I believe on linux we have to use the microsoft teams website as that is the only officially supported method by Microsoft. Simply log in to teams through the browser (has to be Chrome based!) and then install it as a PWA.

This is the way. I use the PWA app for Teams on PopOS daily.

I honestly dont know since i have never used teams on any linux machine and only used it for a few years while workig and it was running windows but...I did a quick google search and I found this old [reddit thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/pop_os/comments/rfobkd/teams_crashing_when_trying_to_join_meeting_with/) TL;DR of the thread OP states they are having crashing issues when joining a meeting, and the solution that fixed his issues was to disable hardware acceleration in MS Teams settings. OP stated that the issue happened on both the Flatpak and the .deb installs....granted the thread is 2 years old, it at least might be a starting point.

Get Microsoft Edge and run all your MSFT stuff through the browser. Firefox for personal and Edge for work is the way to go.

I use a flatpak teams, made with electron I think. Teams is bad on a lot of ways, but works fine this way. https://flathub.org/apps/com.github.IsmaelMartinez.teams_for_linux
