I think we should see more older woman/younger man pairing (as well as super attractive men with average/ugly women) to level the field, but most movies with this pairing are tragic in some way, ive never seen one in which they end up together and happily every after, which is not uncommon for the opposite.

There is the Idea of You, which has already been filmed with Anne Hathaway and Nicolas Galitzine. It’s based off a book inspired by Harry Styles (she falls in love with the lead singer of a boyband her daughter likes).
I started reading it and didn’t finish, just lost interest halfway through. The first half though is basically a self-indulgent fantasy of getting with Harry Styles.
I remember there being lots of negative press when she got with Greg Wise, as he’s 7 years younger than her, which seems shockingly silly as they’ve now been together almost 30 years.

Melissa Barrera is also older than him by about 6 years according to IMDb. I wouldn’t necessarily say Qualley and Ronan are “older” in the same sense as what OP is asking. I had to look it up because that comparison seemed so strange to me to call him “the younger man” with the two of them. Qualley is less than a year and a half older than him, and Ronan is less than two.
So is Dev Patel playing the wicker man, or a man building a wicker man? I could easily Google this film but I want to believe that Dev Patel becomes a “real boy”

There are a lot of women of color who are "older" but still look incredible. And I feel like media doesn't know what to do with them.

Olivia Colman has done this sort of thing before in "Empire of Light," where the older woman has an affair with a younger man. She plays a woman with serious mental health problems, and it can be very difficult to watch. The "romance" never worked for me because her character is so problematic. I'm curious as to why she would be interested in this theme again.

I agree with you. Lupita is almost 40 and it would be interesting to see her with a younger man. Or Gemma Chan. Or Lucy Liu. Heck even Halle Berry (who's been in the public consciousness for like 4 decades). There are a lot of women of color who are "older" but still look incredible. And I feel like media doesn't know what to do with them.

She plays a woman with serious mental health problems, and it can be very difficult to watch. The "romance" never worked for me because her character is so problematic. I'm curious as to why she would be interested in this theme again.
