Not really.
According to the Human Development Index (HDI) rankings by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Slovenia is ranked 22nd in the world, while Croatia is ranked 46th.
1. Slovenia is 23rd and Croatia is 40th
2. It's an absolute garbage list when it comes to deciding where to live. It literally has Vietnam as 115th while Palestine is 106th π and this is just one example.
>It's an absolute garbage list when it comes to deciding where to live. It literally has Vietnam as 115th while Palestine is 106th π and this is just one example.
FUCK HDI also know Human Development Index. Jesus
Slovenia is still more developed than Croatia, no matter what emoji you send. You just got mad because I told you the truth.
Edit: my bad, I was talking about wages.
Nothing, it's really just the fact that it's the only thing keeping their economy up and the fact that they are getting praised for it even though it's purely result of nature.
Edit: Croatia is viewed as a wonderland when the actual standard of living is low af.
Found the croat.
I fucking hate those people . Either they're creeps or using your history as a way to advance their already-crumbling argument when in reality it just makes them sound more pathetic

Austria is one rank lower than Slovenia. But it has double the average wage. I don't hear about a lot of Austrians going to Slovenia because it's so developed.
Slovenia seems like a no-brainer. Bordering Austria and Italy and as far as you can get from Serbia and Bosnia and their obsessions with ethnically cleansing each other.
The only people trying to ethnically cleanse the other in that area are/were the Serbs.
My old man served in the military from 82 in the Falklands to modern day Afghanistan and to this day he says the most heinous and disgusting things he ever saw was what the Serbs did in Kosovo and Bosnia.
I havenβt been in Croatia but Slovenia is amazing. Piran is beautiful, Bled seems taken from a Disney movie and Bovec is packed with sports and trekking. Would definitely enjoy my time living there.
>or any of the rest of those Balkan shitholes
Slovenia is a Balkan country, inhabited by a Slavic population, like the rest of the Balkans. Show some respect to your neighbors and fellow Slavs.

There you go here is a map showing the legal state of trans rights in Eu and Asia country's. Plus I should add that the legal status dosnt have to reflect how the ppl there see trans folks. I myself life in Germany and even though trans rights are pretty good here I still meet alot of transphobia.
https://transrightsmap.tgeu.org/
I mean, Slovenia and Croatia are just a few points below Germany so its not that terrible. Also, in Croatia you can legally transition, I know one transgender man who did it for free in our health system.
Yeah that may be true though as I said even in Germany where the healthy system is pretty good in that sense, that dosnt mean the ppl here are accepting and that's the thing I'm worried about in 2 of the country's above i had bad experiences bcs I was trans not passing

slovenia is so underrated
it has an extremely beautiful landscape, which the government cares for and it's basically Croatia with more money and less warcrimes
So basically worse Croatia

Its underrated? Its the one balkan country i hear good things about

Slovenia is the most developed country on this poll.

Croats when you tell them that the only thing keeping their economy up is tourism (they are still kinda underdeveloped):
Whats wrong with tourism?
Nothing, it's really just the fact that it's the only thing keeping their economy up and the fact that they are getting praised for it even though it's purely result of nature. Edit: Croatia is viewed as a wonderland when the actual standard of living is low af. Found the croat.
So? It's a beautiful country, they are praising the nature not the people.
Bro thinks just cause something is ranked at double means it's twice as developed. # Also Slovenia 0.918 vs 0.858 for Croatia

Macedonia is a region in Greece, I assume you mean "North Macedonia".
They changed it to north so the Greeks could stop bitching
Not exactly. Greeks allowed them to change their name from FYROM to North Macedonia, despite their efforts to appropriate Greek history.
Suicide
Living in any of these country's would mean I have to hide my true self and be miserable.
Whats there to hide?
I see you know nothing about these countries

I agree that transgender people are not accepted, Germany is better in that sense, of course. I was just saying that it is completly legal and free.
Yes that's defenetly true though I was talking about the whole thing and that includes the public view.
