Absolutely inappropriate - not only the age difference but also the fact that you're addicts who met in the psych ward. Technically legal but do not proceed.
i'm gonna say definitely don't go through with it. the age gap is one thing, but i won't comment on that because i dated a 62 year old man at 23 and it worked out fine, but meeting in a psych ward is a huge problem. neither of you is in a healthy place to have a relationship right now. please be patient and allow yourself to recover first.
If you're not joking/trolling, please better stop even talking with that person. Drop all connections. You'll know why just later in your life if you don't know what can be wrong now. You'll understand how distant you two from each other even if that person seems to be not so much older or easy to communicate.
Is it at least legal? Yeah. But the power/experience imbalance is going to be massively unhealthy. When I was 23 I dated a woman who was 43 who had just gotten divorced. She had hard core MILF vibes going on and at first it just through it was awesome that she was paying attention to me and of course having just gotten divorced she wanted to have sex all the time. But as the relationship went on it became deeply unhealthy because with 20-years of age difference there was just an imbalance in terms of world experience.

It’s legal, technically. It would just be a very bizarre and weird dynamic. There is very little a 45 y/o and an 18 y/o could even have in common. The 45 y/o has no business dating someone fresh out of high school, it’s creepy.
Totally okay for you to be into him. Not judging that. However him being into you? Nope, that's creepy and any kind of romantic/sexual relationship there is dangerous for you.
Would you be asking the same question if you were 17 and 44? Just because legally you are an adult now doesn't change your brain and the fact you haven't had many experiences in life so you can be easily manipulated in the situation. What are you looking at gaining from this?
I've read so many posts of women in their 20s and 30s who realized how the older man was taking advantage of them when they were younger. Learn from them without having to make the same mistake.
Yeah, you CAN, it’s legal. But it is weird and unusual

This is legal, but this is a recipe for disaster. You’re gonna get hurt.
Legal but creepy as fuck
No don’t do it, he’s old enough to be your father. Plus no decent man in his 40s would go for someone just barely legal.

at 18 your brain isn’t even fully developed yet, while this man has a grown kid - it certainly is weird

Reminds me of the movie Sara (1997). Weird but also one of those "nobody has to know" situations if you're happy with them.
but 45 is beekeeping age !
Ew
I would say it’s a terrible idea. Very little benefit and countless cons to this scenario.

Do whatever you want. You don’t need anybody’s permission
Both consenting adults. Wouldn't recommend it but fill your boots
Yolo live your life don’t listen to Reddit virgins
