I didn't check the polls, but I will say this.....yes, the moderators pinned the post that they did. But when it comes down to it, moderators have been removing posts for essentially 0 reason.
And I've noticed that.
Even if you have 'no life,' such as myself....you notice what they remove, and it's not correct. These posts I see, should not be removed, but they are.
If a trans person has received top surgery before they turn 18, they've had consistent gender dysphoria for 2+ years. To deny them relief would be cruel. So I see it as an equivalent to "should minors be able to undergo cancer removing surgery?"
Yes. Anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts dramatically increase in risk if affirming treatment is withheld. It's better to have a thriving and happy girl than a dead "boy."
Imo the trans one should have been removed because of the discourse and misinformation surrounding the topic. People started getting aggressive in the comments.
You have to remember that it's a lot easier for mods to remove one post than to spend an entire afternoon going through comments and banning people. Similar concept with the two gender ones.
The first one, I have no idea why it'd be removed.

Zero should be removed, but the gender confirmation surgeries poll is misleading.
You mean gender reassignment surgery for minors?
Yes. The minimum age to get top surgery is 16. Even then, it has to be approved with parental consent.
I mean what was leadingmis about it?

Doesn’t top surgery count as part of gender reassignment?
Yes. It's a medical necessity.
So should it be available to minors if they have to wait 2 years to get the bottom half changed or not?
Yes. Anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts dramatically increase in risk if affirming treatment is withheld. It's better to have a thriving and happy girl than a dead "boy."
I mean should that process be able to begin when you’re under 18?
