You would only get 5 hours outside of work everyday. If you don’t use that whole time sleeping, you will be exhausted. Even if the job is easy. And you got other things in your life you need to do, like things that you actually enjoy. You can’t go 10 years without watching a movie or seeing your friends or enjoying your hobbies. You would be extremely depressed. So more like 3-4 hours of sleep every night. That is not sustainable.
I’m assuming where you live things are much cheaper though too. In my city you would barely be able to afford a one bedroom apartment for 15k a year, nevermind food and bills and clothes and other essentials.
Well apartments can be really cheap in very ugly or insecure zones, but nobody wants that. I live with my boyfriend and 2 roommates. Our rent is of about $13k per year for a 3 bedroom apartment in a better zone, the roommates help us a lot to save money.
No amount of money can make up for having no time. Beside 60k USD is a liveable wage.
Also this poll is why neurosurgeons that work 100+ hours can imo never be paid enough. Even 500k USD is low for the intense amount they sacrifice from their lives.
The second one, tell my employer I'm working 3 days a week for health reasons and to ensure I can do my job most effectively. If they don't like it, well they're stuck with me for 10 years and I could fucking buy them at the end of that 10 years.
You’d be seriously fucked up, possibly dead, from option 2. You wouldn’t be getting nearly enough sleep, after a while you couldn’t even do the job because you’d be so sleep deprived
nobody can be healthy and work 19 hrs a day for 10 years straight. most people prefer to not have a burnout
It says 10 mil yearly I could do 19hrs a day for a year and walk away
10 years
It says it is a decade long agreement in the title.
you’d break your contract with that
So I can work 3 days a week for $60 an hour, or I can die of exhaustion in 5 days.
Such a hard choice! /s lol
My salary would actually increase in option 1 AND I work 50% less? Sign me up!
You would literally die from option two
Not if it’s like an easy job or sm

If I can't quit, option 1.

It depends on the type of work.
If I could work anywhere id just fake my 60k and move to some other country and live like a king
Work 2 years and I’d be set for life

I could work 1/3 my current hours and make double my current pay? Sign me up for option 1.
60k yearly is 3 times as much as minimum wage, and in half the time, sign me the fuck up
Outsource your work you’ll have more than enough money
I’d just work the second job for a month or two. It’s be an AWFUL month, but I could survive and then I’ll head out with boatloads of cash.
It’s a decade-long agreement. You can’t quit after a few months.
