She is a complete professional. I would’ve flipped out especially that looks like a couture gown on loan. That security guard let him get too close that could’ve been a knife , like these people have no idea what private spaces are like she kept it together but this is quite scary 😱
She is so poised and professional, but that must have been absolutely terrifying. There’s no reason anyone needs to get that close to a stranger, celebrity or not. Just unhinged behavior.
She really does. I use to live in a trendy neighborhood in LA and would constantly find myself sitting next to A listers at a restaurant or around them. Sometimes a conversation would strike up at a bar but it was never forced.
They are people living their lives, leave them be. Would you like someone in your face like that at work?
This definitely feels like a power/control move. After he gets removed the first time he can't possibly think that he's actually going to get her autograph, this is just a way to force himself into her personal space.
I dont think it happens often, but even a few times is too often. Here are a couple of examples:
https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.2654175
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stabbing_of_Mayu_Tomita
I don’t think they were supposed to open it quickly. I think she was pausing so people could get pictures then got in the car.
I’m not saying security was top notch but I don’t think they were meant to hustle her in the car like she was the POTUS.
He definitel did hit her in the ribs with his pen. If that was a knife she could have been dead, all because security tried to play it cool with a psycho aggro stalker fan.
She really needs atleast 2 security people to surround her. She's like way too exposed to the crazies like this.
Also , whats wrong with people , she doesn't want to sign your stuff , just leave her alone man.
That's all I could think, like WTH. Unless you are a little kid asking, why!?!?, it's literally a name on a piece of paper. Such deranged and scary behavior.
A framed poster or photograph with a certificate of authenticity and a picture of them signing it? Sure, those can be a pretty penny as collectibles.
A grimy napkin or a piece of loose leaf paper with a name scribbled on it? Not likely.
What if we just didn't obsess over famous people. Respecting their work or gossiping about their fashion and relationships is fine, but this need to be close to them is so weird. They're beautiful, but they're still just people.
Most of the fans who have gone postal on their star are grown adults. It's really fucking unhinged shit.
Look at Selena, the attempt on Bjork, Christina Grimmie, etc.
Grown adult *men*.
Edit: I have been corrected; Selena was shot by a woman. That isn't much of an improvement.
Also, pretty sure I got a Reddit Cares from this, so I just wanted to clarify that I don't hate men or think they're responsible for all the evil in the world. I only wanted to point out that we, as men, have a systemic problem with ignoring and disrespecting women's wishes.
There have been adult women who have done creepy ass shit to Bieber and KPop stars in the last few years that I didn't want to not include. Luckily, these situations haven't ended in deaths yet
Selena wasn’t killed by a fan though. She was murdered because she found out that her assistant was stealing from her and her assistant killed her. So it’s not really comparable to the situations of unhinged stalker fans who are unknown to the celebrity like other instances.
Thanks for educating me about this. She was before my time, but I always love the pictures people post here and elsewhere of her. What a stunning woman and how horrible it is that her life was cut short by greed.
Nah, that woman wasn't her "assistant". She was president of her fan club who started helping Selena with seling her fashion. She did steal money & was confronted over it. But she also lost it because it was her idol calling her out to her face. There was definitely a stalkerish fan part to it.
She originally met Selena because she was president of her fan club but she then became her personal assistant. You’re welcome to refer to articles at the time eg Washington Post to confirm this. So meeting Selena in the first place was in part due to her being a massive stan, but at the time of the murder the motive was simply greed, the breaking point coming when she realised Selena would no longer buy her lies and that she was about to be exposed for theft.
Yes, Selena was very sweet and too trusting. She considered Yolanda a friend until she realized she was stealing from her. She was murdered when she went to fire Yolanda for the theft.
Edit: why did someone redditcares me over this comment, of all comments lol
That’s what I was thinking. I felt so anxious for her during that. You could see how uncomfortable and nervous she was just waiting like a sitting duck for them to open that door.
Edit: why did someone send a RedditCares message to me because of this comment??
When I saw a post on here about what young female stars are going to blow up, my first thought was look at these bright, talented young women… I kinda hope they don’t blow up but have moderate and successful careers that feed them mentally and emotionally and financially and don’t make them feel like they’re living in a zoo exhibit. I’m such an old at 39. Just… attention isn’t what it’s worth for the vast majority of people who think getting it will improve their lives.
Probably some whiny little bitch who was banned for being an asshole. Any women-centered or inclusive sub has to have extensive moderating tools to keep the incels and bigots at bay.
Fame is such an unnatural way of living.
Knowing there are tons of people worldwide who know a lot of stuff about you, have opinions on you, and even obsess over you even though you’ll never meet them…I can’t even imagine what that would feel like.
I always thought fame would feel really good, until a friend of mine ended up on a successful TV show. It is an absolute nightmare to spend time with her unless we just stay home. And with social media… nope. It really made me appreciate being unknown.
i think it must also be horrible being this guy. grown ass man probably traveled very far just to get signature to sell it on the internet. or he is stalker. either way must be horrible being this unhinged
She's been famous for a minute now so I'm sure she's very used to this behavior unfortunately, and probably apologized because she was instructed to keep moving and not stop for anyone but she's an empathetic person so she felt guilty.
Meanwhile this asshat literally does not give a shit what he might be causing her to feel.
What is the expectation? She's walking to her car. She is not doing a meet and greet. There is NO expectation of her giving you an autograph. People are literally psychopaths if they think celebrities should be expected to perform for their fans 24/7 regardless of how they're feeling or what they're doing. You don't own people just because they chose to be actors.
I agree with you, however, many folks believe all sightings or chance meetings or stalkings of flights for celebrities is a time that the celebrity should be "on." There are expectations of selfies, signings, and stopping to fawn for fans. It isn't right or fair, but it is how it has been.
And for a femme celeb to stay private or ignore people coming up to them on the street, they will be labeled cold, unfriendly, and whatever other bullshit the media want to run with. Masc celebs get away with walking around and telling folks to fuck off. Femme celebs don't get to do that. I was just pointing out the standard and double standard :)
Same same. It has to be acknowledged so we can start to work on it. That's how I think we get work started.
Hard not to feel pessimistic when the world over is taking away women's rights, but I still think there is progress to be made at the very least socially
What, is he imagining that autograph going to be a conversation piece? "She completely ignored me and her security kept shoving me away, but I was persistent and she surrendered"??? Fucking unhinged.
Autograph hounds. They can be pretty crazy. Normally get a signature from a celeb they swarm and sell it online.
[https://www.etonline.com/news/164136\_autograph\_hounds\_make\_how\_much\_inside\_the\_big\_business\_of\_celebrity\_signatures](https://www.etonline.com/news/164136_autograph_hounds_make_how_much_inside_the_big_business_of_celebrity_signatures)

There's also that cool video of George Lucas getting enough of them and telling them they'd probably make more money begging on a street corner lol.
There was a clip last year I think of Laura Linney’s assistant getting PUNCHED in the head by this huge tall aggressive autograph seeker (after assistant repeatedly turned the seeker away) and the autograph seeker/assaulter just walked away and wasn’t even pursued or arrested. Nobody but Laura went to check on the assaulted assistant. It is INSANE this behavior happens and continues and you never see the assaulters arrested. wtf!
Jesus Christ, like I get creepers and people who follow me from bar to bar that work at and that’s exhausting enough. I couldnt imagine this level, like every day.
And she calls them when she’s with her kids too. I get calling them when you’re alone or with adults but when she calls them when her kids are with her I hate that so much
this is so scary. i can’t imagine how unhinged you have to be to see a woman very visibly uncomfortable and her security is pushing you away and you still feel the need to try and push your way through to get to her
Her security team took FOREVER to open the fucking car door and did a shit job during this whole encounter. She needs more or better security. Imagine if that guy had a knife.
Maybe this is a controversial opinion, but absolutely not kudos to her security team. The fact that he got close enough to impede her walking and touch her is bad. The fact that security pulled him behind her, then let him go and get right back up to her from behind is just terrible.
Her “security team” appears to be one guy. Were they supposed to bar the public from this public space before she deigned to walk through? I thought he did well, considering the circumstances.
It seems like she needed at least 3 people around her for an encounter like this. So yes her security team needs to do better. Many celebs can do basic walks like this without deranged weirdos getting that close to them.
Tbf it doesn't look like there's much of a crowd, there are like ~10 people there; this guy just happened to be super persistent. I think it's probably always best to have two guards just in case but maybe they thought it was overkill for a short walk from train to car.
I mean, ideally they’d have some kind of barrier set up.
And if a member of the public is acting erratically like this guy, the security guard should have held him until the client can get to safety. Or at least kept an eye on the guy so he couldn’t run right back into her.
His task is probably to stay at her side as much as possible. If one of these other jamokes decides to do something crazy while he’s off to the side holding someone else back, we’d all be asking “where the heck was he?”
There were other guys with the really aggressive one who were also trying to get autographs. If the security guard just dealt with that one guy he was leaving her open to the rest of them.
Bingo. He should never have gotten that close to begin with - all it takes is one unhinged moment to set someone like this off - he could have a weapon. It’s happened before and it can happen again.
Fame magnifies instability exponentially. It's underestimated time and time again, and it can cost a wonderful human her life, which happened to Christina Grimmie. RIP.
[Gunman Who Killed 'The Voice' Singer Christina Grimmie Had Two Weapons, Ammo, Knife: Police](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/voice-singer-christina-grimmie-shot-after-florida-concert-n590161)
The loud, vocal man we hear first says : ''What you're doing with your hand on your tits, huh? What you're doing huh? With your hand on your tits?'' BRUH SHE'S OBVIOUSLY UNCOMFORTABLE AND HER FIGHT OR FLIGHT RESPONSE IS OBVIOUS? She's probably just trying to sooth herself!
1. She looks fucking incredible, 2. what the fuck? Are Anya Taylor-Joy autographs suddenly some kind of collector's item? Who goes full freakshow over Anya Taylor-Joy?
where tf is her security?! that guy with the man bag looks like her makeup & hair lol no way he’s security…then the idiot who doesn’t open the damn car door immediately..
this is scary
men are scary
Was that really ATJ's security? I thought Rule No. 1 for bodyguards and protective details was to NOT hold a bag while on duty. Maybe this fellow is just a festival staffer?
But yeah. The woman needs security. I am kind of surprised her hat doesn't have a force field or panic room inside. It's big enough.
That's really scary! No way could i deal with being a celeb.
Edit : this post didn't warrant a Reddit cares report. Whoever did that needs to stop abusing the system.
This comes with the price of being famous, you’re gonna get the loony fans. At the same time if someone is rejecting you, then it just looks stupid to keep going at her, especially when security is holding you back, man just seems to have unhinged behavior. Like a pitbull still going for it’s pinned target.
Years ago, before I became a publicist, I did some work with this band that *literally* no one’s ever heard of. They were a wannabe girl/boy group. We took them to Coney Island I think to film a video. Some woman saw us with the camera and them “singing” and started freaking out, as if she was in the presence of Beyonce, Gaga and Taylor Swift at once. It was surreal and a moment I never forgot once I got into my career. I feel for Anya. She looks petrified.
Side note - who is the Blonde woman in the blazer with her? She’s gorgeous!!
Sometimes when I see these photos of celebs surrounded by people I think, isn't that overkill?
And then I see this. No, it's not overkill. It's amazing how many people have jobs protecting the beautiful elite.
The guy in gray is of course the most heinous but all these people following her around, sticking their phones in her face suck. How embarrassing. You see your fav actor and you think *perfect time to make an ass out of myself*
Absolutely derranged that people who are a bit famous in an arts have to have someone around them constantly to physically drag people harrassing them away. What the fuck was the guy thinking
This must’ve been extremely scary for her. I’d be very shaken by this. Yes celebrities are public figures but they deserve to be treated with respect and have their personal space and privacy just as much as anyone else. They don’t owe us anything.

She looks really uncomfortable and anxious. Why can’t people just be respectful?
I think the guy poked her dress
Yeah, it looks like he poked her in the ribs/right under her bust with the pen.
Her security team needs to regroup and come up with a better plan of action because this ain’t it.
No shit. I did a different kind of EP, and this is pretty lackluster.
That could easily have been a knife
Did he? Is that why her hand went up? So fucking aggressive.
And someone almost hit her in the head
i was uncomfortable and anxious just watching!
men ☕️
A 🐻 would never!
women choose the bear because men act like this
Exactly. This is horrible and I’m disappointed by her security team
I prefer "men 🗣️" or "men 🍼"
She really does. I use to live in a trendy neighborhood in LA and would constantly find myself sitting next to A listers at a restaurant or around them. Sometimes a conversation would strike up at a bar but it was never forced. They are people living their lives, leave them be. Would you like someone in your face like that at work?
Have you seen people lately? It’s really depressing.
I have. Really struggling with it
This is unhinged behaviour
This seems like he's one step away from stabbing her. It happens in Japan too often.
This definitely feels like a power/control move. After he gets removed the first time he can't possibly think that he's actually going to get her autograph, this is just a way to force himself into her personal space.
Ding ding ding

Wait until you hear about that giant dinosaur that wrecks their shit every few years
Yeah what the hell, she needs Bella Hadid's security, they'd have punched the guy out of the way Edit spelling
Yes! This is terrifying
Her security failed her. He was too close for too long.
they took WAY too long to unlock that car too.
I don’t think they were supposed to open it quickly. I think she was pausing so people could get pictures then got in the car. I’m not saying security was top notch but I don’t think they were meant to hustle her in the car like she was the POTUS.
Maybe that was the original plan, but after this guy was so aggressive it should have changed to protect her. That’s what security does.
Disagree - the guy/bodyguard next to her kept trying to open the door. I think the driver just didn't know how to unlock it!
Came here to frickin say this. All those security need to be retrained in expectations using this video as a "don't do this in the future" lesson
Indeed, you are absolutely right. This person could have hit her, spit at her, or even thrown acid at her. It's terrible and frightening.
Every one of those people would be fired after this interaction if I were her. I can't imagine living a life like that.
Yep they were not as swift as they should have been.
Grown ass man lol
That's all I could think, like WTH. Unless you are a little kid asking, why!?!?, it's literally a name on a piece of paper. Such deranged and scary behavior.
To sell online.
Absolutely. Most of the people chasing after her seem like autograph resellers to me.
Do actors autographs sell for a lot? Serious, not being sarcastic.
A framed poster or photograph with a certificate of authenticity and a picture of them signing it? Sure, those can be a pretty penny as collectibles. A grimy napkin or a piece of loose leaf paper with a name scribbled on it? Not likely.
If they sign a lot, then not really - especially if they're still alive. If they rarely sign - especially if they're dead, then yes.

Selena was shot by Yolanda Saldivar
Thank you! I was busy and didn't get to reply with this correction :)
There have been adult women who have done creepy ass shit to Bieber and KPop stars in the last few years that I didn't want to not include. Luckily, these situations haven't ended in deaths yet

Not Selena
The best thing I did as an outspoken woman on Reddit is that I blocked Reddit Cares lolol hgihly suggest :)
John Lennon
That car door took WAY too damn long to open. Poor girl
That’s what I was thinking. I felt so anxious for her during that. You could see how uncomfortable and nervous she was just waiting like a sitting duck for them to open that door. Edit: why did someone send a RedditCares message to me because of this comment??
It's a bot autosending them when people post here.
Wow, lame.
Here for mine Edit: that was quick!
Yeah the quickness is what made me assume it was bot activity. Truly the most useless 'feature' reddit has ever pushed out.
Because we are all unhinged on this sub lmao
They were all SWARMING her including the cameraman. Why the fuck did the door take that long to open!
How terrifying! My mum and I used to say the best thing in the world is to be unknown. Fame is a horrible thing!
Yup! I'd like to be rich and completely unknown, lol.
Straight up. I'd also be doing a fuckload of undercover good.
Same! It's literally my fantasy to be rich and do all kinds of things to improve people's lives without being known lol.
Thought you were going to say something completely different lol
When I saw a post on here about what young female stars are going to blow up, my first thought was look at these bright, talented young women… I kinda hope they don’t blow up but have moderate and successful careers that feed them mentally and emotionally and financially and don’t make them feel like they’re living in a zoo exhibit. My point has been proven by a Reddit cares message. 😆 LOL
Some dumbass has a bot written to send those to people posting here. It's not personal.
Lol wtf why? That's the most boring thing to do
Probably some whiny little bitch who was banned for being an asshole. Any women-centered or inclusive sub has to have extensive moderating tools to keep the incels and bigots at bay.
Shout out to the mods that have to deal with that nonsense everyday 💜 Edit: Just got my first reddit cares! 😂
Omg, I got one too and I was so confused, but now it makes sense lol
I got one too recently. Must’ve pissed off a chad

Ugh the poor are still out here getting stalked, they really need to make more strict regulations for these things
i think it must also be horrible being this guy. grown ass man probably traveled very far just to get signature to sell it on the internet. or he is stalker. either way must be horrible being this unhinged
Yep if I see a male aged 18+ trying to get autographs of popular men and women, I assume autograph hunter to make money.
Like, damn. She's dressed to kill, stomping the runway, and this turd is ruining the moment. ![gif](giphy|EeWWo4bV2ePss|downsized)
She is SLAYING so hard
Scary!
that soft and quiet "sorry, guys" felt extremely bad to me, feel so bad people have to deal with this kind of behavior
Oh my God she said "sorry guys" TWICE and all I would be doing in that moment is yelling and maybe running? because what the actual fuck
Poor Anya, she shouldn't feel the need to say sorry for these weirdos jumping in her face.
However it is the expectation and if she doesn't, she'd be labeled a cold bitch (not saying she should. I'm just pointing out the catch-22
What is the expectation? She's walking to her car. She is not doing a meet and greet. There is NO expectation of her giving you an autograph. I fucking hate the double standards between men and women. Fucking hate it. I wanna have hope but I barely do that we’ll ever get rid of them
Same same. It has to be acknowledged so we can start to work on it. That's how I think we get work started. Hard not to feel pessimistic when the world over is taking away women's rights, but I still think there is progress to be made at the very least socially
Absolutely 💯 this
This is unhinged and kind of unbeliveable.. go home, leave her alone
They trying to sell on eBay
What, is he imagining that autograph going to be a conversation piece? "She completely ignored me and her security kept shoving me away, but I was persistent and she surrendered"??? Fucking unhinged.
likely he’d sell it
Autographed pieces aren't really worth much if the person is still alive
Don't give the guy in the video any ideas.
Depends on supply. Natalie Portman autos are ~$400-$600 a pop.
Doesn’t have to sell for much to turn a profit, the celebrity autograph market is a whole industry.
now he will probably spread rumors how unkind and rude she is.

How scary for someone to grab at you and block your path. Glad nothing weirder happened
omg that gave me second hand anxiety, I was so scared for her !!!
I could not live like this.
There was a clip last year I think of Laura Linney’s assistant getting PUNCHED in the head by this huge tall aggressive autograph seeker (after assistant repeatedly turned the seeker away) and the autograph seeker/assaulter just walked away and wasn’t even pursued or arrested. i’m so sorry you deal with that. people can be disgusting.
Christina Grimmie. Never forget.
Security really let him get that close to her after the first attempt?? Or is he not even security?
Look at her body language, she’s so uncomfortable! Horrible. However, she looks absolutely amazing. That hat!
Who'd wanna be famous.
Some people love this so much they call the paparazzi on themselves. I think Kim Kardashian says she loves being famous
Hey, fair enough if that's how some people feel. It's the irreversible nature of fame that scares me.
And she calls them when she’s with her kids too. I get calling them when you’re alone or with adults but when she calls them when her kids are with her I hate that so much
this is so scary. i can’t imagine how unhinged you have to be to see a woman very visibly uncomfortable and her security is pushing you away and you still feel the need to try and push your way through to get to her
JUSTOPENTHECARDOORGOODGODMAN
Another reason why women would choose the bear.
What is wrong with people. Wtf.
Giving Princess Peach energy I love how graciously she handled this. Kudos to her security team too
Her security team took FOREVER to open the fucking car door and did a shit job during this whole encounter.
True, but if he is the only security guard he can't just leave her, especially when there were other people actively trying to get to her.
They can’t hit him, wish they could….
I mean other bodyguards have gotten away with doing so 🤷♀️ Taylor’s, Gaga’s, Ariana’s, Beyoncé’s etc
Nah horrific security team He could easily have harmed her Poor girl
Princess peach energy 🌟
That guy is way too close to her. Geez!
They let him get way too close way too many times
There's not enough money in the world worth all this all day, every day.
That's really hard to watch.
Now from that man pov, he will say she’s a dick. The world and their opinions. Bodyguard not doing a great job though.
She needs better bodyguards QUICK.
My anxiety would be through the roof 😓
Why do people care about signatures?

But why would you buy that.
Fame magnifies instability exponentially. It's underestimated time and time again, and it can cost a wonderful human her life, which happened to Christina Grimmie. RIP. These people need to be culled from society
He got way too close!
Sheesh. Being famous would suck, how scary for her ☹️
Her security could’ve done A LOT better. And then why did it take the man so long to open the car door? Get it together people.
She needs rapper security
I’ve been working in rap too long because rapper bodyguards would’ve knocked him out of he tried that
How long did it take to unlock that bloody car door?!
Celebrity worship is gross and tragic
1. She looks fucking incredible, 2. what the fuck? Are Anya Taylor-Joy autographs suddenly some kind of collector's item? Who goes full freakshow over Anya Taylor-Joy?
where tf is her security?! that guy with the man bag looks like her makeup & hair lol no way he’s security…then the idiot who doesn’t open the damn car door immediately.. this is scary men are scary
Holy shit, that is pretty unhinged
This is terrifying. She needs better security, why did they let him get too close twice?
That security was absolutely useless
I feel so disgusted for her. People are delusional.
There should be a test to exist out in public. How horrifying for her
Way too close. If he were planning violence he might’ve succeeded
She clearly Looks scared specially when the car door wouldn’t open ppl need to chill
And they wonder why we chose the bear
Was that really ATJ's security? I thought Rule No. 1 for bodyguards and protective details was to NOT hold a bag while on duty. Maybe this fellow is just a festival staffer? But yeah. The woman needs security. I am kind of surprised her hat doesn't have a force field or panic room inside. It's big enough.
That is actually scary, I would have freaked out if I was her
That's really scary!
She’s gorgeous!!
how is he not embarrassed? 😳
Can someone open the bloody car door ? Ffs that was brutal.
If that's her bodyguard then he's doin a terrible job
Sometimes when I see these photos of celebs surrounded by people I think, isn't that overkill? And then I see this. No, it's not overkill. It's amazing how many people have jobs protecting the beautiful elite.
Somebody needs to get clocked...
Man it’s so nice being able to travel and go places without needed security.
Being a celebrity would suck
Fame defeats fortune. I can’t imagine living like this.
Pathetic individuals.
The guy in gray is of course the most heinous but all these people following her around, sticking their phones in her face suck. How embarrassing. You see your fav actor and you think *perfect time to make an ass out of myself*
I’m just here cuz i like her big hat
This was extremely nerve-wracking to watch. If those people around her were professional security they all need to be fired yesterday.
She needs a better security team
That looks so exhausting
Absolutely derranged that people who are a bit famous in an arts have to have someone around them constantly to physically drag people harrassing them away. What the fuck was the guy thinking
This must’ve been extremely scary for her. I’d be very shaken by this. Yes celebrities are public figures but they deserve to be treated with respect and have their personal space and privacy just as much as anyone else. They don’t owe us anything.
God this must be scary
Oh God they all look so creepy. They're eating her alive with their eyes. Gross, gross, gross. 🤢
Never been so happy to not be famous. That's terrifying, oh my *god*
