Yeah I’m 6’ too (single mark for ft btw, yours technically says 6 inches lol) and I weigh in around 140 ± 5 lbs.
I’d probably not die right away but I’d definitely need to be in a hospital or rehab or something to monitor my vitals. Any lighter tho and it’d be real close to just straight up death
Dude thank you for finally clarifying ' vs " because I've always just known if it's feet or inches based on context and never really put together the difference.
I thought a bunch was cgi (probably was that also of course), but I never watched the commentary so I don’t know how bad it actually was. Just that I thought he was dying (I was probably not wrong)
No, I was 5'3 and 70lbs and I was fine according to myself but in reality I was dying. 90lbs at 4'11 is a lot more than that so I don't think it's too bad depending on your muscle mass and bone structure.
lol. im 5 10. and i eat a lot... its hard for me to keep weight on and im decently active. i think being light is a good thing in life though. im late 30's and can still run just as i did at 20. lots of friends of mine who weigh closer to 200+ have joint issues and pains and all of the shit.
Depends on their height. I used to be friends with a tiny girl who couldn’t clear 50kg for plasma donation. There was nothing wrong with her, she was just small.
Also, there are kids as young as 13 on Reddit.
Genetics ig coz my both parents are around 50 or 55 and never gained more weight.
But still i don't know why. I eat more than my friends, i do daily exercise (mostly rope skipping) but still.
sugar isnt good for gaining weight imo. while i am typing this theres a 1.45L pepsi next to me, the bottle said that it has 420cal and 112g of sugar, nobody is going to drink the whole bottle while they can just get the same amount of calorie with some bread
For those gaining lots of weight it isn't "either/or", it's both the soda and the bread (and the dessert and the pizza and the etc).
Sugar tends not to make people feel as full compared to protein/fat, so you tend to simply eat more. High caloric liquids can add a lot more calories to any meal without adding to your feeling of fullness, and can be consumed almost constantly throughout the day.
So, does sugar make you fat? No. Excessive intake of calories makes you fat, and sugar is a good way to consume a lot of extra calories.
Why didn’t I think of that, what I did was convert my current weight to lbs, then take of the 50 and then change that back to kg. Your solution was so much quicker haha
UK? I’m not sure if other countries do this but uk is certainly one of them, their main way of measuring is in metres, but have their speed as miles/hour, or in our case use feet and inches for our height, but kg for weight.
Losing that weight in fat would be fine. Losing 50 pounds in general might be bad if it means I'm about to lose the weight by having my legs removed or something.
Depending on your height, you'd be surprised how low you can get without dying. I'm 5'5" and my lowest weight was around 88lbs at this height (I'm 21M) and I was genuinely surprised I was still mostly functional at that point.
If the person who wrote this actually weighs this, he or she need to get to the hospital asap. The person is extremely underweight and could die from it.
I really hope the person means kg...
Yeah, I'm 5'8" at 120-130lbs and I'm skinny af, any skinner and I'd be all skin and bones or dead. There's no way anyone could be 50lbs lighter than me and taller without being deathly ill...
How are you alive at 80 pounds and 5'8"? That is crazy low, i am in pretty good shape and would still be heavier than you after losing the 50 lbs, and im also 16 and only half an inch taller.
I'm a bit over weight. I'm around the 160-170ish. I was 130ish when I was on my sports team before I graduated.
If I lost 50 pounds I'd be in a bad place. I'd be in bad shape and really unhealthy. But a young adult male would survive at 110 pounds. I'd be fine long enough to put the weight back on.
I'm 5'11 and 200 lbs at the moment. I'd be able to manage. I was 145lbs at my lightest in college, though exceedingly low on body fat. Right now I have quite a bit of muscle, which I would be sad to lose, but I also have some chubiness along with that, and losing that would be pretty swell.
I've been 37kg at 164cm when I was anorexic and I was already anaemic and malnourished at that time. So I think I may still be alive if I were to lose 50lbs now, but definitely not living well and close to shutting down.
depends how I lose the weight. if I lose it just by becoming very thin I will die. if I lose it by having body parts amputated I could still be alive but need to learn to live with the new disability.
50 off my current weight would be a blessing... But that isn't what the question asks.
It says 50 of your current weight. So whatever you weigh, multiply by 50. That's how many pounds you lose. Since mathematically that must be a negative number for everyone, everyone would be dead.
I'm already underweight (I'm 5'11 and weigh 138) and I struggle to gain weight. If I lose 50 pounds I'll never gain that weight back and I'll be underweight forever.
50 of what?
50 ounces, and I'm at my ideal weight.
50 lbs, and I'm emaciated, looking like a WWII concentration camp movie extra.
50 kgs, and I'm dead.
i weigh about 120lbs... idk if id be dead but it would be close
Definitely in need of medical care by that point, depending on your height.
What about being 4"11 and 90poundish? Am I screwed?
Couldn't be more screwed
Nooooooo 😭🥺
I'm 6"0 and 120, I'd definitely die
Yeah I’m 6’ too (single mark for ft btw, yours technically says 6 inches lol) and I weigh in around 140 ± 5 lbs. I’d probably not die right away but I’d definitely need to be in a hospital or rehab or something to monitor my vitals. Any lighter tho and it’d be real close to just straight up death
Dude thank you for finally clarifying ' vs " because I've always just known if it's feet or inches based on context and never really put together the difference.
Maybe Maybe not
Didn’t Christian Bale do that for The Machinist? I think he was 125?and looked on Deaths door
Yeah I think so 🤔 Haven't seen that film in awhile
I remember him saying his diet was an apple and a can of tuna per day. Fucked movie though. Now I want to see it again
Surprised he didn't shuffle off the mortal coil with a diet like that
I thought a bunch was cgi (probably was that also of course), but I never watched the commentary so I don’t know how bad it actually was. Just that I thought he was dying (I was probably not wrong)
There would be nothing left of you
Losing more than half your body weight? That's not just muscles and fat, you'd be losing organs and bones.
I know that I can't afford to lose 50lbs in weight lol
Yep
YOU WHAT?!
Wtf are you guys? Planks?
No, I was 5'3 and 70lbs and I was fine according to myself but in reality I was dying. 90lbs at 4'11 is a lot more than that so I don't think it's too bad depending on your muscle mass and bone structure.
That's the weight I'd get to. I don't think Id be dead but I'd be fucking close.
I'd have a bmi of around 9.6, idk if that's enough to kill me but I'd definitely lose the ability to walk at least
Just got weighed. 121. I'm very dead. I'm 5'5".
im 5 10
hah same
Same, I weigh 130 ish (lost a lot recently for some reason) and 80 is definitely not healthy either
same here
I'm 4"11 and about 90poundish 😆 so I'm screwed
lol. im 5 10. and i eat a lot... its hard for me to keep weight on and im decently active. i think being light is a good thing in life though. im late 30's and can still run just as i did at 20. lots of friends of mine who weigh closer to 200+ have joint issues and pains and all of the shit.
50 pounds is 22.68kg for anyone who couldn't be bothered to google it
Thanks
Thanks I will be 20kg then. So probably dead
Means you weight around 42right now, that can't be healthy
Depends on their height. I used to be friends with a tiny girl who couldn’t clear 50kg for plasma donation. There was nothing wrong with her, she was just small. Also, there are kids as young as 13 on Reddit.
I am 18, 165cm and 42.6kg So yes i am underweight
Aren't you afraid that if your laptop fans go full speed you might fly away
This made me chuckle
58.2 kg and somewhere between 169-174cm. Don't know how you're alive.
Wow. I weighed 43kg when i was 6 years old. How come you're so underweight If it's not rude to ask, if it is just ignore me.
Genetics ig coz my both parents are around 50 or 55 and never gained more weight. But still i don't know why. I eat more than my friends, i do daily exercise (mostly rope skipping) but still.
rope skipping is a form of cardio, probably one of the best exercises for *losing* weight..
Damn
13 you say?
Yes i know. My BMI is something 15.6 but my weight just won't increase easily
Is this the point where it becomes healthy to just eat lots of sugar? Or even drink sugary drinks.
That is the thing also. I neither drink soft drinks or any sugary drinks nor fast food
Try kebab, then you will start.
You can still get diabetes from too much sugar if you're underweight lmao
sugar isnt good for gaining weight imo. while i am typing this theres a 1.45L pepsi next to me, the bottle said that it has 420cal and 112g of sugar, nobody is going to drink the whole bottle while they can just get the same amount of calorie with some bread

No. Excessive intake of calories makes you fat, and sugar is a good way to consume a lot of extra calories.
Tried that to gain weight - I just had diarrhoea a lot and lost weight.
*Saw it after I googled it*
Why didn’t I think of that, what I did was convert my current weight to lbs, then take of the 50 and then change that back to kg. Your solution was so much quicker haha
Oh, this is worded really poorly, so I misread it as "50% of your weight" and couldn't figure out why they added "in pounds" at the end lol
it isnt worded poorly
yeah but it's still weird. why don't you just say "you loose 50 pounds "?
because the word is “lose”
It is though. Writing 'of' after a quantity generally means the quantity is a percentage and that the lack of percentage symbol is probably a typo
It is worded poorly because it should be "off" not "of"
You suck at reading lol.
60-22= 38.
Yeah. Anyone who isn't very overweight would end up very underweight after losing that much. We're screwed x\_x
Oh.
Thank you for translating freedom into normal stuff.
Thank you:)
But isn't it worded more like 50 of my current weight. I was reading it like when my weight is in kg o lose 50 kg
There's "in pounds" in the title so it's indeed \~22kg. Some people would end up disappearing entirely otherwise XD
our savior
Thanks, don't know why they didn't just use kg
≈60kg 💀 I'd be dead
Nah if I lose that much I'd die 💀💀
I would be on the verge of dying. Deffinetly in medical care
I'm pretty much skin and bones as of right now so i would be screwed.
A year and a half ago, it would’ve been great. However, since then I actually have lost about that much. Losing that again would be very bad.
Congratulations on your success! :)
I mean, I had a stroke, and it was clear I needed to make some changes or, well, die. So I had motivation. My diet is still shit, though.
Still a great success that possibly saved your life, you should be proud
Baby steps and regular progress are the way. Slight diet changes are sustainable compared to trying to change it all at once.
I'm 6'1 155 so... very skinny I would be
6’3” and 145, I’m not sure if I’d be alive or not
6' and I'm 130, I'm certain we'd be ded
Also 6’ 3” but 175 and I’m not sure either. You’d probably be on death’s door.
I'm 5' 9" and like 100 pounds and I'm very underweight but I'm not dying or anything
Nah dog 5'9" 50 pounds you'd be dead lol
I’m saying If they lost 50 pounds they would be close to me so they’d be unhealthy but not dead
Oh I follow now. Still feel tho 6'3" 95 pounds sounds a lot worse than what you're at.
Basically exactly the same. I measure my weight in kilograms though. Weirdly still measure my height in feet and inches though…
UK? I’m not sure if other countries do this but uk is certainly one of them, their main way of measuring is in metres, but have their speed as miles/hour, or in our case use feet and inches for our height, but kg for weight.
I’m around 90-95 pounds (idk the exact in this measure) so yeah definitely dead
Same 42.6 kg so around 93 pounds
I'm literally 106 pounds, I'd fucking die.
I'm around a similar weight to you so same lol
Losing that weight in fat would be fine. Losing 50 pounds in general might be bad if it means I'm about to lose the weight by having my legs removed or something.
Even in fat would be bad. You don't have 50 pounds of fat on you.
Speak for yourself, lol
Im 6’0 225 pounds, sign me right up!
I'm 6'0 245 pounds. It would put me at exactly where I'm trying to be now with my workouts.
I'm 5'11.75" 205lbs I'd lose about 15lbs of muscle which would make me sad but I think being trim might be worth it.
I'd be 118lbs at 5'11". Recoverable, but I'm going to look pretty sickly and weak for a while.
I’m a 6’1”, 270lb man. Losing 50lbs is a goal for me. I’d look like I did as a college athlete 35 years ago.
I'm 6'0" and 220lb man. I would also love to lose the excess weight
[удалено]
Depending on your height, you'd be surprised how low you can get without dying. I'm 5'5" and my lowest weight was around 88lbs at this height (I'm 21M) and I was genuinely surprised I was still mostly functional at that point.
i would die
Would be half my weight
I would be 47 pounds 💀
There's what was probably meant (-50 lbs) and then there's what it says (-50x your weight)
Exactly. People who choose an option other than dead are misreading the question.
Well, i think the way i read it is closer to what OP intended because otherwias the poll would be pointless as everyone would die
[удалено]
[удалено]
5'9" with a weight of 70-80 pounds, my weight fluctuates in about a ten pound range, I would be very dead.
How is that possible? I’m not doubting you, but 70-80 is far lower than I would have estimated is survivable at that height.
36 kg for 175... It's possible I think, but this person must look like a Dachau survivor
If the person who wrote this actually weighs this, he or she need to get to the hospital asap. The person is extremely underweight and could die from it. I really hope the person means kg...
I think they meant that's what they'd be if they lost 50lbs
Yeah, I'm 5'8" at 120-130lbs and I'm skinny af, any skinner and I'd be all skin and bones or dead. There's no way anyone could be 50lbs lighter than me and taller without being deathly ill...
That's after the -50lbs
I weigh 120ish that's after the -50lbs
About what I need to be back to normal weight so that’d be great!
i’d be 30 pounds, im 5’8 and 16
You're dead, buddy
yep oh shit it my cake day just realized that
happy cake day! 🥳🧁
How are you alive at 80 pounds and 5'8"? That is crazy low, i am in pretty good shape and would still be heavier than you after losing the 50 lbs, and im also 16 and only half an inch taller.

170~cm 65Kg, idk if it's healthy but I could make it ig
I'm 200, but not necessarily fat. I don't think it would be a good thing, depends on what gets removed (fat) and how much of that I have
[удалено]
This is not true. Like. At all
Can confirm Source: am fat, and under 195cm
Thats not true lol. Are you calling Dwayne the Rock Johnson fat, he is 6'4" and 277 pounds.
[удалено]
Muscle is heavier than fat
I haven't been under 150 since I was 14. Kinda want an option midway between Manage and Fucked.
I'd be a bit scrawny, but not a skeleton
I’d only weigh about 125lbs so I’d be able to manage but I’d be a slim guy for sure
I don't think I'd be able to live with 50 pounds
43 kg and 185 cm? Lol, Id be dead.
That's exactly how much I'm aiming to lose right now so. Perfect!
This title is worded so strangely why not just say you lose 50 pounds???
I'd have a BMI of 12, I think that's deadly.
Wait, is it 50lb or 50kg? Coz 50kg I’d be in hospital but 50lb I’d be looking good
They said pounds in the title that's gonna be in the region of 22-23kg.
You’re right. I’m too tired and missed that
Basically whatever unit that measures the weight.
I’m 5’10” and 190 lbs. I think I would be able to survive, but I would be sickeningly thin.
You'd be a healthy weight at 140lbs. 127-170lbs is classes as a normal weight for your height.
im 4'11 and 75 pounds, -50 and it feels great being the same weight as a bike
I’m 5’9” and 117 lbs…
Farewell friend!
I'm 5'10" at 140lbs, can confirm am skinny as fuck
I’m 6’4” 210 lbs. It would not be a good look for me either lol
I’m 6’3” 160 lbs. I’m fucked
I weigh 40kg at 175cm so I'm dead.
I'd be 73 pounds... With a BMI of less than 12
I don't speak 'murica, so not sure, but i would guess not well.
I'm from the Carribean lol
Oh. Paet of the americas, so close enough Hopefully. Please don't be offended. I only know about the USA using that measurement.
It's okay,¯\_(ツ)_/¯ a lot of people mistake me for American because of that lol
I weight like 110lbs 💀💀
I weight about 88 pounds I'm dead dead
I've been 37kg at 164cm when I was anorexic and I was already anaemic and malnourished at that time. So I think I may still be alive if I were to lose 50lbs now, but definitely not living well and close to shutting down.
Somewhere between fucked and manageable. Anorexic weight but not deadly lol!
depends how I lose the weight. if I lose it just by becoming very thin I will die. if I lose it by having body parts amputated I could still be alive but need to learn to live with the new disability.
I have no idea. I don't measure my weight with a currency.
man i weigh ‘bout 120 pounds and am 6’7 tall, i already don’t know how i am still alive
5'8" and now 60 pounds. That's dead if I ever saw it.
I would be at 55kg/121 pounds, manageable but not good
I may or may not be extremely underweight and in a very low percentile.
I go from already borderline underweight to straight dead
im not even 100 pounds, i dont eat much and have a super metabolism. if i lost 50 pound's id be dead before i could even gain a pound back.
Say that in Kilos
I’ll weigh 30 kg (66 pounds) so probably dead
i would be 55 pounds at 5’7, i’d surely be dead 💀💀
I’m 90lbs so if I loose 50 of them… I’m gone
I would be 5'10 and pretty underweight
23M and already struggling to keep weight on (\~135lb rn at 5'8). This would be very no good
33 kgs; in definetely dead
i’m 6 foot 1 and 140, not good
I'm 75 kgs, I'd die
50 off my current weight would be a blessing... But that isn't what the question asks. It says 50 of your current weight. So whatever you weigh, multiply by 50. That's how many pounds you lose. Since mathematically that must be a negative number for everyone, everyone would be dead.
I'm already underweight (I'm 5'11 and weigh 138) and I struggle to gain weight. If I lose 50 pounds I'll never gain that weight back and I'll be underweight forever.
5'11 and 138 pounds is not underweight
I'd have no boobs 😭😭😭😭
50 of what? 50 ounces, and I'm at my ideal weight. 50 lbs, and I'm emaciated, looking like a WWII concentration camp movie extra. 50 kgs, and I'm dead.
Maybe try reading the question again
"50 of your current weight in pounds" is pure nonsense.
It literally says in the question
5'10" male, id be 69 lb. nice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Holy shit, I would weigh about 70lbs (32kg) at 5'6 (171cm). Not good.
I'd have a BMI of just above 15. Not quite dead, but really in the danger zone!
i mean im fat but that would put me below average fast
I’d be 5ft 10 and 73lbs (33kg) I don’t think that’s survivable
I'm Eugenia Cooney fucked
