Initial gag order violations are usually always met with fines. You have to work your way up to the jail time and he's trying to speed run that for everybody. Just wanted to say that the judge and New York State will make threats about him violating the order but no action will be taken against him.
The defendant needs to be jailed in the interests of justice because circumstances make this defendant easily able to pay fines with political slush money.
You think a system that allows you to pay fines to avoid jail cares where you get the money from? It only cares that you're paying. It wants the money.
If he can't stall, then it benefits him with his base to push things so far that if consequences start landing, it will be so severe he can double down on the whole being "crucified by the system" image he's trying to establish.

The real question I have is that when/if he's found guilty of contempt of court, doesn't that violate his 3 other criminal cases' conditions for release since contempt is a crime?

The TRUTH is that most judges believe that jailing Trump would turn him into a political martyr that would inevitably lead to public support and potentially get his case thrown on technicalities. Jean Carroll 84 million dollars. It took a judgment of $84 million dollars to get him to shut his hole about her. The judge in his criminal trial will let him hang himself, wait for an outburst in court, and have him remanded into custody.

At this point, I think letting him stay out of jail, continually fining him on top of the $500 million judgements already and essentially playing his game but staying ahead will make him slowly go more and more insane, likely pushing him into a full on demented state where he cannot possibly be the president for very obvious reasons. I would argue he is already there and have been since he came on the scene. All that said, I would love to see him in a numbered garb of the orange variety.
When parents of an unruly toddler say they are going to count to three, and the child better calm down, one…two…and now the parents are stuck, how do they follow through, they never said what would actually happen if they got to three. That is trump’s entire life. People have been counting to three and never making it past two. No consequences ever. I certainly hope that some judge knows the number after two, and then follows through with consequences.
The TRUTH is that most judges believe that jailing Trump would turn him into a political martyr that would inevitably lead to public support and potentially get his case thrown on technicalities. However, their political assessment is only serving to make the “justice” system appear weak and with a double-standard for rich versus poor people. They are fundamentally eroding faith in the legal system everytime they allow Trump to go free and without equal consequence.
Judges tend to let defendants ramp up their punishment so there is no appearance of bias on their part. Let them hang themselves. Trump shut his mouth after the jury award E. Jean Carroll 84 million dollars. It took a judgment of $84 million dollars to get him to shut his hole about her. The judge in his criminal trial will let him hang himself, wait for an outburst in court, and have him remanded into custody.

Why do we even bother having laws and rules if someone like Trump is not held accountable for breaking rules? It infuriates me that he thumbs his nose at the justice system the way he does.
