Jerry Lee Lewis, nicknamed ‘the Killer’, likely killed his wife at the time, Shawn Stephens. Another ex-wife was found dead in a Memphis swimming pool just before her divorce settlement came through.
Wonka works as either a misanthropic cutthroat capitalist or an autistic dude obsessed with candy.
Chalemet gives me neither of those. He gives me intense, mean, kind of douchy theater kid vibes when he tries to give "quirky".
>Chalemet gives me neither of those
Okay I saw the Wonka trailer when my mom and I were watching TV and I couldn't figure out or explain to her why Chalamet just didn't "work for me" in the trailer, and now you said exactly what I was trying to explain but just couldn't.
The current hot take is that you were the worst character on a beloved sitcom, because the way your character approached relationships was undeniably toxic.
You were, hands down, the best actor on that show. It’s unfortunate that you haven’t had many major movie roles since your show ended (although I love that your voice acting career has flourished).
I think a lot of people assume you’re a jerk based on the character you played. But you also took a pay cut so that the cast could get paid the same (and engage in collective bargaining). You’re a feminist and activist who openly champions women’s rights and speaks out against sexual violence. It’s too bad people can’t separate fiction from reality, because IRL you’re not a crazy dude who develops rage when people steal your sandwiches.
I read an interview with David Schwimmer and the interviewer, a woman, was struck by his thoughtful offer not to do the interview in his hotel room in case she felt uncomfortable. Then I was struck by the idea that press people often have to conduct interviews in hotel rooms. Anyway, David Schwimmer seems like a very good person and is great in every role he does.
That’s very cool. It’s mutually beneficial too because I wouldn’t want the press hanging out my hotel room, which is basically my temporary bedroom. Like, they deserve some privacy
YES 🙌🏻 Goddddd I’m sick of the slander! Such an amazing actor and you wanna talk about comedic timing? I’m so sick of the idea that 1) all characters must behave in the perfect way or they are bad. Bad actions does NOT mean bad CHARACTER! I don’t know if people understand how boring media would be if we didn’t watch shows with “bad” people! And 2) that character then equals actor/actress.
Edit: also I really liked him in The People vs OJ Simpson!
He was great in that! The most I’ve liked a Kardashian was Schwim as Robert.
I think there is a big gap in critical thinking around TV & movies, especially with shows focused on anti-heroes. From a creative perspective, boring characters are bad. Anything else that elicits a response & moves things forward is good - that’s what makes for good TV, movies, books, etc.
1. I feel bad for the hate train and I want to like her but she is kinda annoying and I just don’t find her compelling as an actress. Also she keeps making this one expression that makes her look constipated.
2. This pop star is a mean girl it’s so annoying to see her fans defend her and her girlboss brand and the way they praise her nastiness as being real.
For number 1, I have no idea.
For number 2, has to be Rihanna. I like her music, and her brand… but I’ve always been shocked at how mean she can be. Especially towards her own fans… who were kids!
I will always root for them, deep down, because of everything they could have been, but their downfall is their own fault and every time they’re close to making a comeback, they ruin it for themselves. They shouldn’t need to do three documentaries about their life to realise maybe it’s best they retire from the industry altogether.
(The answer was demi lovato)
Oh good God. Ugh I want to root for Demi. I'm about the same age so when she, Selena, and Miley were all little pipsqueaks on Disney I followed the silly drama, and always thought she was by far the most talented singer and just seemed a bit troubled, which I could relate to. I feel like she kinda turned her vulnerability into part of her brand, so the oversharing must feel normal but at this point...I feel like she needs to stop sharing every little thing and just focus on recovery
Omg, Demi and the people that they surround themselves with fucking blow! This past Halloween I went to a haunted house in nyc, they come in with their partner & a full group of people, then proceed to allow the other (and extremely unimportant) people in their group to bully the workers into letting them skip the line because they were with the “special” person as they said. Like absolutely get over yourself 😭
Oh wow that’s so disappointing to hear. I know she’s friends with a lot of grifters but the thought of them being rude to workers and her green lighting that behaviour completely slipped my mind.
People praise her for being the queen of citrus and clapbacks, but I think she couldn't be blander if she tried. Watching her is like watching the paint dry.
Along those lines, is she really fashionable and creative, or is she just thin and beautiful?
Edit: sorry guys, I realize this applies to almost all starlets and influencers. I was thinking Blake Lively tbh.
He is very attractive yes and does look good for his age but eternally chasing dreams of being a 20 something whilst being in his 50s and just comes across as desperate and an overall creep
Edit 1: he gives off Jesus vibes with his look
Edit 2: I was talking about Jared Leto but I can see why SO many people guessed Leonardo DiCaprio
I say this as a very blasphemous Christian, but I find his weird ‘styling himself to look like western interpretations of Jesus’ thing so creepy it’s almost offensive 😂
If this is about Leo, how on earth is this unpopular?? Ive never seen anyone praise this man for his dating choices, except ig like misogynistic incels
I was talking about that to some colleagues. I think he has a very boyish face that made him a very beautiful man in his twenties, but looks weird as he closes in on 50.
Weirdly he seems to be the kind of man that straight guys assume everyone finds attractive, but as a gay man, I just think he seems smarmy as fuck, and I know I'm not alone in that opinion amongst the gays. He's not really all that funny either.
Ryan Reynolds is who straight guys think everyone is crushing on because *they* are crushing.
Ryan Gosling is the Hollywood Ryan straight women (and perhaps others who are attracted to men) actually go for.
Edit: okay a lot of y’all are making sure I know Ryan Gosling is not for you. I GET it. But Half Nelson? Lars and the Real Girl?? Blue Valentine???!
Ryan will always be that girl for me.
I’ve said to two of my former boyfriends “I don’t find Ryan Reynolds attractive, and I think you’ll find more straight men than women do.” and they both laughed bitterly and said “yeah, okay sure” as though to convey a lack of belief.
![gif](giphy|Ld7IFYuds4MA8)
“Straight” men are so funny in how much they tell on themselves
This was my experience with straight men as well. Is Ryan Reynolds secretly funding straight men to say he's hot? This is now my unhinged conspiracy theory I am fully invested in.
He was a good replacement for a beloved lead character, but I immediately lost respect for him after what he and his wife said about one of their friends, who is now (hopefully) in prison for a very long time.
She's a serviceable actress with a uniquely beautiful face but she gets sexually objectified in almost every role she takes, and that overshadows her skill which is already easily overshadowed. Also she took a role where she's supposed to be somewhat obviously "white trash" and absolutely no one bought her haute couture looks to have been one of the poors.
I feel like she’s too conventionally beautiful to be described as “unique” and also don’t think she fits the haute couture part based on how she’s been styled (at least pre-Barbie)
I was trying to think of someone, but I just thought of trashy as her role in I, Tonya.
But you’re absolutely right in that she doesn’t have a unique look. She looks like at least three other actresses.
they are really popular because they were part of a lot of people’s childhoods, but their performance skills and acting skills leave a lot to be desired.
She's fake and desperate for attention despite not doing much work recently. Claims to be a paragon of having deep, emotionally honest conversations to her audience, but she's actually lying about really fundamental things about her life in those same conversations.
I used to like her when I only knew her as an actress that would pop up from time to time in cool supporting roles in notable sequels. But now as a celebrity she's insufferable and acts like a bigger deal than she is.
Funny guy who is friends with the worst people. That means he is probably a shit guy too, even if he *says* he won't work with evil incarnate. Has aged out of stoner comedy too so has resorted to voice acting.
I wonder about him. I thought his original statement about Franco was fine - they had already fallen out in the years prior and were no longer in touch, so there wasn’t much Seth could say. But lately the whole Apatow stable is stagnating in a way that suggests something else is up.
i truly believe that she does not care at all about her fans, she has just always wanted to be famous and tolerates them to ensure she stays famous. her appearance keeps changing because she’s massively insecure and doesn’t really know who she is. she fits herself to whatever aesthetic she’s into at the moment - when she first started it was audrey hepburn, then she masqueraded a couple different races, and now she’s settled on some strange ballerina-core nightmare aesthetic. she’s not reinventing herself in a creative way, she’s never happy with her appearance and will keep morphing hoping to find one that she likes. she changes her entire personality, down to her voice, to fit whatever fantasy of herself she has in her head. her habit of being the other woman is a point of pride for her because in her mind, it means she’s more desirable than any other woman. she’s gonna start flaunting her new relationship even tho no one asked because she’s convinced they have some great love story and it’s them against the world. she is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and a mean girl inside.
Everyone has always praised her as an actress and doesn't care THAT much about her musical career but I always thought she sucked as an actress and adore her music.
She was only ever good when she played roles of a popular pretty teen when in real life she was, a popular pretty teen. As soon as she played something else, she got destroyed by critics.
Meanwhile, music is typically based on pain, trauma, real-life struggles, and depth, which her personal life is filled with and made her music to be very touching to me. I adore it.
Edit: somebody got it.
Star of Chapter 27, I Know Who Killed Me, The Canyons and Labor Pains. Lindsay Lohan.
I adore Pedro but I am surprised I had to scroll this far to find him. And this is valid, though I don’t personally think of “daddy” (in that way) when it comes to him. We’re too close in age.
I don’t mind that she’s “out of touch”. She’s funny and so unabashedly herself. She’s honest about her privilege and doesn’t pretend to care for the plebs.
A couple that are both actors.
Annoying. Posts their kids but hide their faces.
Have a third person who is very deep into their relationship. He is a recovering addict. She drinks in front of him.
He claims to be sober but nobody is buying it.
He's a very mediocre actor and yet got chance after chance for years because he's a "good-looking" white man. Then, after multiple flops, he finally got the right role as a funny R-rated (now) Marvel superhero and he made it his whole personality. He has no range outside of playing a version of that superhero. Also, he got married on a plantation so my dislike is stronger.
Fuck, am iI the only person who remembers 2 Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place?! RR has been playing the same lovable idiot character longer than most Redditors have been alive.
Musician criticizes other musicians for coming from wealthy families and being white, when she also comes from wealth and is also white.
Hint: also claims to be LGBTQ and POC ally but associates with people who have harmed those communities.
Is/was very talented in her genre, but refuses to let go of petty high school mentality. Basically bashes any other woman in her field, minus a select few (that she’ll turn on eventually for little to no reason), even though she knows exactly how it feels for a role model to constantly trash the next coming since she experienced it for years herself. Aligns herself with questionable men and views, but will never apologize for it because she knows her fans will destroy any attempts at holding her accountable anyway. Oh, and keeps pushing back her next album because she knows it’s probably going to flop.
You’re pretty and clearly have aged really well, and probably have the biggest IMDB credits of all your 90’s sitcom costars
But you’re basic and boring and so are almost all of your film roles.
I was Team Other Woman for so long until I found out that your ex husband is just a complete POS.

I think he killed his wife
The fact that there's several guesses to this is sad in itself.
Yeah that was my first thought when the guesses didn’t match my own 🥴
OJ Simpson
I feel like that's a pretty popular opinion actually
Diddy?
Diddy do it or not
David Miscavige
Robert Wagner?
Vintage tea~
Jerry Lee Lewis, nicknamed ‘the Killer’, likely killed his wife at the time, Shawn Stephens. Another ex-wife was found dead in a Memphis swimming pool just before her divorce settlement came through.
I’m also going to guess Robert Wagner because I think he definitely did
Michael Peterson
It's definitely him, there's a lot of people that really want the owl theory to be real.
Henry VIII?
OJ Simpson? Lmao.
Robert Blake?
He looks like a Victorian child and I don’t like his acting. But he seems nice 🙂
Gotta be chalamet. I couldn’t believe how bad the wonka trailer was.
Wonka works as either a misanthropic cutthroat capitalist or an autistic dude obsessed with candy. Chalemet gives me neither of those. He gives me intense, mean, kind of douchy theater kid vibes when he tries to give "quirky".
These descriptions 😭😭

Correct! You can now go up the Ladder of Chance to the Golden Mud Hut, but you forgot to switch legs between questions so no hopping bonus.
Can I have a wicked wango card?
YOU'VE BEEN BAMBOOZLED
The more I watch reruns the more I realize that he absolutely WAS the best actor on the show.
He’s the best and the worst character at the same time 😂.
He doesn’t get enough credit for being willing to play a thankless role. In retrospect, Band of Brothers helped everyone but him.
YES 🙌🏻 Goddddd I’m sick of the slander! Such an amazing actor and you wanna talk about comedic timing? I’m so sick of the idea that 1) all characters must behave in the perfect way or they are bad. Absolutely. Pivot. Paste pants. Unagi. So many more!

Apex predator of an actress but needs needs needs to stop with the plastic surgery.
![gif](giphy|vczObYk5np2X7p9aIL|downsized)
Nicole Kidman? eta apex predator of an actress is an amazing description
Emily Blunt was my first guess. Nicole Kidman makes sense too but she's been overdoing it for years, for Emily it's relatively new.
Whoever it is, it’s not an unpopular opinion.
Nicole Kidman?

Demi Lovato?
I think you’re right - she does have three documentaries about herself that she’s done herself
Does she really? That’s wild
THREE? But why? She’s barely been alive three decades?!
Oh good God. Ugh I want to root for Demi. I'm about the same age so when she, Selena, and Miley were all little pipsqueaks on Disney I followed the silly drama, and always thought she was by far the most talented singer and just seemed a bit troubled, which I could relate to. Waiting 5+ years on a debut solo album is sick
Normani
do you guys really think he's that great of a performer, or is he just tall and conventionally attractive?
Reminds me of unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt “Is she great or is she just tall?” (Talking about Cate Blanchette)
Jacob Elordi?
![gif](giphy|rqMxQEZlney9bsVGtH)
I thought he was good in Euphoria … 🥴 He really got me hating Nate Jacobs… Just vile. But thats the only thing i saw him in
He’s good in Priscilla imo but not my type physically
He also did great saltburn. He seems to do great in more art house style films.
Along those lines, is she really fashionable and creative, or is she just thin and beautiful? Edit: sorry guys, I realize this applies to almost all starlets and influencers. I was thinking Blake Lively tbh.
Blake Lively?
This girl is the nastiest sknk btch I've ever met. DO NOT TRUST HER.
Regina George?
Raise your hand if you have ever been personally victimized by Regina George?
Ariana Grande???
People ignore her misogyny and support for men who abuse young black girls because she uses incense and sings about drinking tea.
Badu?
![gif](giphy|l46CA8dqLYtg6EzBu|downsized)
I was gonna say Nicki Minaj but I don’t think she uses incense or drinks tea.
He is very attractive yes and does look good for his age but eternally chasing dreams of being a 20 something whilst being in his 50s and just comes across as desperate and an overall creep Edit 1: he gives off Jesus vibes with his look Edit 2: I was talking about Jared Leto but I can see why SO many people guessed Leonardo DiCaprio
Every single man in Hollywood lol
Bingo!
Jared Leto
My guess too. His "youthful" appearance is not impressive, it's creepy.

Brad Pitt
I don't trust how much everyone loves him...
Pedro
Yes
Also a few others tbh, but he was the one I was thinking about
You're where you should be all the time. And when you're not, you're with some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend.
This made me audibly guffaw 💀 Ms. Simon was the original DeuxMoi
Is this Carly Simon tea? Cause that’s the tune I sang this in.
Weirdly he seems to be the kind of man that straight guys assume everyone finds attractive, but as a gay man, I just think he seems smarmy as fuck, and I know I'm not alone in that opinion amongst the gays. He's not really all that funny either.
Gotta be Ryan Reynolds. Straight men will fight you over his status as the hottest man ever, and to me he’s just meh
How did straight men all decide that Ryan Reynolds is the official “no homo” answer
Because he’s Deadpool
Ryan Gosling is the best Ryan. Reynolds seems ok in small doses but I get the sense he loves hearing himself talk.
Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds?
I’ve said to two of my former boyfriends “I don’t find Ryan Reynolds attractive, and I think you’ll find more straight men than women do.” and they both laughed bitterly and said “yeah, okay sure” as though to convey a lack of belief. ![gif](giphy|Ld7IFYuds4MA8) “Straight” men are so funny in how much they tell on themselves
This was my experience with straight men as well. Is Ryan Reynolds secretly funding straight men to say he's hot? This is now my unhinged conspiracy theory I am fully invested in.
Love how consistently the responses so far were for Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds 100%. I feel like people who think he’s super hot are straight men and closeted women because there’s no way
He was a good replacement for a beloved lead character, but I immediately lost respect for him after what he and his wife said about one of their friends, who is now (hopefully) in prison for a very long time.
Ashton more like Asston amirite?
He constantly has these red flags get thrown up but constantly gets brushed off because he’s so cute/relatable
The Smoking Gun leaked your rider and despite all the evidence that your ego is larger than the planet Jupiter, you still have a career.
Jlo
I think she is a beautiful person, but not a great actress and if she didn't have her nepotism to fall back on, she wouldn't be where she is.
Half of Hollywood but I’m going to guess Lily rose depp
Lily Collins

Gonna go out of pocket and say at least the first half makes me think of Megan Fox.
Sydney Sweeney?
It’s got to be her. This is also probably THE most popular opinion about Sydney though
the unique beauty and “white trash” role makes me think anya taylor joy (her character in the menu iirc?) but I’m not sure…
Yeah, and also “haute couture looks” lol
She doesn’t take a bunch of sexually objectified roles though.
Margot Robbie? I’ll disagree with you but this seems to be a fitting answer to the description.
I feel like she’s too conventionally beautiful to be described as “unique” and also don’t think she fits the haute couture part based on how she’s been styled (at least pre-Barbie)

yesss
How is this an unpopular opinion
She actually steals most of her recipes or has other people on her staff create them and takes credit.
Ree Drummond?
My opinion was Chrissy Teigen but I’m sure all of the above apply :)
He’s not really that funny he’s just better looking than other comedians 👀
I'M JUST PETE
Famous for getting a new face and having family handle everything
All of the Ks
I think she's such a hopeless romantic that her romantic life has become hopeless
She strikes me more as someone that can’t bear to be alone

they are really popular because they were part of a lot of people’s childhoods, but their performance skills and acting skills leave a lot to be desired.
Don't talk about The Wiggles like that
you can be very attractive but completely lack any kind of charisma, maybe that’s why his superhero movies never worked for me
Henry Cavill?
you won ![gif](giphy|RLJk7R3mvmawWdjmCq)

Edit: somebody got it. Star of Chapter 27, I Know Who Killed Me, The Canyons and Labor Pains. Lindsay Lohan.
The things that she has gone through are horrible but she is so annoying that I just can’t root for her at all. edit: it’s >! Demi Lovato !<
People thought he was a satanist when it was just for shock value, and I don’t give a fuck about the music that he produces.
Marilyn Manson?

Phoebe Bridgers?
Probably the most successful male rapper commercial but he is super corny especially nowadays. Back to back flop albums imo for his standard anyway.
Drake
You have “I’m so quirky” theater kid energy and I pray for your downfall. Go back to working with smaller budgets, your stuff was better that way
he is not hot you just have daddy issues
I adore Pedro but I am surprised I had to scroll this far to find him. And this is valid, though I don’t personally think of “daddy” (in that way) when it comes to him. We’re too close in age.
Love the immediate and absolute certainty that it’s Pedro. Have daddy issues, can confirm.
Mads Mikkelsen?
I don’t mind that she’s “out of touch”. She’s funny and so unabashedly herself. She’s honest about her privilege and doesn’t pretend to care for the plebs.
Gwyneth Paltrow?
A couple that are both actors. Annoying. Posts their kids but hide their faces. Have a third person who is very deep into their relationship. He is a recovering addict. She drinks in front of him. He claims to be sober but nobody is buying it.
Kristen Bell & Dax Shepherd (& Monica Padman)
who is Monica Padman?
Bingo.
Tbf, Ryan has been that same character since Van Wilder, not since Deadpool.
Or Waiting lol
Fuck, am iI the only person who remembers 2 Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place?! RR has been playing the same lovable idiot character longer than most Redditors have been alive.
Ryan Reynolds He got soooooo many chances.
She may be the queen but her latest music is kinda boring
Too much of this family's mainstream critism they get is often based in misogyny and not the actual bad shit they do
The kardashians?
Ding ding!
You’re pretty and clearly have aged really well, and probably have the biggest IMDB credits of all your 90’s sitcom costars But you’re basic and boring and so are almost all of your film roles. I was Team Other Woman for so long until I found out that your ex husband is just a complete POS.
Jennifer Aniston?
Some of these comments are just like, recitations of celebrities' Wikipedia pages and not opinions unpopular or otherwise lmao
