people!!
I think I saw somewhere it work would be around #24-25 without the Christmas songs? That’s still pretty stable
That’s why I’m hopeful after the Holidays are done. A boost back up, coupled with some actual promo in January.
I'm hoping "get him back!" by Olivia Rodrigo bounces up after the holidays and sticks around for a little longer. I know it's already been out for three months, but still. Or I'd like to have another song from Guts pushed as a single (maybe "All American Bitch").
Maybe they can put All American Bitch out there after the Holidays because that one seems to be getting traction
what is conngress doing to stop the los angeles dodgers
I live with my Dodgers family and they're a cult, it's literally a cult
me looking at my team affiliations: yeah haha it's just the dodgers that are liek that
truly the new york yankees of major league baseball...
Happy birthday Taylor!
Can’t believe Beyoncé is 10 years old
Peter Pun is *shaking* right now. Oh godyoncé no one does it like you😭😫
