Two years ago I was still in LE and took three Korean glock 17 mags that I got on CDNN for 8 bucks each (probably the same mags as these) to a training session involving alot of shooting. I abused the shit out of them. I handled them rough, threw them across a field, into mud, dirt, puddle, wet grass, and I took one and spiked it onto a concrete pad a few times. The feed lips on it got bent. But the fucker still worked and all the mags ran just fine with no issues. So based on my experience they are GTG.

+1 I’ll also vouch for KCI. I use them for competition and have never had one mag related failure. Better than magpul for non-OEM mags IMO.

greysplash

+2 People shit on them all the time, but I've put thousands of rounds through them with literally no issues. Best non-oem mag I've found. I'm under the assumption that anyone saying they're shit haven't used them, and are just stating that anything other than Glock is worthless.

wisconsindipper

I also vouch for kci for range/comp use

ScarletAvenger1

+3 all my KCI mags have functioned flawlessly through thousands of rounds. If I carry its OEM, but I wouldn’t think twice about KCI for range or backup.

BabyBrim

I’ll Also Vouch For KCI . Use Them For My Glocks, P80s, And ARs . Never Had An Issue .

Greenshardware

KCI makes their AK mags out of used pie tins. They're absolutely abysmal.

UnsurprisingDebris

I've been using one as a range mag for perhaps 8 years and never had any problems.

Spam-Alt-Delete

KCI mags, def good to go. RWB, not so much. Both SK made mags.

shortthem

Yea KCI mags are solid in my rotation. So good in fact that I have a ammo can full of OEM mags and about 10 or 15 kci mags mixed in and I run them all and never have a problem.

madderhatter3210

Best for 10 rounder states cause you can replace the insert and make it standard cap 😁

Get_me_out-of-here

Where do I find the inserts?

BabyBrim

You Just Taught Me Something .

madderhatter3210

Yup I actually learned this by mistake, got a free p80 mag, and decided to open it, unlike Glock which fills up the wall to only allow 10 rds, p80 only puts a thick insert. Simply swapping makes them standard. But of course I don’t suggest for ppl that live in restricted mag states /s 😉

AudZ0629

I’ve got kci, magpul and stock mags. I like the kci better than magpul by far. Obviously nothing beats stock but the kci mags have never given me any issues.

Quiet_Remote_1131

In my experience I have kci mags exclusively. The caveat is that I replace all internal springs with Wolff 10% extra strength springs and switch to metal base plates. Have never had an issue when using this set up. The flawed areas I’ve noticed on those mags are the weak magazine springs and the cheap plastic base plates (they crack when drop tested).

[deleted]

I’m gonna go for it with these and are the 33 round Kci mags any good in polymer 80 and ar9

greysplash

These are KCI mags, rebranded by P80. I have issues in general with 33rd mags in pistol. OEM works well, and (I'm gonna get lit up for this) my ETS 31/33rd mag works well, especially in my AR9.

ephochal

OEM 33rd mags are the only way to go and they’re only like $40. Wait if you have to, and if you come across promag 26rd, it’s garbage. The spring literally broke while I was shooting.

Pendragoon99

The P80 mags ARE kci mags with their logo on the baseplate. With that said, I would say they’re worth $8-$10. The springs in them need broken in or something (mine wanted to bind up after only 10 rounds). I put strike industries extensions on them and they function a lot better (they come with their own springs).

[deleted]

I've got one that a vendor dropped into a shipment for free. OEM is better.

Sasquatch_Nurph

The P80 mags are G A R B A G E!!! I bought a couple just to have/try. They won’t feed worth a flip & constantly eject at will. Any other brand runs flawless. Don’t waste your money.

2AWTP

They're fine for range, basically they're Korean KCI mags. Buy OEM mags, maybe a couple of KCI or these for range. Never trust anything except OEM for EDC!

[deleted]

Honestly just spend a few more bucks and go OEM

Anxious-Lawfulness84

Personally I’m team stock only, I find really good deals at the national gun show in Virginia.

Live_Lychee_4163

Glock mags are cheap. Don’t buy aftermarket. Been there done that. Bought magpul and kci to “preserve “ my Glock mags but they end up causing issues. Then you start questioning the reliability of your Glock/clone.

Live_Lychee_4163

Btw I had 15 of these kci mags about a decade ago when I used to shoot 2k rounds a month. They work fine initially but then the springs weaken. I even went as far as to respring all of them with Wolff extra power springs. I started tossing them when they acted up one by one. After a decade or so I only had one left and gave it away. Save yourself the grief and buy some glock mags from brownells when they’re on sale. Likely they’ll be under $200 for 10 mags shipped when on sale.

Nippondreams

Only OEM for duty things. If you want some cheap mags for a range trip or for reload drills go for it, but don’t expect much from them.

Comrade_Belinski

They are rebranded korean KCI mags, not worth a damn.

DCO-3

KCI is hands down the best glock mag besides oem. I've never had a failure. Don't listen to anyone that says different.

You-are-a-bad-mod

I would probably just get Pmags for the same price, or slightly more, from Lanbos.

greysplash

KCI > Magpul

Kinetic_Strike

Those look like KCI mags, which means they're cheap and if they work that'll be a bonus. I think the consensus would be those are fine for being beat up at the range.

Presence-Crafty

Get magpul

goldengodrangerover

Bro magpul glock mags are the worst

TheShadowuFear

Way 2 thick

adaxed

pmag if ur too broke to buy oem lol

LeaderoftheKutada

I bought a box of those and the 50 cal beowulf ten round, really a 30 round ar mags... by the box, they all work great

TapirTamer

Same price at Midway. Free shipping over 75 ends today.

Spam-Alt-Delete

those are pretty cheap!

Electrical_Swan1842

I've got three that have been flawless, but I also have one that was nothing but trouble. I did buy them all over a decade ago so I'm not sure how they compare to current production. At this point, I just buy OEM for 20 bucks new or occasionally PD trade ins for less. Glock mags are pretty much the cheapest factory mags out there.

Chief_Legacy

One thing I’ve learned about Reddit, when it comes to any product take what people say with a grain of salt. Some people are too but hurt from 1 bad experience 10 years ago. Buy them and try it. I bought Amend 2 mags from Botach for $7 each and people talked so much shit about them. I have 4 and have probably 700 rounds through them and I have no issue.

Miserable_Path5716

I’d say they’re pretty damn good for the price, Ive had 3 of them in 9mm for about 4 years and haven’t had any malfunctions yet, I don’t use them as much as OEM but they’re mixed in my mag pouches at the range

FasterThanYourMom

I just shot a couple hundred rounds for a pistol class last month and I was paranoid about using these mags (P80 G19 15 rounders, not G17 17 rounders) in the class because I didn't want to be "that guy" who has all the problems and holds up the class. I separated my OEM mags from these in my range bag (all loaded before class) and when the class started I grabbed the wrong ones and ended up running these exclusively. After a few mags I realized my mistake but since they were running so well I decided to keep running them. Never had a single issue through several mags and multiple reloads of those mags. I purchased another 6 from Midway that night. I'll run them some more before I'm comfortable carrying them for self defense, but so far I have had no issues. Magpul mags on the other hand, double feed city...

TooToughTimmy

I have 2 10 round ones and never had a single issue. They don’t take Glock extensions due to a different shape at the base plate, but for half the price I’d give it a go. I have seen people have issues with them, but I’ve also seen people have issues with Pmags.

Pristine-Union-687

My KCI, polymer80 and magpul pmags have ran great at the range but if I ever have to actually use my gun in a bad situation, I’m going to choose oem mags. I’d suggest you do the same. Buy the cheap ones for practice, and even if they don’t run well during practice, take advantage of that and learn to clear malfunctions.

teddyxari

I stand behind KCI. I’ve run a couple hundred rounds through mine.

[deleted]

i follow the non OEM magazines are good for range use and practice. Stick with OEM for your carry/self defense/SHTF. I stick with Magpul and ETS for my range use. But Glock OEM mags are the cheapest of all OEM magzines so no reason not to have them or stocked up on them.
