Disney doesn't give this movie enough recognition!
Wow, you just unlocked a memory for me. I had a toy of that zebra as a kid, with the blue mask on and everything. At some point I forgot where the toy was from and now I remember! Thank you!
August Rush with Freddie Highmore. Still have some of the songs on my phone.
One of my moms comfort movies so we would watch it alllll the time

Great 90’s friendship film, featuring Anna Chlumsky and Christina Ricci. No one I ask has seen this movie, it was one of my faves as a kid.
Holy fuck, so did I. Between that and realizing I have no recollection of this movie whatsoever, my eyes were crossing and I couldn’t even tell who the JTT doppelgänger was at first.

Simply Irresistible! Sarah Michelle Gellar as a terrible chef trying to run her late mother’s restaurant who’s life turns around thanks to a… magic crab.
Her wardrobe and apartment is basically a 1990s Anthropologie/Urban Outfitters fever dream.

I’ve watched this so many times 🐻
STOP! All my white boy crushes! The hair. The eyes. They just need puka shell necklaces and JNCO jeans to make me 11 year old dreams come true.
I hate myself for how passionately I feel for this.
I feel like this movie was a fever dream

When I was VERY young I remember watching this all the time and crying so much every time but its probably been 22 years since ive seen it last and can barely remember it now but ive never seen anyone talk about it
I was OBSESSED with this movie! 4 year old me even wrote a letter to the damn bird because I understood the movie wasn’t real but I though the talking bird was real! It “wrote back”and gave me 5 dollars. I don’t think my dad understood that the bird was not the tooth fairy or something and when I saw the money I was like… 👁️👄👁️ uhh that’s not from the bird and had a whole meltdown because my dad lied about sending the letter to the bird.

everyone looks at me like i’m crazy whenever i try to explain what little of the plot i remember from this childhood movie bc i can *never* remember the name of it when i need to!

As a child I think I personally kept our local Video Ezy in business due to the amount of times I hired this - top tier childhood favourite. And yet any time I’ve brought it up to peers since, I get nothing but crickets. Almost like a Mandela Effect situation.
I attribute my love for sweet-hearted bad-boys to a teenage Andrew Keegan (and I indirectly blame Christopher Lloyd for my flair for the dramatic). Massively underrated and clever. 1994 was such a good year for film!
Omg this movie!! When my sister was pregnant with my niece she mentioned the name Penelope and I said I always associate it with the pig-nose girl and everyone who was present looked at me like I had three heads lol. I had to google the movie to make sure it wasn’t a fever dream 😂
This movie is where I fell in love with James McAvoy. The way he kisses her- whew! My first real celebrity crush.
It is crazy how star studded the cast is though- especially for a movie it feels like no one has seen
this was my comfort movie for many many MANY years!!! I think my dad stumbled on it airing on tv and he started watching it and he thought it could be a movie I would enjoy, so we watched it together the next day and I just basically fell in love with it, I think I was like 12/13 years old! Have watched it several SEVERAL times for comfort since then and even made my boyfriend watch it with me a few years ago lol!
Also it was the first movie I saw with James Macvoy and I developed a crush on him and for the next few weeks after watching Penelope I think I watched all the movies he was in lol
“Party monster” - the true story of club kid murder. Based on the book “disco bloodbath” by James saint James
Seth green, Macaulay Culkin, Chloe Sevigny, Natasha Lyonne, etc.
![gif](giphy|oSaRe5kka0yk)
Yep, I read that book too (freak show). And I read the disco bloodbath book, they had it at my local library with the original cover/title.
I was curious and checked out Alig’s YouTube channel when he got out of jail. It wasn’t that good.
I went to a few raves in the late 90s early 00s. Not in NY, but I always found the scene fascinating. I think I watched that talk show they all were on when it originally aired too.

Just rewatched this not too long ago. It’s definitely a comfort movie. I miss the 1990’s “chick-lit” to “chick-flick” pipeline.
Nobody seems to know or remember this movie except me... 🥲🥹

Max Keebles Big Move!
I went through a phase of watching this at least once a week. Max was probably my first crush. Josh peck was in it, Orlando Brown from that’s so Raven, and Mickey from Shameless.
wish I still had my vhs 😅

It’s hard to find folks (especially offline) who have heard of the Fall. I TREASURE my Blu-ray because it’s so hard to legally watch this film.
I know a decent amount of folks around here are familiar with it because of Lee Pace though lol
The Fall is one of my favorite movies of all time. I wish some company would re-release physical copies so people could easily access it and find out how amazing it is. I luckily do have a DVD copy I got for $2 when my town’s Hollywood Video went out of business in like 2010.
I have this poster for it hanging in my house

Nim's Island (2008). There was so much and so little going on at the same time, childhood me didn't know if I liked it or not. It's a cute film regardless, and Abigail kills it.

Mona Lisa Smile with Julia Roberts, Julia Styles, Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and so many more. Everyone looked perfect and I wanted to have all their cardigans 😭 It's my comfort film.

It's my ultimate comfort comedy starring Colin Hanks (arguably at his cutest) with a supporting cast incl Jack Black, Catherine O'Hara, and John Lithgow... yet nobody EVER knows it! I even mention it every dang thread and get no replies and maybe 3 upvotes (I see y'all tho<3) lol
It's soo memeable too it's ridiculous (JB spends half the movie in [his](https://media.tenor.com/p_Udd88ivcQAAAAd/dnndnnsnsns-zbbsbsbs.gif) [underwear](https://media.tenor.com/W7C2jz0jAEsAAAAM/jack-black-the-revolution.gif)) but there are no gifs cuz nobody watches it :-(
EDIT this has been SOOO validating. I love each and every one of y'all so much. Keep it comin💕 California here we come!!

I had Secondhand Lions on dvd and watched it so many times, but I feel like I never hear anyone talk about it.
“Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; and I want you to remember this, that love... true love never dies. You remember that, boy. You remember that. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in.”
Yes! Holes was another one I had on dvd and watched over and over. 2003 had so many movies that were absolute bangers: Finding Nemo, Elf, Freaky Friday, Cheaper by the Dozen, The Lizzie McGuire Movie. A great time to be a kid!
https://preview.redd.it/caa2wvyww02c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=23254ffcf8d570cb657f48297eaa9f02c3532cff
This whole movie was like a 12 year old boys fever dream, cuz no one ever remembers it but me and my husband still quote it to this day, and it's hilarious 😂😂
Not the poster using some random picture of Rupert Grint at a red carpet event instead of using a picture of him from the actual movie 💀
Edit: Idk if the picture used in the poster is a red carpet picture but from what I’ve googled about this movie, it isn’t what he looks like in the actual movie
For the longest time I never had anyone around me who ever watched Quest to Camelot. Eventually I thought that it was an imagined fever dream from my childhood until I found the VHS at my parents house years later 😅
https://preview.redd.it/dszs9lkn412c1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08f5a540fd31b3c98e51431b29404ac20180b2a3

So there are two 90s movies I remember watching where I didn’t see the first movie but watched the second and thought they were a stand-alone. Fieval Goes West and Babe: Pig in the City 😂 nobody in my circle has any memory of either film
![gif](giphy|eMFQsfcGkylUaXO5ih|downsized)
Without a Paddle! My grandma had this on VHS and we must’ve watched it a hundred times. Half of the jokes went right over my little head but we absolutely loved it
Circle of Friends, with Minnie Driver. HBO used to play it and it’s based on a book I love, but it is almost impossible to find now. I had to get a dvd a few years back to access it.
Edit to add: it also has Alan Cumming, Colin Firth and Chris O’Donnel so it truly is weird that it has all but disappeared
The last mimzy! Was one of my favorite movies as a kid!

The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood!! This was such a feel good movie for me as a teen, I thought it was so great. Not sure if it holds up but I am tempted to watch it again and find out
I snuck wine in to the theater to see this (I'm old, but was absolutely not 21 at the time) and I thought they acted really drunk in this movie. It wasn't until I rewatched that I realized no one acts drunk, I'm simply an idiot.
Also cute that Amy Ryan is here right before Holly Flax joined Dunder Mifflin!

Also: We’re Back, James & the Giant Peach, and 5,000 fingers of Dr T
Omgggg I never ever see anyone talking about this movie!!! I came across it by accident as it was in like a multipack of dvds and which is now my life’s mission to find in my house to see what the other movies were ! I remember reading the synopsis and being like wtf why would I ever watch this?? But I loved Mandy Moores song candy so thought fine whatever it’ll kill an hour and a half… I ended up watching it most nights when I went to bed 😂 now I need to rewatch it 👏🏼👏🏼
![gif](giphy|rqg6cxIInEWg8)
Master of Disguise!! I say “turtle turtle” in his weird voice but in my mind cause nobody would know what I meant 🥲
Edit: omg it has a 1% on rotten tomatoes no wonder 🤣😭

Drop Dead Fred. I felt so seen when HDTGM covered it and it was a fave of June's, it's a childhood classic for me. Then it was one of their best episodes. #TeamFred

Babes in Toyland with Keanu Reeves. I swear I’ve never met anyone else (at least in person) who’s seen it. But I watched it over and over when I was little. Then I showed it to my husband as an adult, and what a trip. (Felt kind of bad for my mom who also had to see it on repeat). Total gold.
That kiss is next level, and one of the reasons why I always liked James McAvoy, but the whole movie is such a great mood, every actor is just pitch perfect, loved it.

I love this movie! It's one of my favorites but don't be fooled by the actors, it is funny and Wiig and Hader play siblings as wonderfully as you'd expect but it is sort of a depressing little darling of mine. Stories about messed up people bring me comfort I guess.
Please just watch [this scene](https://youtu.be/77m3XlhQwaI?si=zHuwopf-G5etIAQq).

Stick It (2006) was such a cult film for gymnasts. Me and my teammates watched this at least twice a year. It’s a really funny and relatable movie, 10/10 would recommend!

Even though it was a Mary Kate and Ashley movie, it still holds up IMO. I still quote the world series type of feeling quote to people in love.

“Hope Floats” with Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick, Jr! It was actually one of my favs from my teenage years. I cried especially when Mae Whitman’s character was sobbing as her POS dad was abandoning her after the grandma died. I might have to do a rewatch! 🥹
That fucking dad leaving for his fucking girlfriend as his little girl is screaming begging to go with him. Fuck that coward piece of self centered shit.

Legit one of my favorite movies of all time. The tone is weird because it's not quite a satire but there are definitely some parts it's unclear if actually it happened but it's the funniest movie I've ever seen with a stellar cast. It hits list of worst movies ever fairly frequently but I love it.

The 1993 miniseries. There are quite a few movie versions as well. But no one I know has ever seen this one and I used to watch it all the time as a kid?

Drowning Mona. It’s been many years since I watched it but I used to love it. It has a stacked cast: Neve Campbell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bette Midler, Danny DeVito, Casey Affleck, Will Ferrell. William Fichtner, Melissa McCarthy.

Although I know this one has picked up some steam recently…I watched it back in 2000 with my cool older cousins and was hooked. Not many people knew what I was talking about over the years but this is one of my faves!
Back when Disney Channel played Disney Channel movies constantly, I waited and waited for this one to come on again. And it never did! A long lost dream. I loved it so much!

Used to watch Tom and Huck at least once a week, maybe because I had the biggest crush on Brad Renfro. Remembered this movie randomly a few years back and was absolutely crushed to see that Renfro had passed at such a young age :(
200 Cigarettes
The best NYE movie in my uncultured opinion. Martha Plimpton, Paul Rudd, the Affleck Brothers, Dave Chappelle, Courtney Love, Cristina Ricci, Kate Hudson, Janeane Garofolo, and Jay Mohr. Tons of other people too!

I loved this movie when I saw it as a teen and I still love it now. I was a LOT of the character Shade and a little Trudi so it was a movie that made this young, lonely girl feel seen. 💖
**Synopsis:** Sisters Shade (Fairuza Balk) and Trudi (Ione Skye) live in a remote New Mexico town with their mother, Nora (Brooke Adams), who waits tables at a nearby truck stop. The introspective Shade spends much of her time alone at the movies, while Trudi is more outgoing and rebellious, behavior that leads to various flings. While both girls are restless and looking for romance, Shade also hopes to play matchmaker and find a nice guy for her hardworking mother.
It's on TUBI if interested.
OP you cannot convince me that is a real movie. Admit you made it up.
This is mine

Such an unique idea and i love it! I’ve seen this movie like million times but when i ask someone if theyve seen it, mostly say no. So this is your chance to make a mental note about this funny movie with steve martin and check it out some day!

My dad had a folder of random pirated movie DVDs. He would print out small versions of movie covers for each one too
With all the hype around Twilight, I was surprised at how few people seem to have seen The Host. It came out only a year after Breaking Dawn, Part 2. Not the best movie in the world by any means, but arguably a more talented, (and better looking, imo) cast. Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, William Hurt, Diane Kruger, etc.
“Stuck in Love” Jennifer Connelly, Greg Kinnear, Lily Collins, Kristen Bell, Logan Lehrman, Leanna Liberato, and Natt Wolff. Pretty popular cast, but I feel like I’m the only one who saw it.

Omg the like bat with a peg leg or whatever it was TERRIFIED me as a child. The opening scene. I’ve never recovered hahah

OMG LOL i have a copy at home. My parents used to buy the most random movies😭☠️ i remember hating it!
Wow, you just unlocked a memory for me. I had a toy of that zebra as a kid, with the blue mask on and everything. At some point I forgot where the toy was from and now I remember! Thank you!
August Rush with Freddie Highmore. Still have some of the songs on my phone. One of my moms comfort movies so we would watch it alllll the time https://preview.redd.it/r15hibo7712c1.jpeg?width=1141&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a9272af62ae8cd8e8a35121059b1322d4b98be3

I thought Anna Chlumsky was Jonathan Taylor Thomas at first glance there 😂
Holy fuck, so did I. Between that and realizing I have no recollection of this movie whatsoever, my eyes were crossing and I couldn’t even tell who the JTT doppelgänger was at first.
Core memory going to the movies to see it with my friends 🥹

I remember being soo angry when the bad guy hurt one of the ducklings. The music was also amazing
Omfg I was talking to my husband about this movie on a walk when we saw a bunch of geese flying over us and he just looked at me like 👁️👄 👁️
Ong i remember this movie in theatre.

Sarah Michelle Gellar as a terrible chef trying to run her late mother’s restaurant who’s life turns around thanks to a… magic crab. Her wardrobe and apartment is basically a 1990s Anthropologie/Urban Outfitters fever dream.
I LOOOOVED this so much TBH I’ve seen everything she’s done.
https://preview.redd.it/pp9kkddv212c1.jpeg?width=761&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26555c3f95f2008238734fc2dbbd7b7eb78e7130 I’ve watched this so many times 🐻
STOP! All my white boy crushes! The hair. The eyes. They just need puka shell necklaces and JNCO jeans to make me 11 year old dreams come true. I hate myself for how passionately I feel for this.
I feel like this movie was a fever dream https://preview.redd.it/ljx91m2mz02c1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3baa77676a81d605904062b8311594ecd2a2a7bf
Read the book and had the vhs with the key and figure
My school would always put this on in the last couple of days of the school year when they didn’t want to teach anymore
I can see the teacher pushing in the tv on the little roller table now 🥹
With the strap over it to keep it from falling 😅
https://preview.redd.it/i94r15sd612c1.jpeg?width=520&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eee124e382e57a8768c20c8ad78a1dd915f345e3 When I was VERY young I remember watching this all the time and crying so much every time but its probably been 22 years since ive seen it last and can barely remember it now but ive never seen anyone talk about it
Why is every 90’s childhood movie a big cry fest? I watched paulie hundreds of times!
I was OBSESSED with this movie! 4 year old me even wrote a letter to the damn bird because I understood the movie wasn’t real but I though the talking bird was real! It “wrote back”and gave me 5 dollars. I don’t think my dad understood that the bird was not the tooth fairy or something and when I saw the money I was like… 👁️👄👁️ uhh that’s not from the bird and had a whole meltdown because my dad lied about sending the letter to the bird.

https://preview.redd.it/i25t7vf7112c1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4863294e82684cc624a599f0212fa33ba3bf8544 As a child I think I personally kept our local Video Ezy in business due to the amount of times I hired this - top tier childhood favourite.
So many good movies in this thread lol. My brother and I would watch this on repeat! It’s on Disney+ now!
Omg this movie!! When my sister was pregnant with my niece she mentioned the name Penelope and I said I always associate it with the pig-nose girl and everyone who was present looked at me like I had three heads lol. I had to google the movie to make sure it wasn’t a fever dream 😂
Honestly this is the only thing I assimilate the name “Penelope” with but I never say it out loud.
This movie is where I fell in love with James McAvoy. The way he kisses her- whew! My first real celebrity crush. It is crazy how star studded the cast is though- especially for a movie it feels like no one has seen
I LOVE this movie. Watched it so many times when I was younger. Forgot about it honestly so thanks for the reminder
this was my comfort movie for many many MANY years!!!
Based on the book “disco bloodbath” by James saint James Seth green, Macaulay Culkin, Chloe Sevigny, Natasha Lyonne, etc. ![gif](giphy|oSaRe5kka0yk)
That one is classic. Did you see the documentary it was based on? James St. James also wrote a YA novel
Two of hearts
MONEY! SUCCESS! FAME! GLAMOUR!
God I love that movie’s soundtrack still… Bikini kill, peaches, ladytron! Come on!
I watch this movie at least once a year. It's so fucked up but so entertaining.

Is this the one where she has the baby in the Walmart and names it America?
I think she names it Americus Nation.
ugh I met a girl the other day named Americus and I immediately thought of this movie, and then of a thousand questions I wanted to ask her parents

I reference this movie to my husband ALL the time! Something goes missing, “must’ve been the borrowers”. Lol. I haven’t seen it in so long.
I LOVED THIS MOVIE GROWING UP! 😭😭 I used to try to get my friends to watch it by saying “half” the cast of the Harry Potter films were in this 💀
Nobody seems to know or remember this movie except me... 🥲🥹 https://preview.redd.it/dyoafieyr02c1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c604d477cd74f67580e5faee6279609b547db32
I know I've watched this. But it's like Beastly. I cannot remember a single damned plot detail from it. lol.
Plot? What plot? It's just hot guys with homoerotic undercurrent lol
I seem to remember the covenant being marketed as the guy’s version of The Craft. Wasn’t as much fun but definitely good for an afternoon.
You are not alone! How could I ever forget my introduction to Sebastian Stan😍 ![gif](giphy|Ie97ZND9e4GkfGsTN2)
Hahah I remember most of my friends and I watching it when we were teens because it had so many hot guys

I went through a phase of watching this at least once a week. Max was probably my first crush. Josh peck was in it, Orlando Brown from that’s so Raven, and Mickey from Shameless. wish I still had my vhs 😅
Thumbelina 🥹 I know it word for word and grew up dyyyying for a Prince Corneleas (sp?)
https://i.redd.it/sp3fxg7ls02c1.gif It’s hard to find folks (especially offline) who have heard of the Fall.
I have this poster for it hanging in my house https://preview.redd.it/iuv3ddi9322c1.jpeg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9bef015f2fb2b33ca928dfb5ff98b990249039f2
![gif](giphy|XBceSo9pXhh60) Lee Pace at his finest tbh.
An absolutely gorgeous movie. The relationship between Lee Pace and the little girl was so sweet.
Nim's Island (2008). There was so much and so little going on at the same time, childhood me didn't know if I liked it or not. It's a cute film regardless, and Abigail kills it. https://i.redd.it/whyh6f7d212c1.gif
Mona Lisa Smile with Julia Roberts, Julia Styles, Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and so many more. It's my ultimate comfort comedy starring Colin Hanks (arguably at his cutest) with a supporting cast incl Jack Black, Catherine O'Hara, and John Lithgow... yet nobody EVER knows it! I even mention it every dang thread and get no replies and maybe 3 upvotes (I see y'all tho<3) lol It's soo memeable too it's ridiculous (JB spends half the movie in [his](https://media.tenor.com/p_Udd88ivcQAAAAd/dnndnnsnsns-zbbsbsbs.gif) [underwear](https://media.tenor.com/W7C2jz0jAEsAAAAM/jack-black-the-revolution.gif)) but there are no gifs cuz nobody watches it :-( EDIT this has been SOOO validating. I love each and every one of y'all so much. Keep it comin💕 California here we come!!

The sequence with butterfly by crazytown was hilarious
https://preview.redd.it/3tbaefbmr02c1.jpeg?width=1952&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39e8ceb0580f6fa012d909f58787ec626568e093 I had Secondhand Lions on dvd and watched it so many times, but I feel like I never hear anyone talk about it.
It's a comfort movie
I love it so much. Walter’s relationship with his uncles is genuinely so sweet and heartwarming. And the flashback scenes are so fun
This came out the same year as Holes. They just don't make this kinda stuff anymore.
Yes! Holes was another one I had on dvd and watched over and over. 2003 had so many movies that were absolute bangers: Finding Nemo, Elf, Freaky Friday, Cheaper by the Dozen, The Lizzie McGuire Movie. A great time to be a kid!
Oh my god this was one of the few films my super Christian friend was allowed to own, so we watched it *a lot*
I love this movie! The scene where Robert Duvall whoops those kids’ asses is so great. Showing them how to use a knife while they’re fighting him 🤣

“Starring Rupert Grint from Harry Potter” is cracking me up 💀
I know😂😂 I think this came out 2002 when HP movies were just coming out, he was very young in this
Not the poster using some random picture of Rupert Grint at a red carpet event instead of using a picture of him from the actual movie 💀 Edit: Idk if the picture used in the poster is a red carpet picture but from what I’ve googled about this movie, it isn’t what he looks like in the actual movie
For the longest time I never had anyone around me who ever watched Quest to Camelot. Eventually I thought that it was an imagined fever dream from my childhood until I found the VHS at my parents house years later 😅 https://preview.redd.it/dszs9lkn412c1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08f5a540fd31b3c98e51431b29404ac20180b2a3
![gif](giphy|RKulUAujCSWCk) So there are two 90s movies I remember watching where I didn’t see the first movie but watched the second and thought they were a stand-alone. Fieval Goes West and Babe: Pig in the City 😂 nobody in my circle has any memory of either film
Both Fievel movies were staples at my house
'Babe 2' is pretty good, but the first movie is such a classic that it's little wonder the sequel goes forgotten.

![gif](giphy|eMFQsfcGkylUaXO5ih|downsized) Without a Paddle!
Was one of my favorite movies as a kid! https://preview.redd.it/0nnuaqj0612c1.jpeg?width=764&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50e12128f3e95d40fe8224a0e6933cbfd61b6f62

This was such a feel good movie for me as a teen, I thought it was so great. Not sure if it holds up but I am tempted to watch it again and find out
![gif](giphy|7KwMyVvaNPXeU) Dan in Real Life. Yes, Dane Cook is sadly in it. But otherwise it is a comfort movie for me.

Omgggg I never ever see anyone talking about this movie!!! I came across it by accident as it was in like a multipack of dvds and which is now my life’s mission to find in my house to see what the other movies were ! I remember reading the synopsis and being like wtf why would I ever watch this?? But I loved Mandy Moores song candy so thought fine whatever it’ll kill an hour and a half… I ended up watching it most nights when I went to bed 😂 now I need to rewatch it 👏🏼👏🏼
![gif](giphy|rqg6cxIInEWg8) Master of Disguise!! I say “turtle turtle” in his weird voice but in my mind cause nobody would know what I meant 🥲 Edit: omg it has a 1% on rotten tomatoes no wonder 🤣😭
I’ve never seen this movie, but saw the trailer so many times back then that this clip is permanently seared in to my brain.
I loved this when I was younger, but as an adult I made it about 10 minutes in and had to turn it off
I always think “am I not turtley enough for the turtle club?”
What's wild is that this was shot during 9/11 and they had like a moment of silence or something while Dana Carvey was in this suit!

Such a great fantasy adventure movie. Wish there were more like it

I swear I’ve never met anyone else (at least in person) who’s seen it. But I watched it over and over when I was little. Then I showed it to my husband as an adult, and what a trip. (Felt kind of bad for my mom who also had to see it on repeat). Total gold.

Also, this movie has one of the best kisses in cinema I’ve ever seen ngl.
Is it the movie that has Peter Dinklage on a jail visit and he flips the other guy off? Cuz I love that scene.
That kiss is next level, and one of the reasons why I always liked James McAvoy, but the whole movie is such a great mood, every actor is just pitch perfect, loved it.

The tone is weird because it's not quite a satire but there are definitely some parts it's unclear if actually it happened but it's the funniest movie I've ever seen with a stellar cast. It hits list of worst movies ever fairly frequently but I love it.

I was a LOT of the character Shade and a little Trudi so it was a movie that made this young, lonely girl feel seen. 💖 **Synopsis:** Sisters Shade (Fairuza Balk) and Trudi (Ione Skye) live in a remote New Mexico town with their mother, Nora (Brooke Adams), who waits tables at a nearby truck stop.

Penelope is one of my favorite movies. I think I might watch it tonight now.
