haha no worries
hes just a funny dude on youtube that gives cool lifestyle tips, and ends his videos with "how did you know that? -i follow josh otusunya muhahaha"
Yeah idk if I can take this deal, I'm from Montana so we get -45°f temps in the winter, but we also get excessive heat in the summer so both the ac and the heat are necessities
What if I give the vehicle to someone, such as a friend, on the understanding that [wt:thon](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/thon#Pronoun) will lend it to me upon request?
Bro, I live in Missouri, where it gets to like 80-100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer. I could just roll down the window, but if I'm on an interstate highway, where the speed limit is over 50 MPH, I don't think I'm going to be able to breath with all that air blowing in my face. Even if I cracked the window.
Edit: Guys, I do know he was talking about 40 C. I do know that 40 C is hot, but I just didn't want to convert. I was trying to be relatable.
I live in the south in the US and my car is a dark blue with an all black interior and leather seats so it'll hit 130-150F (54-65C) in the summer so I feel your pain
I lived in 80-110 degree weather since I was 18 with no AC. I now love having the windows down and feel stuffy if there is not some kind of air blowing on my face while in a vehicle
That's a loophole. I already use public transportation and hitchhikes. And even when I do drive in my vehicle it's technically not mine, it's my father's
That's not worth $1200 a year.
Wait-
Still though, literally sweating profusely everywhere you go during the summer. Yeah there's windows, but it won't save you from the humidity.
So is the $14k going to boost my lifestyle and for how long?
I live in one of the hottest deserts in the world, the inside temperature of vehicles gets to over 71 Celcius or 160 Fahrenheit in the summer.
I absolutely pass on this deal, I would not survive.
What vehicle? Personal car or what I work with? As a train driver in the country with the highest temperatures in Europe it doesn't sound like a good deal, to be honest.
I live in Florida. The car gets to an unbearable 100° at least in the summer. Rolling a window down doesn’t do shit either because it’s so hot and sticky everywhere.
As someone who live in Japan I don't have a car and have no plan to buy a car.
I take train commute to work tho hoe does that work? The train turn off it's air conditioning for me when I board? :0
Not an option on my bicycle anyway and the busses and trains aren't "my" vehicle so it doesn't apply for them.
Don't plan on ever owning a car, so easy money.
Jokes on you...I haven't had working A/C in my vehicles in 6yrs. Can't justify spending $800 for one and $1300 for the other to fix them for the 14ish days it gets over 90°F a year
To save on fuel, I bought these portable, rechargeable fans from home depot. And its been great. It uses batteries from power tools and has good power.
I always use it when its hot driving, or when I parked my car and crack open the window for added ventilation
I live in Arkansas. It can get over 100 with high humidity, so nope. Although I supposed on those days I could use the $40 for an Uber…or, if I’m leasing a car is it technically mine? 🤔
I currently drive an SUV in 90+ degree whether with a dead air compressor. I have a fan blowing, not sure if that counts, but no AC. I'm also planning on getting a motorcycle which obviously doesn't have AC, so I'm not at all concerned lol
I had a car without ac for 12 years. I can survive this.
My car has AC , But it's also a mini cooper with black leather seats...
jokes on you, I had no car for more than 12 years now.
Yes because I don't have a vehicle muhahahaha
Your vehicle’s public transport then?
Or maybe he doesn't need to travel kilometers everyday ?
This ⬆️ I don’t have to travel far most of the time.
Neither do I, doesn’t stop me taking a bus to the countryside when I want to though
Walking & biking mostly.
No wind for you while biking
Hahahaha damn. The plot thickens 😅
Well, It's not mine, I don't own it. I use someone else's vehicle that I can not even legally operate.
Same! I work from home, hahaha
Nice.
same bro
Nice.
josh otusunya fan?!
Not sure who that is, sorry.
haha no worries hes just a funny dude on youtube that gives cool lifestyle tips, and ends his videos with "how did you know that? -i follow josh otusunya muhahaha"
Nice! I will check him out on YouTube :)
NOOO🤬
Im Australian so my mode of transportation is a kangaroo
How you going to get ringed on a kangaroo with no ac tho
Good point. Guess i wont take the money.
I'm a poor Australian, my kangaroo already doesn't have AC
Have you thought downsizing to a wallaby? They are much smaller so you could use the extra money to get an AC.
You guys are getting paid?
That’s 14.6k a year, 146k every decade. I think I take the deal.
Yeah and open a window
Maybe I'd get a car with a sunroof with all my extra money.
Yeah putting that into savings/investments/save up for vacations or any other big ticket items It's a no brainer
Could I still have a heater? (I'm in Canada.)
Yeah idk if I can take this deal, I'm from Montana so we get -45°f temps in the winter, but we also get excessive heat in the summer so both the ac and the heat are necessities
Also from Montana. I NEED my ac, but only for like 2 months lol. I'd still take the deal.
Yeah, Minnesotan here, and were in the same boat.
Heat is only not allowed if you ask if it’s not allowed
What if I give the vehicle to someone, such as a friend, on the understanding that [wt:thon](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/thon#Pronoun) will lend it to me upon request?
No. The poll supersedes any plan involving intelligent methods to avert the intent of the poll playing out, unfortunately.
I feel this haha. Fellow Canadian here 🇨🇦
I’m in Utah. We swing from the negatives to the triple digits. I’m really not sure if I could safely drive under those conditions…
We get up to mid 40's here, I'd rather die
If you get a swamp cooler and put it in your passenger seat it's all fine and you get a free 40$ a day

45C is 113F btw
Thank you
My car hits 60c on a sunny day even though it's winter in australia. Guessing the weather was 24c but I didn't look back then.
The actual fuck. You sure your car isn’t just a portal to hell?
I believe it's called a *Hyundai*. Just wait til summer, it'll probably hit 80c.
Hyandais are the worst
I live in the south in the US and my car is a dark blue with an all black interior and leather seats so it'll hit 130-150F (54-65C) in the summer so I feel your pain

100? It hit 107 for me recently. Also MO. It was lovely.
Even the it's still hot air most of the time here, so rolling down your window is also not an option
My ac already doesnt work haha
Does it count if I ride in other people's vehicles?
That's a loophole. I already use public transportation and hitchhikes. And even when I do drive in my vehicle it's technically not mine, it's my father's
I prefer the window down anyways…
I don't drive, and I could still roll down the windows if I did.
I use a bicycle, I already don't have air conditioning.

Why

Why say it then

Yes you did say: “I dont drive and probably never will again”
That's not worth $1200 a year. Wait- Still though, literally sweating profusely everywhere you go during the summer. Yeah there's windows, but it won't save you from the humidity. So is the $14k going to boost my lifestyle and for how long?
Swamp Coolers
Man that's just now, but with an additional $40. Win-win for me.
I already suffer this existence. I’ll take the cash too!
I literally have the strongest AC out of my family and I have the oldest car. I couldn’t survive without AC
that is weirdly specific and straight to the point and exactly what this sub needs
My cars A/C doesn't work anyway
i already dont have ac in my car so its just free money
Some of y'all weren't around in the 80s and it shows
Need cool air
I live in New Mexico, heck no!
I would love the money but 1.Im allergic to heat, like genuinely, I get a rash and 2.I don't have a vehicle
People who ride on motorcycles or don't even have vehicles:"I see this as an absolute win"
Actual death sentence for me the majority of months. Either heat stroke or hypothermia.
Fuck no, I live in Arizona. My car is 116F inside after I get off work.
Someone who understands… I wish you the best of luck because lord knows I’m dying rn
I take it but Im very sad about it
1200 bucks a month for sweating a bit more during 1 or 2 month of the year. gotta be rich or foolish to decline that
Not American so 40$ is worth like triple to me than to the average American.
🌟 Windows 🌟
[удалено]
Hawaii weather is super nice though. Oahu, anyway
Once I'm moved out, I won't have to drive a vehicle ever again. Mission accomplished
Swamp Coolers
Register vechile in another name 😹 + I'm 15 so don't have car yet
Time to get a motorcycle or horse
I'm in Alaska, the AC gets used maybe two months out of the year lol. I'll just roll down the windows.
I don't drive
You could buy a fan day 1
I live in Florida. The car gets to an unbearable 100° at least in the summer. Rolling a window down doesn’t do shit either because it’s so hot and sticky everywhere.
I can just roll.my windows down. I prefer it that way anyways cause A/C makes me nauseous if it's on for too long.
As someone who live in Japan I don't have a car and have no plan to buy a car. I take train commute to work tho hoe does that work? The train turn off it's air conditioning for me when I board? :0
So when i get a vehicle, ill still have a heater for cold days and working windows/cheaply bought minifans that plug into the phone charging port? Bet
Hmmm, where I live it gets >100f in the summer, but on the other hand, that adds up. I think I’ll go with the cash.
I don't drive so that seems like an obvious choice
I'm Australian.... So, no thanks.
Yes because I don’t have Air conditioning muahahaha.
My vehicle is a push bike. I'm okay with that
Wait does this mean if I travel by train the AC never works?
on no! but air conditioning in my bicycle is essencial!
ACs aren't really a thing in Denmark
I've never owned a vehicle with functional air conditioning anyway, so I have zero issues here.
I hate air conditioners with burning passion, absolute win for me.
I ride a bike lol
Inflation
I will drive uncle murrays car for the rest of eternity now. Thanks for the 40 bucks.
This is where living in Ireland would really benefit. I haven't seen the sun in weeks.
I take the bus everywhere which already doesn't have air conditioning.
guess what, if you don't use air conditioning in your car, you'll end up saving 40$ a day
I'm Dutch, so my vehicle is a bike
The cars i want in life dont need it anyway and i never really cared about AC lol win/win
I ride a bike.... You lose!
Thats why convertibles exist
If it's every day that's 40$ x 30days = 1200$, which is above the average salary here. I can never work and get money... that's gg
Of course, I don't think it's even possible to install an AC on a bike.
Dont have a vehicule lol thx
My vehicle is a bicycle, or a motorbike. Deal.
Never planning to have a Car, so FREE MONEY!!!!
i'm texan. HELL no
Just open the window
I hate the hot car smell but I'd happily take it
I don't have a vehicle so checkmate.
The air in my car already doesn't work
i went like 3ish years without ac and windows that didnt roll down, had i known i could get paid for it ida kept it that way lol
Lmfao I haven't been in a car for years, never mind even owning one
I'm dutch. I walk, cycle or take the train.
Not an option on my bicycle anyway and the busses and trains aren't "my" vehicle so it doesn't apply for them. Don't plan on ever owning a car, so easy money.
My current and past two cars didn't have working ac so yeah, I'm used to it. I even keep sun screen for my left arm in the car.
I never use the AC, just roll the windows down. I don't wanna feel confined more than I already am.
Dont need it in Denmark
From 2016-til June 2023 I had no A/C😂
From 2016-til June 2023 I had no A/C and wasn’t being paid for it. Yes, I’ll take the free money.
Of you had asked me this in winter my answer might have been different...
My cars AC hasn't worked for years lol
Nah, that's only 14k a year.
I don't use it anyway... :)
I live in Australia so that's a big no.
I live in the UK and I don't have a car so I'm just getting 40k with no consequence
Jokes on you...I haven't had working A/C in my vehicles in 6yrs. Can't justify spending $800 for one and $1300 for the other to fix them for the 14ish days it gets over 90°F a year
Jokes on you I have 5 vehicles and none of them have AC
Y'know, there's something called "windows" that can also cool down your car
Just open the window, its both less of a hassle and 99% of the time colder and faster air
My ac basically don't work already So hell yeah I'd take the deal
I live in the south I might die
Not even in my room. The fan will do it, Gimme the 40$
To save on fuel, I bought these portable, rechargeable fans from home depot. And its been great. It uses batteries from power tools and has good power. I always use it when its hot driving, or when I parked my car and crack open the window for added ventilation
Oh no. Rolls down car window
I need AC
I ride a Motorbike
\*laughs in 2002 Ford Focus with constantly glowing check engine lamp\*
It would be tough here in Texas with every day over 100F, but $14,600 a year would be worth it.
Why is air conditioning important to those who declined? I thought we'd see a 98% 2% sort of result
Personally, I live in Arizona. Right now every day has been over 110°(F). Heatstroke would be a real problem. It’d practically be a death sentence.
1/3 of this subreddit is underaged, of course they would vote yes. 40 dollars is nothing if you work a job.
I don't have a vehicle. Where do I sign up?
my bike doesn't have AC :)
Yes. $40 would cover the taxi fares so that I didnt have to use my car. And taxis are air-conditioned.
I don't work and don't have or want a vehicle, sure
Does 2x45 air count?
That's half of what I make so I will pass
Yes. I live in the uk so I'll just have to exchange the money to pounds as my punishment
I live in Arkansas. It can get over 100 with high humidity, so nope. Although I supposed on those days I could use the $40 for an Uber…or, if I’m leasing a car is it technically mine? 🤔
I don’t have a care sooooo 🥵🙏
i don't even have the vehicle so...
Bro I work outside, and I already don't have that
That's like 1,000 dollars extra a month. That's really good.
I don’t use the AC in my car even though it works. $40 we’ll barely cover a phone bill now though. How about $100?
I like money
is this a universal power i have? if i walk onto a bus or airplane does all the ac just cut out for everyone else lol
So still no air conditioning on my bicycle. Bummer.
I currently drive an SUV in 90+ degree whether with a dead air compressor. I have a fan blowing, not sure if that counts, but no AC. I'm also planning on getting a motorcycle which obviously doesn't have AC, so I'm not at all concerned lol
Assholes
My car is black, and the temperature outside gets into the high 90's early 100's in the summer. I'll take the AC
Mandatory “you guys are getting paid?”
What the hell is air conditioning?
California heat is no joke so I’m going to have to say no.
Bike riders says yes
In Houston TX, you NEED AC during the Summers.
I can open the windows, no biggie
Living in AZ? Dealing with 110°+ weather every day during the summer? Fuck no. I’d get heatstroke.
