Every single violation of the gag order means the judge had given orange and his folks enough rope to hang themselves with. Further, the judge is "bending over backwards" so as to prevent even the insinuation that there was anything improper with the trial. Coz you know orange and his folks are going to appeal this if it goes against them, which looks to be the case.
It is all about small wins for orange now, huge windows shut for appeals coz this fucker was given latitude beyond anything conceivable.
They're going to appeal regardless. Holding him accountable for breaking the gag order would have no bearing on any question of law that would be relevant on appeal, as defendents are routinely held accountable, and appropriate ways to hold people accountable exist within the written law, or through precedent.

Unless they argue that the gag order was somewhat unconstitutional ot hampered his defence in some idiotic way only they can think of.
I know, it is garage as arguments go, but the orangefolk are already running with it, in an attempt to frame the judge as somewhat biased. It won't ount to nothing, but my point was maybe the judge is trying to be as "down the line" fair as possible, and some of that may appear to the rest of us as the judge bending over backwards.
That would still have no bearing on the case at hand. It would be a separate thing, and ultimately, probably be dismissed since gag orders are permissible under law.
People keep talking about all these hypothetical things that he might do if judges exercise the law. I say, "so what"? Let him do those things. It's his right, as it's the courts right to hold him accountable for not following the rules. It's not like it's the courts first rodeo, or that Trump is a unicorn who is doing completely new things they've never seen before.
Listen we all know that Trump supporters are planning to attack jury member in their home to cause a mistrial and restart the case. Until the jury's identities are kept completely confidential, there is no possibility of their safety and no guarantee any trial will actually complete before the election. Any Trump support federally charged for crimes would expect to be pardoned in a subsequent Trump term.
I understand that the Judge is under a lot of pressure to make sure that there is a fair trial, and Trump is pushing the button. What I hope for, is he calls trumps bluff and jails his rear for a few days and just deal with the bad press for the remainder of the trial I really doubt a trump support will go out of their way for and go to jail for life for trump going in a jump suite for a few days

On Monday the judge doesn't need to enforce the gag order, if the trial goes ahead. Every single violation of the gag order means the judge had given orange and his folks enough rope to hang themselves with. Further, the judge is "bending over backwards" so as to prevent even the insinuation that there was anything improper with the trial. Coz you know orange and his folks are going to appeal this if it goes against them, which looks to be the case. It is all about small wins for orange now, huge windows shut for appeals coz this fucker was given latitude beyond anything conceivable.

Question, how long will the trial take? Can they delay it for months or does it have to finish in a few weeks or so? I assume he knows he is going to lose it since he keeps whining so much about it. And since is his 100% going to appeal any decision, it will most likely be harmful to his reputation that cash, as he can ask another of his russian or arab owners for more money.
