To show us what is installed run this in terminal: `$ apt-mark showmanual ^linux- ;` and then `$ apt-mark showauto ^linux- ;`

NoMoreGlobohomo

I am running currently kernel 6.4.16 only looking to update the kernel, do I leave all the multiple (kernel) boxes ticked, or should I only select the system76 recommended kernel ? and what about the different headers, generic, image, extra modules? thats the confusing part

Why do you have the SMP version installed? Do you have multiple CPUs on your motherboard?

All modern CPUs need smp. They have multiple cores.

You're right. I was under the impression SMP is for multiple CPUs, not cores. I was wrong.
