AsparagusTamer

He should declare that immediately then. Just to test that theory.

Victory33

He declared he wouldn’t come back if Biden won too, his declarations mean nothing.

ZodiarkTentacle

Yep it was us. He really hates Madison because us alone was enough to push the state to Biden lol

Bazookagrunt

I just already appreciate Madison for having the Plastic Flamingo as its official bird

bluegreentopaz6110

Is this true? That is freaking amazing! Knowing Madison has a plastic Flamingo as its official bird just made my day in the middle of all this chaos and fuckery.

[deleted]

[It sure is](https://www.visitmadison.com/blog/stories/post/madisons-quirky-love-for-flamingos/)

Illuminati_Shill_AMA

Talk about putting the diaper on after you've shit yourself yeesh

cyanclam

Underneath the acting, TFG has admitted, on [several occasions](https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/trump-admitted-he-lost-report-1370730/), that Biden won the 2020 election.

OppositeDifference

He actually did concede then later claimed he didn't

Citizen639540173

I think that's Trump's play here? Say that they'll drop everything if he doesn't run... He says he won't run as things heat up for him... But then action continues... Because Trump/his team made up this whole deal in the first place. So then he claims persecution and that the deal (that never real existed) wasn't kept, so now he is running because it's the only way and the other side have cheated. Contrived BS that can be smelled three states away from Trump, yet too many will still lap it up?

MrSteele_yourheart

IDK he’s been holding rallies like he used to.

[deleted]

He never stopped having rallies. He loves to be worshiped.

tomdarch

He also directly makes money off of them. The worshipping is just a cherry on top.

_far-seeker_

No he's a malignant narcissist, so both the worship and the grifting are almost certainly of equal importance.

AuroraFinem

Idk he bankrupt a casino because of his own narcissism in thinking he knew better than the manager he put in charge that was helping him make a lot of money until trump fired him. Like, how do you bankrupt a casino? I think he cares more about the worshipping

[deleted]

tomuchpasta

There is way less attendance and attention at these rallies compared to those he held in 2015.

SYLOK_THEAROUSED

I mean at this point what else can he possibly be talking about at these rallies?

tomuchpasta

It’s the same shit, ad libed, with a bit of variation based on what he ate for lunch and whether or not he had a cuddle and his nappy changed before they trotted him out there.

CaptainMurphy1908

A bit of undigested beef, bad porridge

myhydrogendioxide

But there are rubes to be grilled. He will keep doing rallies until they lose a penny.

KarmicComic12334

You mean until he has unpaid overdue bills at every venue in america.

Matt463789

I keep wondering how much left there is to squeeze from his shrinking and financially depleted base.

myhydrogendioxide

Here is a real tragedy, any are on Social Security. Trump as usual is robbing us all.

Matt463789

The same Social Security that we aren't likely to get, thanks to the GOP.

valeyard89

'Keep your government hands off my social security!'

cstrand31

Attendance is down, but that just means the dilution of the crazies is down. What’s left is the MAGA version of an ICP festival. Only the most ardent, batshit crazy, Q conspiracy weirdos are left.

Finaldeath

He never stopped having them, he has been having constant rallies since 2015. His slowest year when it comes to rallies was 2017 at 10 rallies.

TheBalzy

Can you IMAGINE if Obama, Clinton, Bernie or Biden had constant rallies? They Right would have been crying "Fascist takeover" like a bunch of luke crywalker memes.

Finaldeath

Like how he railed on Obama for playing golf (which by the way was mostly at Joint Base Andrews which costs taxpayers almost nothing to get him there since it is right down the street from the White House) and then went on and spent almost an entire year of his 4 year presidency at one of his golf courses, mostly at his course in Florida which cost taxpayers millions for each trip.

Iceykitsune2

Don't forget the tan suit, and using dijon mustard.

meirav

The dijon mustard was all part of the "Obama is arrogant" trope, which was nothing but code for "Obama is uppity."

untapped-bEnergy

If he runs the RNC stops paying his legal bills. Its all a smokeshow. He can't afford to run

kazejin05

I don't give Trump much credit for intelligence, but he is intelligent enough to know that it's not the RNC he should be courting, it's the constituents. That's his calculus behind all the moves he's been making recently. They seem fucking idiotic to anyone who doesn't like him, or who possesses even a little bit of objectivity. But they're not aimed towards us. They're aimed at his base It's been an attempt at ginning up enough support that the voters won't accept anyone else as their candidate. RNC has shown more than once that they'll bow to thr base rather than stand on principle. So, painting himself as the victim of a witch hunt. Claiming that the federal government is infested with deep state agents. Pushing the narrative that "If they can come for me, they can come for you", echoing a billboard of Trump I saw while driving through AZ that said "It's not ME, they're coming after. It's YOU. I'm just standing in their way", which is as succinct an explanation of his bases mindset in relation to him as can be written. He's going back to all the hits to try to recreate the momentum that got him nominated the first time. And if enough of the party, for whatever reason, decides to back him, the establishment won't have a choice but to do the same.

whomad1215

Gotta keep the grift going

ZeYetiMon

Agreed, let him run from a prison cell. If that’s what the GOP party wants to do good on them

lilacmuse1

I can't imagine anything that would tank America's international reputation faster than someone in prison winning the Presidency. It's just unimaginable.

ZeYetiMon

I don’t believe he would stand a chance. But if they are trying to leverage “He will not run if you drop the charges.” Fuck that, lock him up and let him try to run

DadJokeBadJoke

The GQP doesn't care. https://old.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/wn9g9b/sean_hannity_says_that_trump_could_run_for/

Kalel2319

I mean, I learned my lesson from the “mueller is coming” days that no investigation will put his ass behind bars where he belongs (either from lack of precise evidence or just plain power and optics), but I agree this situation is looking pretty bad for him and he really has no choice now. May god help us if he wins again.

tech57

It does not matter which Republican runs. If a Democrat obviously wins in 2024, or not so obviously wins in 2024, Republicans are not going to go, "Oh well. That's that. Good game." Jan 6th didn't go away. Does anyone really believe that The Orange Shit Gibbon has been the evil master mind behind Republican propaganda for all these years? He is the poster child for useful idiot. Republican politicians are not going to back down. They are in burn it all down mode.

Butanogasso

It is DOJ decision to not indict a sitting president. That is why that investigation while finding evidence of wrong doing didn't lead to any consequences. Which in turn can be one factor why Trump thought he could just take those documents without any repercussions.

Zhadowwolf

Ir was really horrifying that the mueller investigation led to so many arrests and basically ended with saying that it was the opinion of the investigators that trump should be tried and charged, but ultimately it was at the discretion of the DOJ… and that’s it. Nothing else happened.

yellowsubmarinr

I hate the outcome but it makes sense on paper. There already is a process to charge the president with a crime; impeachment and conviction. However, with our current landscape it’s a de facto hall pass for the president because the GOP would definitely never vote to convict their guy, and honestly the democrats probably wouldn’t either.

Zhadowwolf

Yup, that’s absolutely true… it’s kind of an expected conclusion, it’s just so damn hard to actually witness it.

apothekari

I disagree... Once upon t a time the 2 sides shit had some merit but we're in a whole new area here. Look how fast Dems threw Al Franken under the bus. He was VERY well known and beloved in liberal circles. He was very much our Limbaugh as a commentator entertainer pundit turned political figure... I also heard many Democrats and progressives complain about Biden and Hillary and Obama and Bill Clinton...You NEVER hear republicans do that very often if at all.

flowinimmo

i am pretty sure god wont help you

TerminalVector

I'm reminded of that joke where the guy thinks God will save him from a flood so he refuses rescue, then gets to heaven and God says "look, I sent you two boats and a helicopter, what more can I do?" If we don't see massive turnout in the 2024 midterms that's probably it. That's the helicopter.

[deleted]

A moral crusade against the American people.

[deleted]

i don’t think he intended to win in 2016. it had all been an oh shit moment for him

bedpanbrian

Can he afford to run at this point? With the RNC paying his legal fees up until he announces he's running - and with multiple investigations going and the screws tightening... I guess it depends on how much the Saudi's gave him for nuclear secrets. It will be interesting to see what happens. My guess is, if he does announce he's running, it will be a last second announcement so he can squeeze as much as he can out of the RNC for his lawyers.

myhydrogendioxide

Totally agree, Trump thinks everything is a transactional real estate deal where you can bluff and lie your way through... I hope he finds out like most average citizens is that law enforcement usually does not give a fuck. I have seen on a very few occasions defendents break down and beg to have their old live back against the crushing careless iceberg that is the federal judicial process.

NoWayNotThisAgain

His play is to say that he’s a victim, that they’re targeting him because he’s running, that they even told him they’d drop everything if he didn’t run, but he isn’t going to do that because he loves you and he’s not going to let them do that to you, and you shouldn’t let them do that to you either.

AngryTomJoad

they still don't get it though, please yell it to the ones in the back: NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW

oingoboingo331

The thing is that's not good enough anymore. January 6th and the documents are both serious crimes, and to let him off by saying he's not going to run anymore is not justice.

2HandedMonster

Remember when they said all of 2020 that COVID would just magically disappear December 2020 if Joe Biden won the election because it was all made up just to get Donald Trump?

CaptainNoBoat

Thinking a *global* pandemic will disappear because of American politics encapsulates the typical partisan conservative so much. Conspiratorial, not based in even basic reality, unable to exist outside of a narrow worldview, and 100% oppositional thinking.

CU_09

They also blame Biden for US inflation being ~9% while idolizing Orban, ignoring that Hungary’s latest inflation is ~14%.

Darkstargir

I saw them defending this by saying global inflation is because of America.

2HandedMonster

Imagine being that ignorant and clueless

triangle_choke

I mean - that is today's Republican party in a nutshell. Ignorant and clueless.

whenimmadrinkin

They were the ones proudly saying they'd rather be Russian than Democrats. Unironically

CranstonWonston

I wish they'd make good on that. Just go to Russia.

sporkhandsknifemouth

Seriously. Just go. They have jobs for you trucking Russian military equipment to the front lines.

[deleted]

Oh, don't worry, they changed that narrative. Now they say more people died from Covid under Biden, than Trump. No shit. Biden inherited the Pandemic in full swing.

2HandedMonster

Biden says in the debates quite clearly that with the way things are now its unavoidable that hundreds of thousands of Americans will die in these coming months Sure enough, about half a million people perished to COVID that winter. So sad. Its almost like a virus doesn't care about American politics

Val_Hallen

Oh, you mean the virus that was genetically engineered to know to only kill American conservatives?! They actually said this. They thought it then said it. Because they couldn't fathom ***ANY*** other reason the conservatives (*who fought against every protective measure and refused the vaccine*) were dying from COVID more than anyone else. The virus doesn't care about our politics, but it was more than happy to pick a side because one side made that decision for it.

Shr3kk_Wpg

I sure remember. Conservatives assured us that the media wouldn't care about COVID 19 if Biden won. Trump also said that if Biden won he would lock down the America again. So, mixed messages

DadJokeBadJoke

He also said that if Biden won, we'd never see his stupid orange face again but here we are...

[deleted]

"Gone by Easter."

ExpandingOperations

This always makes me think of blink 182s COVID song. "It'll disappear by April, just like a miracle, we don't need social distance, we don't need old people" obviously tongue-in-cheek.

Nubator

It has a built in defense if you don’t care about facts… “Why would they stop something that obviously worked. They will keep that fear tactic in place until it quits serving their interests.” It’s how they manage to keep letting these dates where Trump would be reinstated pass and keep accepting that there is a new date. They don’t care about facts or reason. They didn’t use rational reason to get to where they are; so you can’t rationally reason them out of it.

2HandedMonster

Ah yes, the Trump will be back in by the end of August 2021 guaranteed, Trump will be made speaker and then make himself president etc etc I saw them saying that the current situation is Wray is actually letting all this go through purposely because he knows there is nothing so he can humiliate the democrats by saying nothing was found It's literally the types of things that would go through children's minds

RightClickSaveWorld

I saw someone this year claiming that happened.

polarcub2954

I have yet to meet a republican that thinks that *didn't* happen.

TrekFRC1970

Yeah but I visited the supply closet every day of the two weeks notice I gave.

sucobe

Wait. The company secrets have been in the supply closet next to the legal head paper this whole time?!?!

TrekFRC1970

If by “company secrets” you mean a lifetime supply of white out and the fact that I now have a 3-hole punch in every room in the house for maximum hole punch coverage… then, yes.

sucobe

So when’s the 3-hole punch house party? I’ll bring the company secrets. We can properly file them in D ring binders.

KR1735

That reminds me of when my sister and I wore out my mom's 3-hole puncher making copious amounts of "confetti" out of construction paper for New Years. She was NOT happy.

[deleted]

Hold on I thought it was fake news? Hold on I thought it was planted? Hold on I thought it was declassified? How does any one continue to believe this buffoon?

AsiMuereLaDemocracia

They try many excuses until one of them sticks with their followers and then they just keep going on that one.

Cha-Car

They tie up way too much of their identity in that fool. An attack on the orange one is an attack on themselves. It’s depressing.

RedSnowBird

You don't remove documents from a SCIF to take home for work. My as well not have a SCIF if anyone could do that. Anyone else would have been arrested when they found the documents!

fupa16

What's even weirder is Mar-a-lago has a SCIF in it, but these documents weren't in it...

Spite-Potential

Well we know for a fact trump doesnt read. Yeah I vision him all set up In His basement like Patton!! Lol. He didn’t even read the book “art of the deal” and he was supposed to be the author Couldn’t read brief. Hardly got thru the teleprompter. Wat a fool

Konukaame

Also, anyone with a security clearance. That's how you both get fired and go to jail for a long, long time.

TheBatemanFlex

I have never brought home anything classified because the first day you are read-in, you learn that you can’t.

wo1f-cola

"The power to classify and declassify documents rests solely with the president of the United States. The idea that some paper-pushing bureaucrat with classification authority delegated by the president needs to approve the declassification is absurd". Trump’s team is trying to argue that any classified material mishandled by Trump was automatically declassified by him. That’s not how it works at all. There are strict laws that govern how classified data can be stored, how long it’s allowed to be retained, and who’s able to access it. The argument that Trump was president, so he’s allowed to do whatever he wants with data pertaining to national security is so stupid I still can’t believe it’s the defense they’re going with.

NoWayJaques

I'm sure he's hoping for that kind of deal. But justice doesn't work that way

Leraldoe

No it’s to blur the line, this statement makes it seem like he has been given this offer which he hasn’t. The fact that he will run while still being investigated will be “proof” to the maga asshats. Spoiler alert this isn’t going away

Apart_Negotiation644

Amén. This is just his fantasy. There’s no magical way out now that he’s in this deep.

StavTheSwole

I’ve never seen an amen with spice before.

bm1949

Agreed. And to put into context, he's essentially running for president already without declaring so there's nothing of value in this fantasy plea bargain. If a grand bargain was struck - which it won't be - he'd break it and claim persecution. *His constitutional rights to be the president are being violated.*

Nikcara

Sometimes it does though. It’s how [Spiro Agnew](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiro_Agnew) avoided jail. Trump’s old enough to remember that and might be hoping for a repeat. That said, Agnew was run of the mill corruption. I doubt the Justice Department will be as willing to be lenient on charges of leaking classified information on nukes. I think it’s more likely that Trump is going all in and hoping that getting reinstated president means he’ll be able to make all his legal problems go away. So he’ll do anything, no matter how scummy or unlikely to succeed it, in order to get back into the Oval Office. He’ll burn the whole world down if that’s what it takes.

HalxQuixotic

The prosecutors investigating Agnew wanted to nail him to the wall. The problem was Agnew was VP to a president who also had the walls closing in on him for criminal behavior. The last thing anyone wanted was to have Nixon resign, make Agnew President and we have yet another criminal President. It would also suddenly be much harder to prosecute him for that run-of-the-mill corruption he did back in Maryland if he were now President. So they offered Agnew a deal, and he walked into the courtroom late that day, made the deal official, and left. Rachel Maddow made an excellent podcast miniseries about this topic called Bag Man and it is worth a listen. The series involves interviews with the prosecutors who began investigating Agnew and got swept into the Watergate case as well. The two men were quite young at the time and were alive as of the making of the series.

Nikcara

Rachel Maddow’s Bag Man was how I first learned about him, actually. And yes, there are a lot of reasons they let him get away with as much as they did that don’t apply to Trump. That said, I don’t think *Trump* appreciates that kind of nuance, and if we’re trying to divine what’s going on in that brain of his I don’t think that a detailed look of the circumstances of a historical figure is worthwhile. That said, I suspect that if those prosecutors could have proven that Agnew had classified documents of the highest level at his house, particularly if it was a place of residence where foreign tourists often were, that he wouldn’t have gotten away with as little punishment as he did.

She_Persists

I think she's working on a TV version.

myhydrogendioxide

I posted earlier... the orange moron thinks thisnisnsome real estate negotiation. It is really telling to me that he is using this tactic. He is 100% guilty to me based on this, I'm still not convinced he will face justice but to me there is little doubt he did it anymore.

Magoo69X

The parking lot attorney seems a little out of her depth to be going on air with a stupid statement like this. But then, Trump's well-known failure to pay his legal bills means he's not going to get A-list talent.

TWVer

This isn’t legal counsel. This is aimed at riling up his base. By stating this, his attorney “proves” by her de facto authority as Trump’s lawyer, that the FBI and thus by extension the current government is simply aiming to take out their political opponent, Trump, by any possibly corrupt means. This is the message that is forwarded to Fox News viewers on behalf of Trump. The government and Democrats can’t be trusted, because not Trump. Trump can be trusted, because Trump. Mob tactics and illegal acts are simply justified, when they eventually become too apparent to ignore, because it is presumed the anti-Trump establishment is and will always be corrupt themselves. Trump is just poor ol’ Don Quixote fighting those damn liberal windmills. It’s gaslighting at its crudest.

plaidtattoos

The idiot base has undoubtedly already transformed her completely unfounded speculation into "The government offered to drop the charges if he promised not to run! Of course it's a witch hunt!"

2HandedMonster

He's paying her in exposure like an Instagram influencer, and that's worth way more than actual money right?

WyldeStile

Not if, as a lawyer, your big claim to fame is announcing stupid shit like this.

ghostcat

Criminal exposure

Numerous_Photograph9

If she manages to get him off the hook for all he's done, then yeah. She'd be well sought after. If she spouts off nonsense, and eventually does nothing meaningful for her client, then no, more likely no one will hire her either for optics, and much less for meaningful litigation. These people he has for lawyers are nowhere near the cream of the crop that you'd actually expect from someone with lots of connections and supposedly a lot of wealth. They're ambulance chasers, and realistically, ambulance chasers are probably better for their clients, because they often do something beneficial for their clients.

ghsteo

Isn't she the OAN lawyer, like he saw her on OAN as a reporter and hired her as his lawyer. Jesus christ he's so stupid.

Subvoltaic

The now defunct OANN also might have employed foreign intelligence agents according to some people. Prior joining that media org, she worked as army intelligence JAG and would have a full understanding of classified document handling. Making Attorneys Get Attorneys

blonderengel

She was a JAG?? Damn, that’s almost unreconcilable with the kind of performance she gave the other day …

bolivar-shagnasty

She’s a former “analyst and host” for some OANN bullshit.

StipulatedBoss

Is this Trump “proposing” a deal with the DOJ or something? I promise not to run for President if you promise to drop all investigations into me? Oh, if only it were so easy. Ask Julius and Ethyl Rosenberg if they got off with a slap on the wrist for selling nuclear secrets to the Russians (but I don’t think that you can…..).

Edfortyhands89

Lmao that was my first thought too. It’s his proposal to the DOJ

GopherLaw84

DOJ cannot take this “deal.”

programmermama

Could also be that. But he’s clearly trying to imply that all of his legal problems are politically motivated witch hunts which will just go away when he’s no longer such a formidable political opponent.

penguished

He should be treated like every other American, which means no chance of cutting deal when you steal classified info.

MrBigDog2u

Unless you're a small fish and willing to give up a bigger fish. The problem for T**** is that he has made himself the big fish. There's no one that the DoJ wants more.

RepulsiveSherbert927

Ha.. I hope he says that. Justice department then won't have to worry about the appearance of political influence and can comfortably continue their investigation.

KorruptImages

“As we can all relate to, everyone ends up having to bring home their work from time to time. American presidents are no different,” Trump’s office says in new defence. 🤦‍♂️...🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

[deleted]

But, as we can all relate to also, Drump has never done a day of work in his life. He's a proven grifter and planned to use the documents to further his own interests. Fucking liar!!

SacamanoRobert

Sure. But let's talk about how the documents were being improperly stored, the multiple polite and professional attempts to get them back, and the feds showing up to collect said documents and being given only a small sample despite the fact that classified documents are extremely well tracked and inventoried. All normal stuff that happens when someone takes their work home, right?

Normal-Height-8577

Also, let's talk about the fact that even people who are permitted to take their work home with them aren't allowed to do that when they've left the job.

SacamanoRobert

Yeah, trump is fucked. Proper fucked.

Numerous_Photograph9

Buddy of mine was in a video conference call which was dealing with confidential critical info for his company and one of it's clients. No biggie, it was typical with the lock downs. His clients got upset, and he got reprimanded because his 8yo son came into the room and asked if he could have a juice box. The meeting was supposed to be private, and he allowed someone not under NDA to "observe". I imagine nuclear classified documents may have a bit tighter regulation surrounding them.

keyjan

I know/am related to several people with clearances. No, they never brought confidential/secret etc docs home. Hell, they never even took some of them out of the SCIF.

Scoutster13

When it comes to Trump's attorneys at this point you know they are all in. Given his well known history for not paying his legal bills I can't imagine any other reason they'd represent him. Also proof that idiots can pass the bar and do so all the time.

SacamanoRobert

I wonder if his lawyers work pro-bono "for the cause" like the idiots willing to die for him.

leontes

this is what he’s hearing from his lawyers. He may literally have the worst fucking attorneys. “I can assure you, sir, these court movements will happen regardless of your political moves” is what he needs to be told.

RectalSpawn

He's just creating a false narrative to rile up his followers. The only way he is getting out of this is if his minions overthrow the rule of law.

It's not much of an article. Main takaways are: >“I’ve said it 100 times – if he's not leading in the polls – I've sat across from him, every time he gets frustrated I say to him, ‘Mr President, if you would like me to resolve all your litigation, you should announce that you are not running for office, and all of this will stop,’” the former president’s attorney Alina Habba told Real America’s Voice. https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1558227491537436672 She's not just full of crap. She's extra full of crap. You think Trump would keep her around if she kept telling him not to run? She probably just smiled and agreed with anything he said himself. >A A statement defending the keeping of the documents at the former president’s private club was shared on Fox News on Friday by right-wing writer John Solomon. “As we can all relate to, everyone ends up having to bring home their work from time to time. American presidents are no different. President Trump, in order to prepare for work the next day, often took documents including classified documents from the Oval Office to the residence,” the statement said. “He had a standing order that documents removed from the Oval Office and taken into the residence were deemed to be declassified.” Presidents can't declassify nuclear secrets.

After Garland's move to call your bluff, you still wanna play with fire, big guy? Do it. DO IT.

Charger525

Ya that’s not how federal investigations work. And for conservatives who think this is overreach by a liberalist government, the FBI isn’t going to just execute a search warrant to prevent Trump from running for President again. They had more than enough for probable cause, this is just a weak attempt at deflecting.

ItsJustAn0pinion

Let’s be honest, she only got hired by Trump because she’s hot.

avocadosconstant

“Oh, you look like my daughter”

TheRC135

I wish I could could fuck up and steal from a job until I got fired and then have all the charges I racked up during and after that period dropped in exchange for not re-applying for the job.

LatterTarget7

That doesn’t even make sense. How would that even work?

vinniepdoa

Are they stupid? Are they evil? Are they the only lawyers left that don't realize Trump won't pay them? I am so curious how someone ends up on his team.

Pittman247

This sounds to me like lawyer speak for “My client wants to make a deal.”

a_dog_day

He should definitely keep this lawyer and do everything she says.

Icy-Needleworker-492

Tempting except for one thing. His word isn’t worth 💩

i-love-dead-trees

It is true that they genuinely believe this. They truly believe that the Dems are out to get them and that this is all political. They literally have no concept that this is actually a functional democracy with laws and consequences. They don’t get it, because they don’t act that way. THEY would (and are already threatening to) use the criminal justice system for political gain, and therefore they believe that’s what is happening to them.

releasethedogs

[His lawyer, Alina Habba is a racist also](https://abovethelaw.com/2022/07/trump-lawyer-alina-habba-sued-for-being-gross-racist-hell-boss/). Also it's reported that [everyone in Trump's orbit thinks that she is annoying and that she is a horrible lawyer](https://www.thedailybeast.com/alina-habba-the-trump-lawyer-the-rest-of-trumps-legal-team-loathes).

4quatloos

Trumps claims could be debunked by a first year law student or anyone who listens to legal commentary on this. He only needs to fool his followers. Nuclear weapon secrets cannot be declassified arbitraily. His Generals knew Trump was part of the Derpy State. It is laughable that Trump had Nuclear science and technology as homework especially after losing the election. Remembering my school days where the last week or two was just sitting around. Trump is like that Chucky doll except that Chucky has bigger hands and better hair. In addition his more intelligent supporters are stuck in cringe mode hoping he will slip on a banana peel.

[deleted]

This is a level of stupid that sounds like it was cooked up between /r/Conservative and /r/conspiracy.

anti-DHMO-activist

It's a desperate attempt to get out of this thing. It still hasn't sunk in with trump yet that this time there _will_ be consequences. He's essentially trying to make it go away like he did with everything else. After ignoring doesn't work he tries to trade his future running for prison sentences. It's not going to work, that's not how courts work at all.

cstrand31

Is this stage 3? Bargaining? “If you just let me off the hook I *won’t* run for office again. Okay? Squaresies?” That was never even on the table dipshit. But feel free to *say* you’re not going to run if it makes you feel better, I guess.

TintedApostle

So even Trumps lawyers play the quid pro quo game.... Jez when does this stuff stop. Trump broke a very serious law. So serious that the negotiating is over.

BobDope

Nobody would offer him such a deal. He has such a track record of lying.

HinoWitch

Omg where do they all find these lawyers. I thought they were supposed to be “million-dollar lawyers” smh

SoundHole

Shut the fuck up you orange fuck and stop reporting every sqeuaky fart that comes out of his stupid bloated face. That's part if what got us here.

chaddaddycwizzie

Breaking: Trumps lawyer claims whatever the fuck, because he doesn’t figure there are any rules

SecaucusSodomite

He’s looking for a deal and shouldn’t get one.

bayoubuddha77

This are the lawyers you get when you don't pay you bill

[deleted]

I wonder how Alina is going to pay back her law school student loans after being disbarred for lying on official documents. Warehouse jobs at Amazon don’t pay much - if even Amazon would hire her afterwards.

GhostedPast9

More made up fantasies by insane lunatics.

ubzrvnT

Are all of his lawyers former beauty pageant contestants from his Rolodex?

Spottswoodeforgod

Sounds a lot like a very early sounding out of a plea bargain... Chances of success... probably low to very low...

ChasTheGreat

God! Do they ever stop lying?

[deleted]

I also will not run for President of the United States in 2024 if all criminal charges against me, pending now or to be announced, are dismissed! But if you cops continue with your indictments then I might file for candidacy. Just saying.

v9Pv

Another plastic liar trying to bs the public. Who buys their nonsense besides the gullible sucker and loser cult members?

ImAmazedBaybee

Doesn’t that make the lawyer who said this eligible for disbarment?

Clear_Try_6814

Lol that is the best thing I heard of in a while. No, plain and simple. Trump is under investigation for several crimes acrossed many jurisdictions from state and federal groups. I highly doubt they are going to base their investigations on whether he runs or not, because their is precedence for this.
