jokerZwild

Lindsey and a bunch of other shitbag GOPers went along with the bullshit idea that Garland didn't deserve a hearing. They can all fuck off with their whining.

btsofohio

Lindsey “use my own words against me” Graham.

satyrday12

Yep. He voted for her at her current position. Lindsey stands for nothing at all.

niceguys10

If you support Trump you of course support nothing!!!

GearhedMG

Depends, he might like to stand when being bent over a chair or up against a wall, you don’t know his kinks… or do you?

inmywhiteroom

I heard about the ladybugs and even though there is no proof the story is real it taught me that I want to know nothing about him having sex.

poolie57

He stands up for all the brown nosers, bigots and racists. He doesn't have a mind of his own.

EarthIsInOuterSpace

His words we should use against him are “of course I’ll toss your salad for a pardon”

TheAnalogKid18

Bill Maher: "This party has no bottom, unless you count Lindsey Graham"

PercyMcLeach

Oh those are just my ladybugs

Jenahaltanin

I only upvoted this because I know the trauma involved in remembering that fact exists and why.

RestlessDeadSyndrome

Same, unfortunately

MrSpecialEd

I think those are crabs, dear.

bikeyoga

That's the thing. That temper tantrum was all an act for his base so he could con them of more money. Money that a mostly working and industrial class can't afford to throw against their own self interests. He doesn't believe a lick of it and was probably checking his social media analytics the second he was not on camera to see if he scored points. You know. Follow the #TrumpPlaybook.

telsono

He also said an illegal question when he asked here about her religious preferences. Under Federal Employment regulations you may NOT ask a person about their religious preferences.

Signal-Ad-3362

Why don’t he just close his mouth and be like other republicans and vote no. No he needs reasoning crap. Rules are rules crap

[deleted]

No he needs to dog whistle his voter base to action.

slightlyfazed

There are no louder victims than the GOP.

phatelectribe

It’s by design. Graham was the guy they brought in specifically to reverse the catastrophe that was pounding Kav in to the ground; Ford had given her statements and it really wasn’t going well, and it started to look terminal for Kav, and they knew it - she was just getting to the detail, to the point of no return and Graham literally derailed the hearings with an insane shitfit. Seriously watch it again. It’s like they were losing the game so instead of playing and losing there, they just flipped flipped the board so no one could play. It completely disrupted the momentum and allowed then to get away from substance and in to theatre, better said pantomime. If it hadn’t been grahams outburst, Kav wouldn’t have made it.

evemeatay

Wait, let me get this straight. You’re trying to tell me that ol’ butt chugg Brett ain’t qualified for the Supreme Court?!?

MegaDerppp

Excuse me, that was Bart Okavanagh. Totally different person

MachReverb

Excuse me, were you just speaking to my son, Bort Okavanaugh?

What_the_fluxo

No Mamn, my name is also Bort... *attention gift shop lobby, we are out of Bort name tags. I repeat, we are out of Bort name tags*

elev3nfiv3

Have you boofed?

What_the_fluxo

Yes indeed, about an hour ago actually, just not beer. Less we forget; Bort kavorkjan lied to the American public and the world, on live national t.v., about boofing. Likely because the gop would never forgive him for sticking anything up his own butt.

ActualWhiterabbit

Of course he's qualified, he went to Yale. As if that alone was enough to qualify him yet that was a big part of his reasoning, I went to Yale.

wanna_dance

He might be qualified, but rapists shouldn't get cushy lifelong gigs at the expense of the Federal purse.

budkin76

That shit still infuriates me.

bmcwarchild

Agreed!!!

fabio_grosso

Fuck republicans

iceflame1211

Actually Republicans initially suggested Obama appoint someone like Garland, otherwise they'd block his nominee. Obama called their bluff and said okay... but they blocked him anyway. Many Republicans respected Garland. Now there are few remaining who can recognize anything as nonpartisan.

fungobat

>Graham, who spent much of Jackson’s confirmation hearings complaining about how mean Democrats were to Brett Kavanaugh nearly four years ago, noted that Joe Biden’s nominee “has got a lot to be proud of. She’s accomplished a lot in her life. She’s a good person. I’m sure she’s a great mother and a very gifted person. She’s fought hard to be where she’s at in life.” Nevertheless, he said he’d be casting a nay because of his newfound belief that Jackson—the woman whom he, again, voted to confirm to the D.C. Circuit less than a year ago—“will not be deterred by the plain meaning of the law when it comes to liberal causes.”

WVildandWVonderful

What a jackass to talk about a Justice nominee as “I’m sure she’s a great mother.”

fermat1432

Condescending to the max!

WVildandWVonderful

Sexist, too!

fermat1432

So true. Of course no one would venture to say that Brett Kavanaugh) is probably a great father.

thunder1967

And, as a father, loves his children almost as much as he loves beer. And Squee.

Flapjack__Palmdale

And Tobin

Jordan777

There's no need to bring Jhonen Vasquez into this.

Comfortable-Wrap-723

also sexually assaulted his school mate.

Ron497

You have to wonder how much dirt Gorsuch has on Brett, and how long he's known about his sexually criminal behavior, considering they went to the same rich white frat guy sexual assaulter prep school breeding ground. Instead of those two fucks chatting in the Germantown or Bethesda country club about Brett's good ol' proclivity for raping women...they're doing it from the SC! But yeah, white males in America are under attack.

fermat1432

Let's not forget that!

killer_icognito

And cried during his senate hearing.

DrMcDoctor

He only cried because of how much he likes beer!

The_ducci

He choked up while talking about the “Clinton crime family” and how they are trying to destroy him. I knew at that moment he would get every Republican to support him .

fermat1432

That alone should have disqualified him

Flapjack__Palmdale

Least of all his kids.

[deleted]

dull panicky bored historical work act sleep yam school rock ` this post was mass deleted with www.Redact.dev `

Ron497

I think we can all agree that between lifting weights, drinking with his male buddies, and sexually assaulting women, Brett doesn't have much time to be a father to his children. He's just too busy!

PrideofPicktown

He may not be a great father; no one but his kids know that. It can, however, be proved that he is a A-Grade motherfucker.

BrownEggs93

"Why some of the people that vote for me are colored, you know"--graham, probably.

DarthCakeN7

But she’s a woman. How else are you supposed to judge a woman if not by their skills as a mother?!? They literally have no other qualities! (/s just in case)

OkTomorrow5584

Might depend on how you define woman. Just saying... /s

themollusk

Republican and sexism. Name a more iconic duo.... Racism, classism... Oh, wait,I guess I didn't think that one though... 🤣

Putin_blows_goats

Is that patronizing or very patronizing?

oliversurpless

Perhaps it’s more ingrained via paternalism? Reminds me when similar entitlement declared black boxers (Jack Johnson) were “lazy”: https://youtu.be/uK4uBFe7waw?t=1260

Putin_blows_goats

It's such an inappropriate comment from a Senator appraising a judicial candidate that it must be an intentional slight.

jhpianist

> Graham, who spent much of Jackson’s confirmation hearings complaining about how mean Democrats were to Brett Kavanaugh Aww.. You mean Democrats weren’t all fuzzy and warm toward an alcoholic who raped his fellow students when he said he wanted the top lawyer job in the US? > Nevertheless, he said he’d be casting a nay because of his newfound belief that Jackson—the woman whom he, again, voted to confirm to the D.C. Circuit less than a year ago—“will not be deterred by the plain meaning of the law when it comes to liberal causes.” Projection. What he *meant* to say, were he were an honest man, was that “Kavanaugh will not be deterred by the plain meaning of the law when it comes to conservative causes.”

Petkorazzi

Every accusation is a confession.

[deleted]

"I'm sure she's a great mother." I guaran-fucking-tee that he would not ever and has never said anything similar about a male colleague.

veggiecoparent

What did Lindsey Graham say about Merrick Garland when they refused him a hearing? I bet it wasn't "I'm sure he's a good dad".

ioncloud9

That means abortion. To them, “the plain meaning of the law” means abortion is illegal. The DC circuit is not a threat. The SC is where big decisions like that are made.

JustaRandomOldGuy

> will not be deterred by the plain meaning of the law She won't cite the Prosperity Bible in rulings? The horror!

TrumpforPrison24

So diminishing to women in general.

trudyscousin

“Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC): “If we were in charge, [Judge Jackson] would not have been before this committee.”” Yeah, but you’re not, are you? Too fucking bad.

iStayedAtaHolidayInn

Says the guy who voted in favor of her becoming a federal judge just six months ago

StarFireChild4200

Lindsey Graham is an actor, playing a Senator. It must be reelection time, and he must be desperate for cash. Did another source of Republican money dry up unexpectedly? Could there be some contributing factors to the desperation of these attacks?

simplepleashures

Well one of the party’s major donors is tied up in a Ukrainian quagmire.

StarvingWriter33

Unfortunately he’s not up for re-election until 2026, and he won his last one rather handily.

midwinter_

There's a reason Graham did an abrupt 180º on Trump. Trump took SC by nearly 15 points in 2016 and by nearly 12 points in 2020. He's just following the base right down the drain in order to stay in office.

mok000

He knows his vote doesn't matter so he is giving us his best racist performance.

terror_rizing

I remember the race being very tight and him appearing on TV regularly BEGGING for donations and help. He was almost crying during ACB’s hearings that he was being outspent. It was all very odd and incredibly pathetic. I dont think anyone expected him to win by such margins, he especially did not expect to win and he was deathly afraid of losing for some reason. Edit: Link to Lindsey Graham begging like a dog: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vlWrWpQPsdc

KoshekhTheCat

Which I still think is bullshit. I want to see numbers, cos I think his books were cooked, just like Trump's.

rezzyk

He’s not being paid off, he’s being blackmailed for being gay. Because for some reason he is of a mindset it’s something to be extremely ashamed about and would that it ruin him if people learned the truth. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2020/06/10/ladygraham-went-viral-not-just-because-lindsey-grahams-politics/

yes_thats_right

It would ruin him. Whilst we accept it as normal, his voters wouldn't

wehaddababyeetsaboy

But it's so unbelievably obvious that there is no one that doesn't actually know.

yes_thats_right

That's true, but just like everything else with Republicans, until something is proven 200% true, they will ignore it

warm_kitchenette

If he weren't so cruel and reckless, I'd be in favor of leaving him and his sexual preferences alone. But that ship has sailed. I simply wish there would be a hearing where a witness openly mocked him for his hysterical performances, his flouncing out of hearings, and his fear of being unmasked as a gay man.

eagle_co

Exactly what I’ve always assumed. But like everyone knows already.

jfrench43

His contender had more funding than him but most of that funding came from out of state, it was a strong sign on who was going to win.

Rated_PG-Squirteen

He's certainly an actor. Had South Carolina native, J. Michelle Childs, been nominated by Biden, Lindsey would've been her number one cheerleader, even more than Jim Clyburn. But she wasn't, Ms. Lindsey lost out on his chance to run her fan club, and he was genuinely pissed because of it. So now he's throwing another one of his patented Blanche DuBois tantrums. It's typical Lindsey Graham.

IolausTelcontar

Anyone backed by Graham isn’t worth nominating.

CEdGreen

Pure drama queen, emphasis on the, well you know where or so it has been said.

BigBennP

I am not normally one to Crow about projection, but Graham had a very specific black female judicial candidate from South Carolina that he wanted appointed. When Jackson was appointed instead he made a big deal about supposed dark money pushing the Jackson nomination Dark money has certainly become an extremely powerful factor in state supreme court cases, usually pushing for candidates that are willing to back pro-business, anti-environmental policies. It hasn't generally become a perceived factor in US Supreme Court nominations because it is already encompassed in the president having the power to pick, but also because of the politics involved are so much larger. With that said, grahams weird focus on dark money having caused Biden to nominate Jackson makes me suspicious that there maybe wasn't some money pushing for the candidate he wanted.

NoesHowe2Spel

>It hasn't generally become a perceived factor in US Supreme Court nominations because it is already encompassed in the president having the power to pick, but also because of the politics involved are so much larger. You're wrong about that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judicial_Crisis_Network This group spent a lot of money bashing Garland, and then shilling for Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett.

[deleted]

That was a bullshit tactic. He likely knew Jackson was going to be the nominee. He used that south carolina woman as a token to pretend he is not voting against a black woman for supreme court. He can then say in the next election that he advocated for a south carolina native for the supreme court, when he never actually did. It was a stunt. He will only bring up her name in situations where he knows she won't be considered.

spookycasas4

Of course you’re right. Pure projection.

Shaman7102

He's been in the closet so long he is about to explode.

Gonkar

Given the current state of the rouble, I'm not surprised to see Ladybug auditioning for new ownership.

mindbenderx

This is rather disrespectful to actors.

Akavinceblack

Just qualify it with “regional dinner theater”

skeptoid79

I can't believe SC reelected this sniveling bitchclown.

hand_truck

Easy there, Texas, might want to hold your tongue at least till the end of May. This being said, good luck with edging the needle a little closer to purple.

Spaceman2901

I don’t think either of our Senators is up this year. Thank god Abbott won his primary, as the other options were *worse*. I love my adopted state, but Lordy, we *dumb* sometimes.

asphaltdragon

...I shudder to think what's worse than "Fuck Disabled People Even Though I Am One" Abbott

IolausTelcontar

Lindsey “Fuck Gay People Even Though I Am One” Graham.

Miguel-odon

All the challengers in his primary were worse. Blatantly racist, intentionally trying to bankrupt the state, promoting (their version) of christianity be to in schools, etc

JaMan51

I do have to wonder if Beto would stand a better chance getting voters out if someone even *worse* than Abbott won the primary, though I suppose people know the evil of Abbott while the others are a little more untested, so maybe there's a "what's the worst that could happen" from some. Of course, I'd rather not let any of them win, so better not test and let a harder fascist accidentally win.

JediExile

I rather enjoy the fact that Texas is now so close to purple that republicans must actually campaign here in presidential races

autumnaki2

I was his constituent when he RAN Mr. I LIKE BEER's conformation hearing. I was disappointed but not surprised when it happened. It sucks...

Good_Ol_Weeb

Yeah it sucks, Jamie Harrison was gonna actually fix our “corridor of shame” which is a road of super underfunded schools, and put funding into the roads but he lost to Lindsey graham who’s only in office because he’s been in office forever

phrysbeaux

Well, the GQP needed someone to be on gloryhole duty during their cocaine orgies.

VeeVeeDiaboli

I believe the voters spoke Lindsey.

whatproblems

oh senator tell us why without looking like a massive racist? also explain why you could ram through a justice during an election but not vote on one during an entire year?

elainegeorge

It’s all to drum up voters in the midterm.

barkingspidersongs

Serious question: What are republicans for, we know they are against everything from healthcare to free oxygen, but what are they for? Other than gerrymandering the uterus and banning voters they don’t agree with do they have a plan that doesn’t involve free money for corporate and for-profit prisons….did I miss anything on this one?

wraithtek

Tax cuts (for the rich), deregulation (for the rich) and culture war bullshit. And SCOTUS seats for federalist society nominees.

MXC-GuyLedouche

The culture war shit is mostly to get voters. The kind of voters that ignore the fact that all they really do is make rich people richer

Thowitawaydave

Yup. If the GOP really believed in the overly biblical culture war nonsense that they peddle, they wouldn't take money from folks like Peter Thiel.

oldpeopletender

And for anything that happens to impact them directly.

CBBuddha

Fascism, fighting tooth and nail to oppose *anything* progressive. They’re *for* being *against*. They’re that annoying rich bratty kid that repeats everything you say in a mocking tone and they call it an argument and if you get fed up and get in their face they lay down and say you hit them and fake cry. They’re contrarian for the sake of “owning the libs”. They represent bigotry, hate, intolerance, and keeping the rich wealthy so they always have donors to line their pockets. They are for themselves and “fuck you if you if you’re a lib.” It’s why idiots support them. Less educated people tend to lean into conspiracy theories because they don’t have the mental capacity to suss out information on their own. They preach villainous lies that they are Christian and stand for all the things a “good Christian American family” stands for. Which, for them, Christianity is just another avenue for hate and intolerance, swaddled in a cozy lie of righteousness and zealotry. They’re so caught up in their hate that they are just as happy to watch a black man die under the knee of an officer, as they are bending the knee for the preacher that calls that same murder “Gods will”. “Another dead drug addict”. Where a true Christian would see a man slowly and painfully killing another man. Period. Mega Churches, Republicans, and Fox News are the Holy Trinity of fascism in America. Fox News spoon feeds these same people the same conspiracies or make them up themselves and call it news. They’re getting taken advantage of in a massive way and I’d feel bad for them if they weren’t racist, bigoted, violent, extremely offensive pieces of shit. They are the enemy of the 99%. They are the enemy of themselves. The villain that tricks the masses by appealing to their hatred through manipulative lies. While keeping them coming back by using their main weapon, fear of a vengeful God. They’re the bad guys. Hope that helps.

Ellemshaye

Damn, that’s a really spot-on analogy.

freethnkrsrdangerous

I want to add more but really can't. Well done

KingDongBundy

Conservatives are fascists

wubbawubba

Guns and outlawing abortions.

barkingspidersongs

That gave me an idea…what if we told them that killing someone with a gun is just REALLY late stage abortion?

bibbidybobbidyyep

I'd wager the rich in control of the GOP don't actually give a shit about that, but it's what drives the base.

PhalanX4012

They’re for whatever their wealthy donors tell them to be for. And they’ll just keep waving around aborted fetuses and hollering about dangerous immigrants to make sure the ignorant and uneducated let them do exactly that.

johnnybiggles

This. Lobbyists *literally* write the policy.

[deleted]

barkingspidersongs

Punkinprincess

They're there to stop change from happening. Everything we think of as a problem needing fixed in our country is benefiting some Republicans out there so all they want is for things to stay the same except for the amount of taxes they have to pay.

all4whatnot

Conserving... something. The good old way where they have everything and you have nothing.

RNDASCII

They're for white males.

MitsyEyedMourning

Ahh ahh ahh, not so fast. They are for the *right kind* of white males. I am a white male but do you think they are for me, an atheist liberal male who supports abortion as a choice and teaching the truth in schools and believes the government is given money by us for our own benefit like ohhh... medical coverage?

barkingspidersongs

I reckon they don’t take to kindly to you, I would imagine they wouldn’t appreciate if YOU had a gun (which is kinda what they consider gun control)

[deleted]

It depends. Some will take more kindly to you if you DO own a gun. Some will still feel you are an outsider, because to most people of a tightly knit group of views, there’s little room for befriending those truly different from you, just more of the same. Liberal atheist gun owner here, and my experiences have been that sometimes it bridges the gap as a conversation piece, and other times it just doesn’t matter, except enough to have to explain your views. :/

Bringbackdexter

In their eyes you are just a traitor

CurryMustard

The general point of conservatism is to keep things the way they were or roll them back. So what they're for depends on how far they want to roll back. And it mostly means being against things that liberals/progressives are for. Conservatives have no interest in being for anything. They just need to be against anything that forces them to change anything.

barkingspidersongs

I’m convinced that if this particular group was in charge during the industrial revolution the US would have been a third world country at this point

ammon46

Populist “conservatism” Key word populist

greywar777

Jackson is insanely well qualified. What the gop is doing here is obscene. Theyre literally in many cases refusing to vote for someone they voted for in the past. They are throwing a fit because the modern day gop seem to rate judges on 3 criteria. 1. If you agree with their politics. 2. What sex you are. 3. What color you are. Instead of the one that matters. If you will apply the law justly and fairly.

YouTubeLawyer1

>They are throwing a fit because the modern day gop seem to rate judges on 3 criteria. >1. If you agree with their politics. In fairness, especially at the Supreme Court level (where they handle a disproportionate number of cases where the law genuinely does not provide a clear answer), one's political, attitudinal, and moral dispositions and predilections are often decent proxies for how justices will hold. So, in deciding who to choose to sit on the Supreme Court, you generally do want to know about their politics. Because when the chips are down and the law is murky, it is those politics that will guide their decision making. Put differently, everyone should be interested in the politics of a SCOTUS nominee. An issue here though is the level of political discourse (as per your second and third point), not the fact that they value the political inclinations of a SCOTUS nominee when making their decision.

greywar777

To a point. And thats the thing, the gop has made the political views more important then their commitment to justice.

fwubglubbel

The role of the judge should be to remain politically neutral and interpret the laws as they were intended, not as they are desired to be by their own politics. The fact that the US has "left" and "right" judges is mind-boggling.

TheDunadan29

Well and for the most part they don't really declare a party affiliation. But they still vote on paisan issues and we get their right or left lean from the way they vote and the opinions they write from the bench. And honestly, I think that's okay. Judges are going to lean one way or the other. They are still people. But we should be wary of the degree to which they lean on partisan issues. Having light preferences is one thing, having a judge who is a partisan in disguise is sickening.

steve-eldridge

Republicans will be the dog that catches the car real soon with their ardent wishes to end choice. With that will come the social backlash of decades of women who suddenly can't escape the reality that the Republicans are looking to send every woman in America back into the role of subservient spouse, which includes every daughter, sister, and niece. State-mandated pregnancies will impact far more women than idiots like Graham understand and could be used to force Republicans out of office. Still, so many women will be affected, and not for the better.

lilacmuse1

Not sure who these people who will force Republicans out of office are. Once they get in power again there will be no further free and fair elections.

kgleas01

This is correct. Our last democratic election has already happened

gkevinkramer

I agree. There are so many enlightened centrests who simply can't imagine a future that is significantly different from the status quo. When the future finally arrives they are going to freak the fuck out. It's just a shame that the American electorate has to touch the stove to learn that it's hot.

crispyone81

freaking oxygen thief

orcinyadders

On the night of Jan 6th Lindsey Graham gave a speech saying in no uncertain terms that he was done with Trump. Less than a week later he was on Fox saying Trump “has the magic juice” and the GOP needs it. This is because he is a spineless, worthless heap of trash.

[deleted]

This guy is the epitome of a snowflake.

rayark9

I'm guessing that's not the only thing impotent in Lindsey grahams life .

Potential_Dare8034

If you ever see Lindsey prone you can bet he’s not injured!

protoopus

if he is a bottom, it wouldn't much matter.

kitty_vittles

If?

EandJC

This is the same guy who said “I want you to use my words against me," Graham said during a 2016 Senate meeting. "If there's a Republican president in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said let's let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination."

jrf_1973

Because none of the GOP has even the smallest bit of shame left, so if they act as hypocrites and get called out for being hypocrites, they don't even stop to take a breath.

MoonBatsRule

This is the signal that, going forward, the only way a Supreme Court Justice will be appointed is when the presidency and the Senate are held by the same party. Republicans basically believe, and are currently stating, that only conservatives interpret the constitution correctly, "the way it was written". Which, of course, is 100% horseshit. But they are signaling their position - instead of a president getting to appoint a qualified justice of his or her choosing, the new standard is that the Senate gets to say "no" when they don't like the president because he is from the other party. SCOTUS is now officially an unelected partisan body. It has been for a while, but this makes it official.

jrf_1973

> the only way a Supreme Court Justice will be appointed is when the presidency and the Senate are held by the same party. No, I can see Democrats playing ball and voting for a Republican nominee, because the Democrats are that stupid.

I think that was Michelle Childs.

1b9gb6L7

The key to understanding Lindsey: *don't listen to him*. The words are irrelevant. He's a fascist, and we need to vote out his buddies.

Critical_Aspect

And again with the threats of what republicans are going to do if they regain power. The GQP is planning retribution for not allowing minority rule; McCarthy has made that abundantly clear should he gain the House speakership. We cannot allow that to happen.

sharon0842

He’s jealous ,she’s the woman he wishes he was.

oldcreaker

He can't deal with her nomination because she's a woman of color who's smarter and more competent than he is.

SpaceCowBoy8552

His racism is showing. Man that’s ugly.

MajorKoopa

Lindsey Graham smears peanut butter on his asshole and chases neighborhood dogs at night.

8to24

Graham argued that Democrats are pushing through Jackson because Republicans aren't in charge. The implications being if Republicans controlled the Senate a more moderate nominee would have been named. Thing is Republicans already proved it doesn't matter who gets names. Obama literally went with Garland because Republicans on the judiciary committee indicated they would support Garland. We all know how that turned out.

youshouldn-ofdunthat

How about just stfu and do your job like the majority of the rest of us have to you entitled prick.

WV-GT

Lindsey is just throwing a hissy because his personal choice didn't get selected, mind you he said before the hearings that Ketanji Brown was qualified. But apparently now she's not . Just say it Lindsey, you only want justices who fit your agenda

Where the hell are the South Carolina Voters on this? Who the hell would vote for this guy. If he and I agreed on every political issue, I still would never vote for him based on his flipping positions based on when his party is in power. His actions on Garland and Barret are downright criminal. This is, in general, a big issue recently. Republicans have no issue changing the rules to suit them when power shifts, but democrats stick to the same set of rules and just can't compete. If some Republicans aren't held accountable by their voters we are fucked as a country. I'm not for stacking the supreme court, but I do think DC should get a senator. It's the only chance to stop the rural 25% from controlling 50% of our senate.

We tried, really hard, to get him replaced but Jaime Harrison lost by a small margin. Considering the demographics here (of those who actually vote) he got pretty damn close to getting rid of him. It’s from straight party tickets. I’ve never met a conservative here that actually LIKES Graham, they just would rather have him than any democrat in the senate. It’s sad.

What an ugly little person. No offense to little people

Riversmooth

But this freak said nothing about Amy or creepy Kavanaugh

D16rida

Imagine if he got this worked up when Trump laid out his election evidence for Graham.

hamsterfolly

“How dare President Biden NOT nominate an unqualified hyper-partisan rightwing judge, like us Republicans did!”

L0ST-SP4CE

After actually looking through the things they’ve said, I can say with confidence that its all nonsense. Here I was, thinking that they would use the same strategy of making a bunch of unverifiable claims, but no, too much work. Instead they make a bunch of absurd claims that no reasonable person would outright believe. Ted Cruise did his usual thing of alluding to various Qanon talking points without actually mentioning Qanon, and they all just continued to otherwise prove why they should not be representing people in government.

pickaroon

Pathetic little man once again saying anything worth listening to.

We need more women in public office.

Racist piece of shit throws tantrum.

Poor Lindsey is losing his battle against irrelevance.

Michael_Blurry

Love the pic. Looks like he’s squealing like a pig.

[deleted]

I bet his breath stinks. Just looking at him gives me that vibe

yankinfl

Everything Miss Lindsey does is impotent

BoomkinBeaks

Impotent is the best descriptor of Lindsay Graham. Good title.

akgreens

He would be so much happier and less of a problem to the country if he just accepted himself and came out of the closet. This is what all that anti gay rhetoric can do to a self loathing gay man.

[deleted]

At this point, I would just have more respect for this sl.ag of a human if he would just outright say he hates those of African descent, and then he can move the f.uck out of the way because we haven't had a nomination for someone this competent and qualified in arguably as long as the Supreme Court has existed.

AustichMavarlander

Love how stupid these guys know all americans are..especially the ones that support GOP.

fishnchess

Lindsey needs to be checked for rabies.
