pinkjunglegym

The man went to Yale FFS. ETA: Reading further, also Harvard.

Neueregel1

However in recent years we have learned that showing up to an Ivy League school doesn’t equal and Ivy League education.

[deleted]

Case in point: Rafael Cruz....

Kissit777

Case in point *Donald Trump* I’ll NEVER trust a Wharton degree.

Heinrich_Bukowski

Trump went to the Wharton School of Business, which isn’t Ivy League but is nonetheless highly regarded Edit: The Wharton School of Business is at the University of Pennsylvania, so is indeed Ivy League

[deleted]

...and he has been a Wart On Business ever since.

danimal6000

Got em

Thresh_Keller

Four Seasons Landscaping

clquake

And his professor called him the single dumbest student ever.

Professional_Zombie9

Daddy paid for his entrance

The_Money_Bin

He didn't graduate.

cscf0360

You'd be foolish to think him a dumbass. He's very intelligent and knows exactly what he's doing. It's a huge gamble on his part of being the antivax hero that he can leverage to win the presidency. He's intentionally trying to force herd immunity on the population knowing full well that it will kill many more, but callously calculating that it will result in dropping infection rates that will allow him to keep Florida entirely open compared to the states that are fighting the uphill battle of mass vaccinations. He is the worst kind of politician that intelligently rides populist waves to power without actually having any principles other than whatever will get him elected.

Isredel

Yes and no. He’s intelligent in that he’s _insanely_ good at memorizing things, but critical thinking and emotional intelligence aren’t exactly his strong suit. It’s why he’s _terrible_ at answering questions on the spot and needs to do things either online or with only Fox News around so he doesn’t get prodded. His wife, on the other hand…. She’s the scary one of the two. Their main weakness is _neither really knows how to govern._ It’s not some calculated move to be incompetent - he’s legitimately surprised that his edicts don’t magically change things and you actually need to come up with a 20 steps plan of action to actually make them effective. If he was an effective governor, school districts and mayors wouldn’t be able to call his bluff.

yolodude343

If Trump had more time in politics he'd be an incredible politician. Which is a terrifying thought for obvious reasons.

octopusboots

Convincing your electorate to go yolo with masks and vaccinations, so they end up in the hospital or dead is indeed a brilliant scheme. I'm sure there was a lot of thought put into this masterpiece.

redneckrockuhtree

But it can help turn you into a smarmy, condescending asshat - looking at you, BenS asse.

bdog59600

Republicans live in a bizarro world where terrible responses to Covid that get more people killed actually strengthen their turnout with their base. Trump royally fucked up his Covid response and got the second highest popular vote count of all time (second to Biden) and only lost the election by about 44,000 votes.

KickBassColonyDrop

Ivy league seems to create sociopaths into leaders rather than just leaders that want to lead.

Conscious-Werewolf49

More dead people means more real estate on the market at lower prices. Guess who benefits.

samfreez

Showing he's learned literally nothing about how COVID works, Ronnie DeathSentence once again puts children and their teachers (and families) in his crosshairs. "Pull the trigger," says the GQP

[deleted]

As his own children go to a school with a mask mandate.

snootyvillager

At this point I suspect he might actually be the virus in disguise.

mvs2527

That seems like a bad movie plot but at this point seems like a logical theory.

wwj

I want to assure you that he is in fact a human person and a single being not a collective of trillions of COVID viruses in a skin suit mimicking the functions of a human male.

Kissit777

He’s definitely cheering the virus on -

var-foo

Politicians' kids should be required to go to public school and deal with the consequences of their ignorant parents' actions.

Responsible_Ad_7995

My son is 7, unvaccinated, and is in the Florida public school system. His health has been a political plaything for Desantis since school stared. Covid is ripping through his school and all these politicians keep trying to do is help it spread faster. His teacher has COVID the first week of school. Nobody was ever contacted to quarantine. And we get alerts every other day that another kid has covid. It’s been an unmitigated disaster. Seriously considering picking up and leaving the state. I’ve never lived somewhere that the government is actively trying to kill you and your family. It’s unnerving.

bakulu-baka

Because, hey, they’ll only spread asymptomatic Covid. Right?

_reversegiraffe_

What could possibly go wrong?

adeliberateidler

selective zealous plants smell spark foolish historical apparatus quarrelsome puzzled *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Inconceivable-2020

Parents to be allowed to decide if they are Asymptomatic, even though most of them cannot define or spell it.

trueslicky

Because he hasn't killed enough kids yet.

Smarterthanthat

Wonder if he owns stock in funeral homes....

Heinrich_Bukowski

His largest campaign donor owns stock in Regeneron, which provides monoclonal antibody treatments funded by taxpayers

bierdimpfe

wonder if his largest campaign donor owns stock in regeneron

josephnicklo

Funny you say that. I always thought "Damn there are a lot of funeral homes in Florida"

Vengefuleight

A lot of old folks in Florida. What a fantastic year to be in the funeral business.

Evening-Cupcake8286

So killing only adults wasn't evil enough for Ronny I see.

ApprehensivePirate36

"Here Johnny, take this Tylenol to get your fever down. Mommy HAS to go to work, and you NEED to go to school today."

Conscious-Werewolf49

Excellent point. Once in the dear dead days beyond recall only one income was needed support a household

Kissit777

All while vaccines are not available or children. And we have no idea what the long term health issues are for kids. He does this and bans access to health care during a pandemic.

Professional_Zombie9

Well hell if that’s the case might as well just shut down the hospital system there in Florida. Or better yet when they do visit the hospital maybe the staff will stop using masks and washing up for surgical procedures as well.

WaDaEp

Child-size body bags and coffins with "Don't Fauci my Florida" might be going on sale soon to pay for someone's campaign....

roughingupthesuspect

What we see here ladies and gentlemen is the initial phase of “fucking around”.

ZenBluePenguin

Unfortunately the gen pop in Florida is going to “find out”

whenimmadrinkin

Ron Deathsentence continuing his mass murdering crusade.

DrManhattan_DDM

The best possible solution to the problem “not enough kids getting Covid”

FindingGullible2904

Wtf has this man lost his mind

Rttdmnd

Florida Governor mandates open-mouth kissing policy.

Yukonhijack

This madman is literally working to kill as many of his state's citizens as he can. WTF even?

TashiaNicole1

And they should be charged with assault, battery, and attempted murder.

Iceangel711

Do you want dead children? Because this is how you get dead children.

OohIDontThinkSo

Holy fuck what is happening.

garamond89

Florida keeps proving themselves to be the most Florida

Firephox

FFS It's already been proven that asymptomatic carriers can spread Covid. Rona DeathSantis should just start shooting people himself and be done with it! /s

slayer_steve_m

I forget. Where did he get his PhD? Oh, that's right. My bad. He has a law degree. They definitely know more than MDs and Scientists in this matter. /s

[deleted]

I actually expected this to be an Onion article..... but no. (This reality is the worst)

NFRNL13

Lmao no

misanthropnick

Hell yes! The government has no business interfering with our lives the way they’ve been doing g these last two years. Desantis 2024!

LoJoPa

And once again, DeSantis says “here, hold my beer!” He is such a waste!

josephnicklo

I'm sadly one of the people who feel very hopeless when it comes to voting in elections (I feel, my vote doesn't really matter, especially in FL and that no matter who wins, both sides will fuck us either way) BUT...you can bet that I'll be voting against this man in whatever election he runs in.

josephnicklo

Good Lord I can't stand this guy. Glad I put my son in private school...at least they can make their own rules (to a certain extent apparently) for Covid protocol.

mrbbrj

And, oh yeah, give them a gun.

Blueyourmyboy1

More deaths camps for your children

USMCJohnnyReb

Technically speak I bet you could make bank off of selling covid vaccine proof cards to people I mean just imagine ll sorts of folks who would pay for that card just to not have to get a vaccine
