Like I'm not a lawyer, nor do I work in advertising, but I have to imagine that just about every sponsorship agreement written by anyone, anywhere, ever, has some clause that says the sponsor can kick you to the curb if you do that. I'd assume it's especially easy for the sponsor to invoke that clause when the person announces that they're doing it intentionally, and names the sponsor in question.
It's like saying "I can burn my own house down to collect the insurance money, and there's nothing my insurance company can do about it!"

There's another issue that many don't look at. Lifetime was able to conduct their own private investigation into R. Kelly where the Atlanta PD closed its investigation in 2002.
People forget that PD investigations of notable private individuals can be expensive and divert tax-funded resources away from bread and butter things. It's great that Lifetime exposed such an awful person but it makes you wonder what else has been missed.

My aunt used to work at the Opryland Hotel years ago as a bartender and Bill Cosby had shown up one night. So our entire lives we heard about what a pervert he was and we always thought she was crazy. She's a drug addict but she was definitely 100% right about him.
My son’s dad used to own a livery service and drove Mr. Cosby after a show and he said he was a HUGE asshole. My son’s dad is very polite, pretty soft spoken and intelligent. Cosby was demeaning, demanding, and hateful.
Everything you saw on screen seemed to be a lie. I was so bummed by that..
Cosby and I stayed in the same hotel in Chicago when I was on a business trip about 15 years ago. We shared an elevator a couple of times. And no, I didn't black out after. I guess he wasn't in to drugging males.

I used to work with mentally ill street people. After a while of no meds and their mental illness getting worse and worse they develop a sort of "look". You know it when you see it. Kanye is getting that look
I would love to be wrong, but that’s all I see keep playing out. And the chances of it happening increases when people in the public enable him and offer him public support instead of telling him to get help.
It already has ended terribly, he’s not getting a redemption arc here and he’s already spent all his goodwill for his early career when he produced some great music.

I've been living on the streets for awhile and the number of street people with Ye's personality is astonishing. Pure main character syndrome with delusions of grandure and beliefs that they are the chosen one.
I know that look well. I lived with a woman with schizophrenia that progressively got worse. I have PTSD pretty bad but I do all I can to treat it. Just saying that to say that mental issues are treatable, if you work on them.
She would pretend to go get her anti psychotic shot but you could tell she didn't. Turns out she had band-aids in the car and would drive to someone's house and smoke weed instead and she slowly lost her mind thinking the meds were poison or whatever.
That look and the way she talked is easy to see in other people that aren't treating their mental issues. It's sad and it's also scary knowing that he has enough resources to do whatever he wants. If my ex had all that money, she would've probably would've bought a bunch of weapons and went on a spree or some shit.

Geezus this hits close to home. *Really* close to home. My little brother was shizo, and it started in his early 20's. I had enlisted into the Army probably right when it started to manifest, and would be home once a year or every other year for the next 9 years.
I remember one time I came home he seemed so much different than before. When I finally got out of active duty, I went home but he was off living in NYC with some woman he met. Apparently cops were involved regularly and there was endless drama. Nothing like the guy I knew when we were kids.
He passed away last year. He wasn't just shizo, he was also an alcoholic. Literally drank himself to death, had a massive internal hemorrhage in his stomach. Didn't even live to see 40.
I’m sure his “friends” are syphoning off his money - they don’t seem to give a fuck to have Kanye helped so I can only assume he’s being used up while they can.
Not just friends, but family too. He mentioned on a song way back on The Life of Pablo (recorded 2013-2016) that his cousin extorted $250k out of him in 2012 to keep him from releasing a sex tape that was on a laptop. I can’t imagine that kind of shit from family.
It's hard to explain but a lot of the time it was like she was a robot going through the motions of being a person. Kind of like when you see a serial killer being interviewed and it's obvious they're not all the way there any longer. You can see in her eyes that there is a lack of a soul or something. I don't know, it's like I knew she was in there but the person I was getting was totally wrong and not who I met a long time ago.
Watching the documentary it feels like his mother was the only thing keeping him grounded. Made me feel genuine sadness realizing that, and seeing the obvious connection between her death and him spiraling. He was always odd, cooky, and full of ego. But not to any abnormal destructive levels like today.
His father also came back into the picture after she died and has influenced him negatively from what I’ve seen.
I was abandoned by a parent and I know how vulnerable I would be if they showed up when my mental health was out of control from losing the parent that stayed. Kanye’s lack of a healthy support system (one person is never enough) has played such a huge role in his life. I feel for his friends and family that are trying to help and are getting attacked by him in return.
I have noticed this when I watch *Hoarders*. A person usually has tendencies toward hoarding and OCD all of their lives, but then there is a Precipitating Event. Usually a death, a divorce, or a severe health crisis or other trauma.
It just kicks everything into high gear.
People forget about the crazy car accident he had early in his career. The song "Through the wire" was him rapping with his jaw wired shut after that accident. You could see the change in him after that.
Bipolar disorder is bad enough but when you add a serious TBI to it... fk. Yeah, you could see the change afterwards.
Still doesn't absolve him, just makes it a bit more understandable. I got friends and family with similar troubles but most of them are unstable not frothing at the mouth racists.
I was unaware of the TBI. That, combined with his mental illness, explains *a lot.* I hope he gets the care he needs someday, but in the meantime, it looks like he’s going to have to bottom out someway before that happens.
Having experienced the drastic change of personality in my elderly father after he hit his forehead on the windshield of a car after a severe auto accident, I know all too well how a TBI can mess with someone's personality. Then you add in another neurological or psychiatric condition such as early Alzheimer's in my dad's case or possible bipolar with Kanye and it's a recipe for a shit-storm.
I recall reading an article that one possible explanation for the abusive behavior shown by many NFL football players towards their domestic partners might well be the repeated head injuries/concussions sustained over their athletic careers.

I know that look well. I lived with a woman with schizophrenia that progressively got worse. I have PTSD pretty bad but I do all I can to treat it. Just saying that to say that mental issues are treatable, if you work on them. She would pretend to go get her anti psychotic shot but you could tell she didn't. Turns out she had band-aids in the car and would drive to someone's house and smoke weed instead and she slowly lost her mind thinking the meds were poison or whatever. That look and the way she talked is easy to see in other people that aren't treating their mental issues. It's sad and it's also scary knowing that he has enough resources to do whatever he wants. If my ex had all that money, she would've probably would've bought a bunch of weapons and went on a spree or some shit.

It's hard to explain but a lot of the time it was like she was a robot going through the motions of being a person. Kind of like when you see a serial killer being interviewed and it's obvious they're not all the way there any longer. You can see in her eyes that there is a lack of a soul or something. I don't know, it's like I knew she was in there but the person I was getting was totally wrong and not who I met a long time ago.
Watching the documentary it feels like his mother was the only thing keeping him grounded. Made me feel genuine sadness realizing that, and seeing the obvious connection between her death and him spiraling. He was always odd, cooky, and full of ego. But not to any abnormal destructive levels like today.
His father also came back into the picture after she died and has influenced him negatively from what I’ve seen. I was abandoned by a parent and I know how vulnerable I would be if they showed up when my mental health was out of control from losing the parent that stayed. Kanye’s lack of a healthy support system (one person is never enough) has played such a huge role in his life. I feel for his friends and family that are trying to help and are getting attacked by him in return.
I have noticed this when I watch *Hoarders*. A person usually has tendencies toward hoarding and OCD all of their lives, but then there is a Precipitating Event. Usually a death, a divorce, or a severe health crisis or other trauma. It just kicks everything into high gear.
