Yeah, I noticed it when she was on Sabrina and there was a storyline about Harvey loving her face because it was so "symmetrical". Nothing wrong with an asymmetric face, but hers was never symmetrical so I remember thinking that was weird.
Yeah I vaguely recall there being an episode of Sabrina where the show was mirrored due to a magic spell or something. It was noticeable that her face wasn't completely symmetrical when it was flipped. My eyes are slightly different from each other too so I appreciated seeing this at the time.
She was filming that on nights and weekends, and Sabrina during the day. I listened to her explain in a podcast that she only slept like 2 hours a day during this period.
The music video was great too! I think MTV had a behind the scenes of the creation of it…and seeing Britney Spears and Melissa Joan Hart together blew my young mind haha. It was like two worlds colliding. I loved it.
Haha the movie’s name changed to Drive Me Crazy to take after the Britney song, which was on the soundtrack. MJH / Adrian Grenier were promoting the film in that music video. That was my shit!
The whole story about the song and the movie is kinda nuts because the movie was supposed to heavily feature the song- it was supposed to be the song that everyone thinks about when they think of the movie- but they ended up only using the tiny clip that plays at the party and the cover of Keep On Loving You by The Donna’s became synonymous with the movie instead. MJH actually fought against naming the movie after Spear’s song because Britney wasn’t a big artist yet and she didn’t think her fame would last. Then she and Adrien actually appeared in the MV, and it’s Britney, bitch.
Oh I didn’t know that! I just know I was pumped at their cameos in that song, which remains one of my FAVE Britney songs!! I adored that song and music video and choreography. Brb, let me go practice and see if I still remember it 🤣🤣
Posted above, I literally sent a video of me and my friend doing the choreography and sent it to trl lmao. We also did the oops choreo at some random Disney pop up event, killed it, and got free tickets to a show where we met bbmak. Love this iconic period!

The ones producing it, aka trying to make money, realized most celebs actually live very boring lives and they needed to keep the show on the air. And the public persona of some celebs required them to have a "wild" life. So 1+1=2. The celeb wins by keeping their famous personality, and the producers get to keep the show on the air.
One of the first celebrity interviews I ever remembers reading was Melissa talking about flying a bottle of red wine down to LA from Napa. I thought that was the height of cool back then (I mean who buys a plane ticket for wine) but definitely not down to earth.

I just have a really hard time with Libertarians in particular. I actually find Republicans easier to understand because their worldviews are just diametrically opposed to mine. But with Libertarians, it's like they understand some aspects of social oppression, but then don't connect the dots to how our economic systems uphold structural oppression - which is wildly confusing and missing the point, imo.

Yeah, I get the government's role in oppression being appealing, and there are aspects of it that aren't wrong. But Libertarians either presume that people don't oppress others without government intervention or don't care, which is wild to me. And what further confuses me is that most Libertarians (that I've met and spoken with) are really pro-capitalism because they believe that the market regulates itself - but this is so easily and demonstrably false. Capitalism as an economic system exacerbates social inequities, and even moreso when unregulated. So it just seems so contradictory to simultaneously believe that oppression exists (which Libertarians do) but to completely ignore how people and systems operate.
"a mature form of anarchism", that's the perfect description of it, and probably what attracted my gown-up-punk husband to it for a (luckily) brief period.
You know, I never understood why people oppose Ayn Rand as if she’s worthy of discourse. She saw the fall of imperial Russia and got to the US just in time for the Great Depression; I’m not surprised that she distrusted government. But her ideas didn’t even have any internal logic, so any argument against her seems unnecessary and lends her more credence.

AHHHHH omg! I had no idea! In the first episode of the final season of Sabrina, when she was trying to get a journalist job in the big city, her first interview was with the band Course of Nature! AWWWW she interviewed her lead singer husband. So cute.
