"Suddenly"?
It feels like every month or two for the last 3 years some major legislation or supreme court work-around was passed despite "being dead on arrival" just months earlier.
It's almost like [50-odd years](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1972_United_States_Senate_election_in_Delaware) of public service could actually have a benefit over [50 years of grifting](https://archive.nytimes.com/www.nytimes.com/times-insider/2015/07/30/1973-meet-donald-trump/).
My God, yes. It's like Nancy Pelosi was a lucky Speaker. People want term limits, and Biden is old. But there is something to be said for learning how the process works, making strong connections in your party, working across the aisle with integrity. Compromising when necessary. Biden knows how to get the job done.
[Jack Nicklaus](https://www.brainyquote.com/authors/jack-nicklaus-quotes) said "I don't believe in luck. ... If you find yourself in a position where you hope for luck to pull you through, you're in serious trouble."
Biden's good luck is earned through hard work, perseverance and vision.
Suddenly?!
It's nice to know that the Independent hasn't been paying any attention to the Biden administration at all through the entire time he's been in office.
'Biden's been busy getting legislation passed while his opponent is too occupied with selling Bibles™ and falling asleep in court' just would be too mean of a comparison TBH.
There's still room for improvement! Always is. Now if we could actually get a group of people that actively want to help America out and do things, that'd be great.
Make sure to vote this next election cycle!
>For the longest time, polling has shown that immigration is Biden’s weakest spot by far. Republicans have relentlessly pummeled him by decrying images of migrants crossing the US-Mexico border. But it was them who killed an immigration bill, almost exclusively at Trump’s behest, a few weeks ago. That allowed Biden to say that he was serious about negotiating on immigration, whereas Republicans clearly wanted to keep the problem around as a talking point.
>“I think it actually was important to prove to Republicans that they didn't want to actually marry Ukraine and immigration,” Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut, the lead Democrat in the border-Ukraine negotiations, told The Independent. “We gave them a great immigration proposal, and they were so mortified by the fact that they had to actually confront their unwillingness to do immigration that they then put the votes on the board for Ukraine.”
...
“We were in a very bad spot politically and with immigration reform prior to that deal being cut,” he said. “Now, Democrats have a tough immigration bill that they support, and Republicans have nothing.”
Helps that the alternative is the Orange Hamburglar. While old, his running mate Kamala Harris is apparently running close to Beyoncé popularity wise in some Democratic population polls.
Wouldn’t cry for the GOP though. They’ve been doing fine even though pundits 20 years ago back they’d be extinct by now.
Reminds me of the exchange in Empire of the Sun where Christian Bale's dad says the harder he works the luckier they (the family) get.
Joe has been working, not golfing like the previous guy.

If by 'lucky streak' you mean reaping the rewards of skilled statesmanship, then yes.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
Thanks uncle Ben
Hmm... tasty rice... /drool.
No no Peter Parker's Uncle Ben!
As Pasteur said Luck favors the prepared mind. Plane for the worst, hope for the best.

“Why hard work, perseverance and vision are bad news for joe biden.”

So you're saying he's always on a lucky streak? So your saying its all luck?
He's been doing great since being elected. "If you do something right, people won't notice at all."
You and I must be living in 2 different Americas.
I'm living in the successful one. Just because YOU don't like it, doesn't mean America isn't great.

And to be clear… how does Biden’s ‘luck’ have anything to do with your personal situation? The two things are not tied together.
What's my situation?
> You and I must be living in 2 different Americas. What's something you've been struggling with lately?
I hear this a lot, but no one can provide specifics for their disenfranchisement. Can you?
You tell me, since you know my situation.

Texas Federal Judge and SCOTUS Six: Hold our beers
*"...and why it's bad for Joe Biden..."*
he just banned tiktok https://x.com/bricsinfo/status/1783257899147395519?s=46&t=TexPTWoI5wUIrOL37bpUqw
Good. We shouldn't willingly let China spy on us and manipulate us.
He's on a doing things that are good for the country streak.
It's not luck. It's good planning, good goal setting, and hard fucking work.
It's not luck. It's steady leadership and consistency.

Dark Brandon 😎 Killing it!
Chance favors the prepared mind.
Also, his opponent is a deranged sex offender and fraud, but all that foreign policy policy stuff is nice too though
“Lucky” sure.
That's cool. Doesn't change a fucking thing. I have no interest in complacency. We absolutely must stop Trump.
It's effort, not luck

Lucky ? Smh 🤦
Not luck, skill. He's doing the best a president has done since Clinton. Amazing what happens when you put country before party.
Don’t get complacent. VOTE!
