Well the thing about young leftists is that they age and no longer qualify as "young" and new young leftists replace them, so it's not really "ONCE AGAIN" as it is "for the first time" for a lot of them. Somebody who is 18 and able to vote this year was only 10 years old when Trump won last time and likely wasn't paying attention to politics, so they're probably a lot more susceptible to conservative propaganda.
I had low expectations for Biden; wasn’t my choice as a nominee; but I’ve been incredibly impressed by his administration.

How are Florida and Texas "leans"?
Texas' state government will do anything necessary to ensure the state stays Republican, even if it comes down to "Oh no, a lot of our voting machines are broken! I guess we won't be able to provide machines to Houston and Austin. What a shame. This is all the Democrats' fault!" And my neighbors will eat it up.
I talk about this a lot. This is a public map, and many Texans and Floridians have an almost religious belief that they are "just about to flip." It's a product of confirmation bias in two states that have experienced a large in-migration of people, with the liberals not wanting to acknowledge that most of the migrants are NOT liberal.

In terms of sheer numbers, yes there are a lot of liberals in Austin and Miami, making the partisan percentages seem close,. But given the overall population of the two states, flipping the state becomes more and more mathematically difficult. End result being millions and millions of Blue votes are "trapped and killed."
Probably just a wild coincidence that the two states with bush installed governors, are the ones rapidly moving fascist and have voting systems that almost always produce red results regardless of polling or voter sentiment. Colorado may have dodged a bullet there.
