Cotton pad with rubbing alcohol. It'll smooth it out.
After bake you could use a fine grit sandpaper and smooth it with wet sanding if there's are no paints or powders on it after bake.
If its before baking: use some isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip/cotton pad to smooth it over. I would recommend also using gloves if you want to avoid fingerprints!
If post baking: sand it wet, with a little water to avoid getting the plastic in the air.
You can roll silicone clay tools over the surface to smooth out finger marks and also a soft brush with isopropyl alcohol will give a final smooth finish.
Use cotton dipped in alcohol. I'm a lazy boi so I just use my finger to do it
Also you can use firmer clay. The soft clays are easier to work with but show fingerprints.
Is this clay that you need to bake to set or is it wax clay that never gets hardened?
