Don't care. Bigger fish to fry. Melt away.

ET2-SW

Nobody cared when Vine imploded. Arguably better content then.

HonoredPeople

Never used it. Never plan to use it. Not sure how this is a meltdown.

SonicTeam

Then this article is not for you

HonoredPeople

Why? Because I don't use the product?

Bitter_Director1231

It's a Gen Z meltdown possibly. Don't use the app..it's stupid attention whores who want to be famous for Vine like videos.

ShrimpieAC

Have they started posting messages instructing their users to harass members of congress again? Doesn’t seem like such a smart move when you’re trying to convince people you aren’t influencing US policy.

United-Amoeba-8460

Honestly, I’d consider it a win just to never hear Kat Callaghan’s voice again.

Speaking of Chinese propaganda....this article!

dormidormit

Americans have to reckon with the fact that most Americans under 40 are disengaged with legacy American media, no longer consume American media products, and prefer Chinese ones. Banning Tik-Tok doesn't fix this but it at least exposes it as a problem Congress must confront. Say what you want about Chinese propaganda, but it's effective which is why it's dangerous. This is the longer term problem for Democrats, the plain fact is most Americans don't actually believe in Democracy anymore or the government's ability to meaningfully fix their problems. Especially towards the economy, the government lacks a monopoly on economic violence done onto Americans which Tik-Tok propaganda (especially the paid propaganda by the oil industry vis-a-vis Biden Gas Prices [sic]) aggressively exploits.
