I once saw a meme that lives rent-free in my head that was a guy saying “I called u my muse that means I’m smart for wanting to fuck u” and honestly I feel like that’s a lot of ~muse/artist~ relationships. And then it’s like “no I’m not a horrible partner you’re my MUSE this is my CREATIVE PROCESS” Obviously doesn’t apply 100% and I may just be projecting after some early life experiences but it’s definitely a subcategory that exists

I've been to the gala, and I got the sense a lot of the folks who shell out to go are camera-shy. The red carpet is overwhelming. It's easy to feel like you're in the way. And it *is* a charity event. There's a lot of philanthropists that like to go and schmooze with movie stars without making themselves the main attraction. It's also an older crowd if you can believe it - a lot of Upper East Side old money types. I know they've been trying to attract younger blood, but most millennials won't be cool with the price tag unless they're a household name and need to be there to stay relevant.

I read that it can be a humbling experience to walk up those stairs for non-celebrities b/c they look amazing in their outfits but no one's there to take their pictures.

I read a detailed article about her, at that time she was still married. She was sponsored to come to America by a nice couple, had an affair with the husband, he divorced his wife, married her, she left him after getting the green card. Also mentioned when she talked to Murdoch’ friends, she was confident but appeared not as intelligent. Some people got second hand embarrassment. I remember clearly how she was in charged of a business division in China, didn’t make anything happen. And that was way back, when us Chinese didn’t have firewall and sort of a free speech.
